Death by a meteor screaming through the atmosphere than exploding.  After the explosion, a small chunk of the meteor survived and randomly hit you on the head.  What are the odds?

The 1 WTC gains sentience (as well as a set of arms and legs) and decides to fight the Sears Tower (which also becomes alive and has arms+legs) on it's home turf. The two buildings punch, kick and throw each other, resulting in most of Chicago being pulverized and that is how Simtropolis loses Prophet42..
