warrior that is what he is in about exactly i think. i'm guessing that because the game is lacking that type of roundabout and is possibly making a request for one, haha but he might not be.

I think he means somthing like in Aachen, Germany... The A544 ends up in an roundabout named "Europaplatz"

Imprezza05: Well actually the game doesn't totally lack that type of roundabout. Try plopping an avenue roundabout deleting the center tiles and dragging elevated highway through the middle. you will see it works but the texture mucks up and Memo has said this could be fixed wih a few RULs.

,,----,, avenue roundabout

==== el highway

==== el highway

''----'' avenue roundabout

Do you guys actually realize how much work it takes to make an interchange?  Months of work, just for one intersection.  It would be better if you guys actually tried to learn how to do some of the work yourselves rather than post pictures of what you would like.

I almost guarentee you that thing like this will never get done, its too much effort and not only one person can do it by themselves.  We have way too few members who actually know how to do this work and each one of us has our own projects in which we would like to see finished first.

Good luck with this keeping posting pictures so that noone will get to work on this.

as much as i'd like to say...i understand your point....some things do get through....

perhaps somwhere they should make tutorials on how to make the stuff so instead of B****ing about the lack of developers.... we could add more.....

i have always wanted to make interchanges, but i have no clue what sizes - etc..... i have the programs...just don't know how...

I'll back him up here.

There are tutorials, there are people offering to teach. Theres just nobody who actually cares enough to devote hours and hours of thier personal time into learning how to do this, only to find out they suck at it. It takes so much time and effort to mod something like that, its insane. You can build the most beautiful works of art, but the skill to make them function is something all different.

Take Blahdy for instance. Amazing BAT'er, makes some extremely realistic ramps, yet they usually fall to just being eye-candy because nobody has taken the time to learn how to do the modding. Its a real hard job, a REALLY hard job. And if you get good at it, you get people flooding your inbox with help requests.

There, thats how it is. I'm sure if you looked around on the Omnibus and forums you'd find tutorials. I'm sure the gods like Swamper, Blahdy, and Tarksus would be willing to help if you developed some basic skills, all it would do is give them some free time if there was another set of hands working at the requests.

There are tutorials.  They arent handed out all the freely all the time though.  Reason being the person who wants them needs to show they have some experience and are willing to learn and spend the time.  Tranist modding is a different beast and it is hard to tame at first.

If you REALLY want to see the 80 some-odd page introduction to Transit Modding look for the Interchange Tutorial by Redlotus, I dont have the link off hand, but its been posted many times.  The transit modders are willing to help but are reluctant to put the time into someone who knows nothing about modding since they will easily get lost.  Much reading and learning should be done before you enter transit modding because once you ask for help that way you will understand what we are talking about.

Recommended readings:  (Knowledge of SC4Tool, iLive Reader, Lot Editor, FSHman is required)

- Any experiments by Tropod

- Red Lotus Interchange Tutorial

- File Formats Threads (ones with RUL and SC4Path) these are found in the Modding R&D Forum.

- While reading these things ask for guidence

- Transit Modding is recommended that you are an intermediate to expert user of iLive Reader

For those who see that things get made, it is generally because it is already on someone's "to do" list.
