Looks like I missed some updates! So thats the crazy bat thing... weird. I really think manbat and batman should be buddies, I mean think about it, "Batman and Manbat". Batman would be good and fight crime, but Manbat would be mean and do crimes. But Batman would still love him because Batman is caring and understanding. What a cool show that would be...

Oh and last night I had a dream about Batman!! Okay, so Batman's wife (some hot looking blonde girl) was in this little submarine type thing picking up batman (batman, me, was running away from the law). So I opened the door of the submarine, and we were going in this little tunnel thingy underwater that was really long. I closed the door weird, which messed up the pressure or something, and the window in the door was starting to crack. And my wife (lets call her Trixie) was like "batman, hold the door, the pressure is messed up!!" and I'm like "Oh crap" and since we were in the tunnel, if the window cracked we'd have to swim all the way out, and as I said, it was a long tunnel. But luckily we got all the way through the tunnel. Then we saw all these evil little boats that were police boats making sure batman didn't get into this facility (I have no idea what the facility was for). So I laid on my back and floated over to some steps leading up to the facility. I tiptoed in, and there I was. I had to get out fast (keep in mind I'm batman and the entire city is on a manhunt for me). I'm walking around, looking for a way out, and I see this little girl, and she was trying to get out too. We never spoke, but in the end I helped her get out. So once I was out, it was daylight. I heard this voice, and everyone was either lying on the ground and half dead or they were running around screaming. If you touched one of the bodies on the ground, you were sucked into them some how. Then this huge... thing came blasting through the wall. It looked like the guy from one of the Spiderman movies, the octopus guy. And we fought, and then I woke up.

Weird...

Superb work on the zoo. Good use of the tree variety, as well as hedges and fences to generate realism.

    The conclusion of

On Leather Wings will involve an aerial pursuit between Batman and the Man-Bat. This Settings update will show the cityscape and skyline of the area they'll flying over.

Deever: Hey, don't worry about, Deever. If you're busy with your school work, I understand. I'd hate to be a cause for distraction. Hell, I'll be heading back in a couple of weeks too.

Glad you like how the pages are getting better. I'm still not content with this one, but they'll get even better as time goes on. It's a learning process. I adjust picture sizes, page layouts, graphics, etc. After a few months, I'm getting the hang of it and I'm actually appreciating my work.

It's also great that you noticed the glass smashing. It took some meticulous pausing to get the glass just right.

csgcseri: Yep. It's in Robinson's Park (Gotham's Central Park counterpart). You can see Robinson in my region view.

topcliff: That'll do for now. 2.gif

jacqulina: Heh. No penguins for now...2.gif

jrhnemo: Do you watch LOST? That submarine/underwater sequence sounds exactly like the Season 3 finale.

sunrise: Thanks and glad you liked the zoo. Realism is my playing style.

Yes, we all know realism is your style. I like the fact that in Gotham the scrapers go on for miles. All the realism in the skyline is superb, but my final question: are there any suburbs?

I love those night views of the city. Normally I don't care for too many night pics, as I prefer to see detail and the glow tends to hide it. Perhaps it is your zoom level, or maybe the fact that there is some green space/other space (freeways, el) inbetween buildings so that it isn't 100% skycraper jungle. Whatever the reason, I'm addicted to your cj.

Nice night pics there. Good variety in the skyline, and it's good to see little\no repetition. I also like the sunken avenue\expressway there, sunken networks always look great next to downtowns. Keep up the excellent work, and I can't wait for more!

Nice skyline. I always liked night skylines. Are there any downloaded skyscrapers, or only original?

This CJ is great. You put two of the best things together... SC4 and Batman. I thought I was a dedicated fan until I saw this CJ, but you have definitely surpassed me. (I am still running a closes second as far as Batman is concern...lol). Your harbor, Wayne manor, crime alley... I could list all of them....but they are great. Keep up the great work and post often. I will definitely check out any other CJ you might have.

The conclusion of On Leather Wings.

topcliff: I only built one suburb and that was the district, Gotham Heights (where Wayne Manor is). You can see it in the region view. It's the northern-most city tile.

Benedict: As ironic as it sounds, I hate skyscraper jungles. I prefer there to be adequate spacing in between buildings. Some CJers just don't get it. Glad you like this CJ so much, too. It's nice to see a devoted reader.

    BubbaGump: Oyyy, thanks.

MasterPlanMan: Thanks. Coming from you, that means a lot!

ky72x: Thanks! When I see a repeating building (or a Maxis one that doesn't fit in the setting), I plop a landmark in its place. It's tedious, but the results are worth it. I really like sunken expressways too. I took a lot of inspiration from this. Ironically, it's Metropolis: Gotham's polar opposite.

    csgsceri: They're all downloaded...42.gif

ZGMF-X88S: Thanks! You're username is hell to type though. 2.gif

moniquetoi: Thanks for the feedback. It's nice to see some Batman fans here too.

    DaViru$: Thanks as always.

Kind've hard to do action sequences, isn't it?

Although I'm not sure why covering his eyes would make him crash. Wasn't he just saying how much he loves the senses of the bats? Like their echolocation? Goodness...

Still great pics of downtown. You do do a good job of spaceing the buildings out. I've learned many tricks in creating good looking cities. In real life the buildings may be right next to each other, but from the air they look spaced out. If you place them right next to each other in SC4, they look...right next to each other. In other words, it doesn't matter where they are...only where they LOOK like they are...

The sequencing of the images gives this illusion that makes me see Batman in the SC4 pictures (namely the construction area part). I don't know how, it just does.

I think I should get my eyes checked.

    Superb.

My only suggestion would be to add more eerie haze on the second to last update.

football_fever: It is indeed hard to do action sequences. One thing's for sure--they look better in motion. 2.gif But Batman didn't just cover the Man-Bat's ears, he steered him towards the parking garage wall. Wham. Instant concussion. Messy, but it works.

If you place them right next to each other in SC4, they look...right next to each other. In other words, it doesn't matter where they are...only where they LOOK like they are...quote>

    Well, if you say so...3.gif

    csgscseri: Thanks.

jacqulina: Thanks for the comment. And sorry about that--no Penguin.

Deever: Yes, that would indeed be recommended.

Benedict: Thanks. I was indeed lucky enough to find a construction set that looked similar to the one used.

siso43: You sure like the word "story..."

giorgos69: Well, I can't do anything about that now. I've moved on. Thanks for the feedback.

Beautiful title cards. I particularly like your version better, the silhouette makes for some dramatic visuals.

I don't really like Robin that much, personally I think batman works better alone. Oh, and no, I don't watch LOST.

Haley's Circus is a traveling performance company famous for its acrobatic attractions and animal acts. This is the circus's first time in Gotham City...

BubbaGump: Thanks. It was tricky trying to find the right font so I just settled with arial.

jrhnemo: Some of the best Batman stories involved Robin, so I couldn't just leave him out. I need him in this CJ. You can only have loner-Batman up to a certain point.

    inifinitum19: Thanks.

Benedict: Me too. Wait a minute...

    The Flying Graysons

Haley's Circus' most famous attraction, the Flying Graysons dazzle audiences with their death-defying acrobatic routines. The Flying Graysons perform amazing stunts, hundreds of feet in the air, without the aid of a net. The youngest Grayson (their son) showed talent on the trapeze from such an early age, he was nicknamed the Boy Wonder.

    Tony Zucco

He's just one of Gotham's rotten apples. Tony Zucco, young and careless, is just one of the many hopefuls trying to make a name for himself in the Gotham mob scene. Though not quite in the racketeering business, Zucco is quite skilled at extortion and sabatoge.

It saddens me that in the comics all Italians are in the mob. It makes me want to sob. I like the effect you did with the spotlights. Perhaps you could do a tutorial for your viewers Photoshopping insights?

The lighting effects are gorgeous and the circus is very well-made. Nice use of the modular amusement park. That Zucco guy is suspicious though...
