EDIT: I changed my mind. I saw southeastern characters, so my new guess is Jakarta.

It's not Vietnam as in Vietnam they use the same letters(characters) as us becuase of da French.

I would say however that it does have a French influence(the road signs)

Phneom Phen( I can't spell it, but capital of Cambodia)

    or somewhere in Laos?

I don't really see any french influece, but there is strong russain one. And I'm not talking just about chirch.

So it is with almost no doubt Harbin, most "russain" of chinese cities. Which is a little surprise given that it was built by Russians when they constructed railroad in north china in the very end of XIX century. Well construction was primarely done by chinese, but with Russain managment and money.

BTW the this is St. Sophia chirch

Mmmm, script on the buildings and the cars in the foreground are definitely China, but the little "jeep" and the church in the centre look Russian. Perhaps somewhere far western China (bordering on all the 'stans)?

    Seoul ? maybe in the 70's 20.gif

I'm going to guess Delhi, it looks somewhere in India due to the alphabet and the fact the cars are driving on the left

It is india, that much is about I'm 100% sure - cars, script, faces and clothes, overall shabby look (I'm not judgmental about it, but in India people don't see to care about it all that much...)

but which city exactly is very difficult, if not impossible to say. there is NOTHING typical in the picture

First off, I saw the yellow sign in the corner. Second off, that was to teach you a lesson I learned the hard way. Third off, I'm guessing Rangpur, because I have that damn gin commercial stuck in my head! TopCliff

Ha! Kyoto! Are you kidding?! (not to be offensive)...Not even close...Japanese isn't spelled like that...and also...Japan is so modern...the streets are all paved neatly with great infrastructure...

from looking at the carts...plastic bags...and the glowing signs...I'll say somewhere in Southeast Asia...Vietnam, possibly or Thailand (most likely not)...
