Wow, those are the best suburbs I have ever seen! You should see my suburbs when I show part one of two in my cj of Oswego. I am going to show a neighboring city. The first update is going to be out tomorrow. Keep it up!

To penguin007 - Thanks Will! Lot of golf courses around Lincoln... more than in my hometown!

To bakercity - Thanks a lot JKB!!! ;-)

Yes, it's 1.00 pm... the pause isn't finished, also I have time... ;-)

Yesterday, I finished to build the farmlands and I spend time to play with the U-Drive it missions... I took some pictures ;-)

Next week I can build the suburbs!!!

To Schulmanator - Thanks a lot my friend! I'm glad to see you here and your avatar is cool!!!

    See ya and take care.

Hello, David!! Yeah, sorry, I was out so much time.....my Computer simply died, the mother board was burnt and the same with the sound and video cards....finally I could get enough money to buy new ones and here I am!

Thank you for being worried about me! hehehe!

Great job in Lincoln while I wasn't here..incredible job! Those suburbs and outskirts of Lincoln are amazing, my friend! West Holmes Park is superb! This sports park reminds me to our sports park here in Aviles, but kinda of bigger than ours. And those houses, as sprawly as always. Cool work!

Hehehehe look at those Lego virtual trucks!! I used to make Lego trucks when I was 7 ! But I had bland results due to my lack of pieces 3.gif

Well, here I am, kinda back, but really busy with School, just wanted to make you know I am here!

    bye, take care

    Cristian

I've been following this CJ for a while now, but I felt like I should stop lurking and just post that this is one of the best looking cities I've ever seen, cudos! Must take ages to do!  Also, where did you get that wal-mart bat?  Is there another exchange out there I don't know about.

Absolutely fantastic rural and suburban areas! The attention to detail is superb I reckon, and I think the nightlife pic of the suburb is really cool. I have two questions though, 1: Did you use a download to get the mayor mode trees (or at least pine trees) into the god mode tree planting tool? Or did you just do the long way and plop them from mayor mode? And 2: How did you get that many suburban homes without them becoming unemployed and abandoned?

    REPLIES

To penguin007 - Tomorrow my friend, tomorrow ;-) Thanks for posting!

To asturianu - Hi Christian! You too? My computer died four-five weeks ago... lol, what a coincidence ;-p Thanks a lot for your comments, me too I tried to build large trucks with Lego, but I've only enought pieces for one or two trucks... Now, I can build how many I want cheaper tha to buy pieces...

    Take care too!

To CocaTertoka - I'll make an update tomorrow! Just I must to think to post one time pictures about my airport too... Thanks a lot!

To bighaben - Thanks a lot my friend! Yeah, I build lot of cities before... now I've a kind of experience with SC4...

For Wal-Mart, I'll find it here on the STEX but the file is closed... also PM your e-mail adress and I'll send it to you!!! (Original is from Bobbo)

To Teeparex - Thanks ;-) I take my time when building now...

For the threes, I use the God Mod... tip Ctrl-Alt-Shif-X, and you must maintain them when clicking on the "trees" on the God Mode...

For the house, I cheat... :-p They are ploppable, but relatively shaky (often on farmlands) so, I tried to use a mod against dilapidation/abandonement and when I take picture, I tip on Ctrl/Alt/Shift/X and when a dialog box appears, I tip "tastyzots"... also the zots disappear...

I love the way the houses look, and the way the lots are the same terrain as the land around them. Very nice. I also like the farm in the bottom right in the 6th photo.

To penguin007 - Nice, thank you! The pond is not in the right place... so, I took the pictures, after I did some modificatons... I've just added three ponds and a R$$ area sout of the map!

    Thanks again ;-)

To bakercity - Thanks JKB! I agree with you! Quiet and green...

To Schulmanator - Right! After building, I like to spend time with the U-Drive It... Unfortunately, the UDI don't allow you to play with a pedestrian... (it would be very long to go throu the map)...

    Thanks a lot for posting!

To Teeparex - Thanks, yes, I created all the building (originals from Simgoober) with the same texture for the ground, it looks also better... Thanks again!

    David ;-)

    REPLIES

To jacqulina - Thanks a lot! I've began to build the university area... soon finished ;-)

To King Titan - Thanks, I must to thank the guy who did these amazing golf courses!!! Very usefull!

To sammerhammer747 - Thanks a lot my friend! I prefer to start so, because, often we see poeple buidling the downtown first with nice picture and cool skyscraper plus two-three border cities, than, it's finished... CJ done... It is important to place the city in his land context ... A city is rarely alone!

HOPE YOU HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN THE LARGE SATELLITE VIEW !!!!

that satellite image is simply unbelievable. excellent work....wow. one question though, i notice most of your suburbs use 1x3 housing. when i do this in my suburbs, i tend to have a couple of 3x3 luxury mansions replace the smaller homes. i either have to make a few of them historical to protect the rest, or i have to have little gaps in zoning, which is annoying and time consuming to fill in. do you simply play with the taxes to keep out the $$$? i mean..in other areas you see to have allowed larger lots to develop. what's the best way to control the housing thats built?

awesome CJ, cant wait to see the main part of Lincoln

Wow, awsome golf course! Very nicely spread out, very realistic! I actually made my first custom golf course in Fosterville, and I'm going to show it later today, come check it out.

    -bbfan02-

Also, what map do you use? And what size is every city you use?
