Sorry, people, for not updating earlier. I was on an expedition (more info on that after the replies).

    Replies:

Amerikaner: Yes, the pond is beautiful. It just feels, so , 'relaxing.

    Simfan34: Thanks for comming by!

jrhnemo: Lol...actually the name "The Village" is the title of a movie about a village that is isolated from the world, too, supposedly they were stuck in the 1800's while life around them moved on.

    clonedclone87: Thanks!

DougOZ: lol- I am, too. We don't seem to know wether they are the enemy or the U.S, but, time will tell.

Needgames: For some reason, fallout doesn't seem to be a problem. Our radioactivity detectors don't seem to pick up much radioactive substances. However, there are cases that rainstorms do bring in some radiology, and much of the village is warned to be inside bomb-shelters. But after the rain subsides, the villagers can come back out again.

    Dralin321: Thanks!

Alakazam: Lol! Thanks for stopping by!

    Explodingsims: Thanks!

    Fissilebread: Thank you very much.

azul_blue_aoi: I hope to see you again!

Cowboy[Texas] Don't worry, everythings fine in the village. But outside-your just about to find out in this next update (which is on this same post)

    Yoshiisland:Lol...thanks for coming back!

I appreciate everyone stopping by to view my adventures...

But now, times have changed, and things are beggining to look desperate.

Mayor Abansadela ordered a group of men to travel to the outside of the village to search for any other small villages like this one, so that if there is an emergancy, we may be able to evacuate the villagers to a safer place.

    I volunteered.

Not knowing the dangers I would face, I packed my bags, got a tent, and acted like I was going camping with my friends back in the old days. Oh, how I missed those days! But now was no time for memories. It was a time to look for a way to save the people of The Village.

Now I was standing in the village square, waiting with the group of guys that were ordered to travel with me. Here are the names:

    Bryce

    Jack

    Earl (a.k.a. "Storm")

They were very nice people, and this was a good chance to actually talk to some of these villagers and see how their life was like.

Mayor Abansadela told us there was a secret path in the woods that would lead us to the mountains, and possibly, another small village like this one.

    We found it easily.

At first, the dense forest dissapated, and all around us was just plain, old grass. Green.

    pic2iy1.jpg

Very natural, to say the least. But...that didn't last long. All of a sudden, a huge forest loomed in front of us. It seemed like a wall of trees.

    pic3bq7.jpg

The forest seemed to go on forever. We also saw some mountains at the end. Which meant more misery.

While we were on the trail, we found some high-voltage power lines along the way. That meant there was civilization was somewhere near us. Yay.

    pic4lv8.jpg

The trail was very harsh. Grass grew everywhere, Even full-blown trees grew in the middle of the path. Logs were everywhere, sometimes even crushing the fence.

Soon there was a turn in the path.

    pic5ff3.jpg

This was getting boring. Untill...the path began getting steeper, and steeper. It soon get extremely steep, to the point of our group holding on the fence.

    pic7yw8.jpg

Soon, it became a small dirt road...and then we saw something that was life-changing.

    To be continued...

Really hate being kept in the dark with those cliffhangers. Wonder who built such a strange path with high fences on both sides, and for what purpose? Great we also leave the village.

    Dear people of Simtropolis,

I am so sorry (you might be getting tired of me saying sorry) that i didnt update. And worse timing, too! I went on a long vacation (real world) and I never notified you guys. Thank you though for continuing looking in this CJ (I see your getting frantic about the next update)

This is just a quick reply:
TO ALL: Thank you very much about the comments! I assure you, the next update will be in the next day! I already have the snapshots, but for some reason the program saved them into corrupted files...32.gif

Just some info to answer some questions...
The fences were built in case of emergancies. They were built when the village was built, but were forgotten. Soon nature took over, resulting grass growing out of control, forests springing up...
    It is kinda mysterious, though

(Also, to tell the truth, these pictures (the Navy pics) were given a rain effect, so no rain mod was used)

The next update is right around the corner (lol...literally it is)

    Hello, all!

This is the next update, the one you all have been waiting for, lol.

And so I continued walking with my pals on the extremly steep slope. Like I said, it was hardly walking. It was more like the 'clinging on the fence for your life'  type of thing. Soon, after 30 minuor so, the steep slope stopped, and there was a corner in the fence. We continued on the path. Soon, the fences were gone. The path became a normal road, but the pavement was sorta rough and in some cases peices were sticking out and all broken and stuff, as my group described it. It was as if there was a battle here.

    pic8zq4.jpg

We came accross an abandoned car. There were bullet holes everywhere, and additionally there was a huge hole on the passanger side of the car, as if someone shot it with a mosterous bozooka or something. (you can sorta see the car in the picture above.)

Soon, the road went up, which was no problem, but ahead of us we saw it dip down. Like, completley dip down. I thought this mission was a complete failure and it would take weeks, if not, months to find something civilised. But when I approched the steep downhill, me and my group went in shock.

    pic9tx2.jpg

    pic11dt4.jpg

Soon it just dawned on me. This was a village, just like ours. It was small, tiny, and had its own rescources. This must be one of the many villages that weren't able to survive.

We didn't speak. We continued walking into the village, or what was of the village. Just thinking of the town crumpling on itself because of corruptedness, panick, and lack of enforcement made me shudder.

But then, I soon realized that this town didn't fall because of itself, it was because of something else. Documents were found at the ruins of the city hall, so were many journals in ruins of houses, all saying that this town was as prosperous as ours. What then, could cause this village to come to brutal end?

Soon, I found the answer. Remains of body armor, army uniforms, and left over pieces of guns and crud that were found on the streets gave the answer that an invasion took place, involving this peacful village. My heart began to race, thinking that the military base back home could be housing this evil army! What if it was? What if all the people in our village would become dead meat? I became frantic, and my friends wanted to know why I was acting all nervous.

"Dude, like, why are you all franticy and everything?" said Earl

"Man, have you been on planet Earth lately?" I said. "This looks like an invasion swept through here!! What if the village back home is in danger? What if the army already captured it?!"

"Dude, chill. If something bad happened overthere, Mayor Abansadela would have told us by now by radioing us."

"...well, I guess your right then," I answered back. He was right, afterall. The mayor said he would radio us in case of emergancy. This kinda calmed me down, but even though still, I wasn't done worrying.

We didn't find anybody alive, or dead, in that case. It was as if everyone had been taken

So we continued on the journey on a small, old road that lead us accross a large river, into the plains.

    ~To be continued~

P.S This is just a small update. A bigger one will be here soon, sooner than you think.

EDIT: Lol, Cowboy[Texas] That's funny what you said.
