@ytr45 I made it by simply using the hole digging lots. If you want more details then there are a few tutorials on the omnibus.

@Pizza I think your pictures dont work. Try posting them on a site like image shack where there is no subscription fees.

Thanks in advance, Big Thing

My CJ Airport, circa 1961 (It's supposed to say 2010 in the bottom corner.  This is a new picture in spite of the date):01-03_15-SoEaDoOverview.jpg

@david1314:  That is a truly amazing airport! Great work on the diagonal taxiway (abandoned runway?) and the diagonal piers in the bottom right corner. Fantastic!

Thanks.  The diagonal is actually an in service runway.  It's only 1960, so many runways did not have the multitude of markings they do today.  I didn't want to have the threshold markings on the orthogonal runway, but there aren't any ends without it.  Maybe I'll make my own some day....

From Saint Francis Bay CJ

Arrival at SFX

You arrive finally over Saint Francis Bay the capital of the state of Olympia. the plane descends and begins its final approach to SFX, Saint Francis International Airport to the west of the main city.

RegionalOverview01072010.jpg

The airport comes into focus as you approach the southern end of the "long" runway that is over 10,500 feet long. Compared to the short runway which is 8,000 feet long. You can see Aigosthena tower.

SFXovershot.jpg

This tower is the radiowave signal hub for all television, radio, EMS, cellular, etc. that reaches all over Saint Francis Bay Area.

RadioTower.jpg

The plane gently touches down and you roll towards the intersection of the runways.

RunwaySouth.jpg

The plane decelerates more as you go past the intersection.

AccessRoad.jpg

The plane turns away from the main terminal into the facilities area. It seems that the tower has some backed up terminal traffic.

AirCargo.jpg

The plane travels to the northern end of the long runway and stops in a holding area near the terminal.

RunwayNorth.jpg

A few minutes later, the plane goes to the terminal and allows everyone to exit. You meet up with an airport shuttle bus near short term parking. The bus heads away from the main city? Why?

MainTerminal.jpg

Oh yes the rental cars are in the long term parking area. You get a rental car and head back. You circle a large man made lake, then northward past the main terminal.

LongTermPark.jpg

Just over 1 mile from the main terminal you enter the postage stamp area of BayPoint.

BayPointOvershot.jpg

Here in BayPoint is the Marriott, along with the Conrad Hotel, the BayPoint Mall, and the Hologion Tower. Only Air travellers seem to frequent this area. Decades before now, the Hologion Tower was used to spot cargo ships coming into the Bay. Speculators before the invention of ship to shore radio would telegraph ahead to the city what cargo ships were coming in. These speculators would attempt to corner the markets with advance knowledge of the incoming wares.

Marriott.jpg

You quietly settle into your reserved room at the Marriott.

Here's my airport:

It's name: Bayshore Airport

Runways: Rumway 9/18

It's a focus city for Delta in holiday seasons and it's by several other airlines seasonally

due to Bayshore State's magnificient beaches.

Here we start with with a legend:

apron.jpg

Next is the Delta International Terminal. Only Delta/Northwest planes use this terminal. It's connected to T1 Domestic Terminal by an underground walkway.

Next is North American/Domestic Terminal

Next is Terminal 2-3. Terminal 2 is the original terminal from 1948 and still standing now. Terminal 3 is a devolopment of Terminal 2 to provide extra space for Delta.

Left: Terminal 3

Right: Terminal 4

TekindusT: Nice airport, but for realism, That ATCT is a little too close to the runway. Moving it 3 or 4 tiles back would be better.

@Raysfan16: that looks kinda boring with most of the planes being Boeing 747. Add up some regional/ B737 planes on the terminal
