SpecialEddie:  That's actually the regular Brigatine Mod.  I don't remember it being so green either, but I agree that it would look awesome in Gotham City.  And yes, I really love Naboo.  After playing that game on Nintendo 64 - The Battle for Naboo - it really makes the rest of the planet look amazing.  It's like by looking at the historic buildings and countryside you can tell there is a lot of peace and history there.  You hit it right on...Naboo is inspiration.

PS - I barely recognized that it was you with that new avatar.  You're a tricky guy...

homeandaway:  Like I said above, I don't remember that mod being so green!  I'm glad I wasn't the only one to see it like that.  I thought maybe it was the terrain mod that I had too

jacqulina:  I can work quickly depending on what it is, but certain things, like those waterfalls, take time.  It takes a lot to get those things working right.  Lots of little adjustments with the mayor mode terrain tools.  But since your waterfalls and free-flowing streams always look amazing, I probably don't have to tell you about the work that goes into them...

zelgadis:  That island castle is one of SOMY's new toys.  I love his stuff

SamTheMan:  Thanks for visiting, hope to see you again soon

HabLeUrG:  haha I bet you played with every water mod there was.  For Mini-Earth, do you keep the same one on every map, or did you change it like you did with the terrain mods?

I don't really have an update at the moment, but I wanted to get some replies done while I'm at work and can't work on SC4.  I also would like to announce my entry into the new CJ union Candy Makers led by everyone's favorite visual confectionist ilikehotdogsalot.  Starting with the last couple pictures, I'll be using some different photoshopping techniques.  That way, since most of these places will be showing up in Crystal City, it will look quite different...hopefully.

See you next time - and for those of you that are interested, there will be a new Crystal City update either tomorrow or Sunday.

Strange. I've been using the Brigantine mod for months now, and it's blue...not green. Did you download it from the STEX or PEG's site? And as for the Naboo inspiration--wow, I'm too good. That's 50 quiz points for me!

Yes, I am a pretty tricky guy. I can change my online look with the change of an 80 pixel picture. I am just too amazing. I can't believe it.

Mine's the same way, I've used it for Galesfe City the whole time, and it definitely isn't green.

i downloaded a mod from this site which allowed you to have red, orange, green, blue, caribbean, puke coulours - but green was the only one allowing me to have - no others, so i deleted it from my plugins folder and downloaded a different mod - just blue - very simple and easy, anyway my friend, - i look forwards to seing more of this CJ!

    Voulpiotis:  Sky-high Sci-fi...hmmm...I like it

SpecialEddie:  I forgot to tell you where I got it.  I got it here from the STEX.  I didn't think it was green.  And I'm definitely not playing any GIMP tricks on anyone...

homeandaway:  The in-game water is nice, but not compared to PEG's stuff

Leech10:  That's really strange.  Maybe it has to do with the Missouri Breaks terrain mod?

HabLeUrG:  You for sure went through all the terrain mods though.  You have some that I don't even recognize

bartonn:  Good to have you back.  You can blast off from any part of the spaceport that's completed

Not a big update this time, but still important.  I didn't like the government center before.  I realized that an important planet like Kharrazian would have a really nice government center.  Here is the new area.

    04.jpg

I have the same building for the Supreme Court, but everything else has changed, and I eliminated one building.

Here is the new capitol building

    02.jpg

    The new garden courtyard

    03.jpg

    And finally the whole area

    01.jpg

And if you didn't know already, this CJ is now in the new group started by ilikehotdogsalot called Candy Creators.  It's a union of CJs that are eye candy only.  If you're interested, check the links in my sig, and definitely check out the other CJs.  Your eyes will be happy you did.

the capital looks good and it's a lovely courtyard. 4.gif

Can't help but wonder if having a forest right up against the capitol building is a good idea. I can only imagine assassins lurking in the trees. 3.gif

jacqulina:  yeah, for some reason I like terraforming and making nature.  Some girl I know got me interested in it....

bartonn:  Yes, first class...you don't want to know what the other ticket prices will get you...ugh

Schulmanator:  Hmm...I wonder what rock concerts on foreign planets sound like

    homeandaway:  What's english?  PEG?

zelgadis:  You raise a good concern, zel.  I don't know the answer, but I'll guess that since this is a very very very rich area, the security is the best money can buy.  Also, interstellar politics is handled in Portalis, and the domestic Kharrazian government are the only ones that hang out around there.

ilikehotdogsalot:  You raise a very good point also.  I need to work on my Earth cities too!  I've been neglecting Alamosa, the LA-based city where most of the flashbacks occur.  Earth is a planet too, right?

This is an idea I had today...I may scrap it if it gets a bad response, but it's a tiny hidaway tucked away in the mountains.

    This is the whole area

    06.jpg

    Closer view

    03-1.jpg

Cable car to get there - I may get rid of this.  It doesn't fit so well

    04-1.jpg

And what's this?  A couple peaks away, there's a monestary

    05.jpg

    01-1.jpg

Here is a close detail shot

    02-1.jpg

That's all.  Maybe I'll show off Earth next time.  If you haven't seen the destruction of Florence in Crystal City, go there now!

I just read through the majority of this thread...its a very well told and great CJ!

I like the small details of the space port and the hangers are cool and unique aswell as the domes!

Great job with houses of the nobility..,.you can sure tell they are wealthy!

Also the latest update is very good....what type of cliff mod do you use...Peg's sandstone mod?

    Excellent CJ!

Cjah:  Thanks for visiting, Mr. Desctruction.  You got here at a good time when this baby is only 3 pages long.  The rock mod is PEG's Green Igneous, but I may change it to Limestone because it looks a hell of a lot better with the snow

    siso43:  Thank you

jacqulina:  Too bad we can't get snow in Paradise Falls.  You're a green girl though, so the white stuff isn't really your style.

Tonight I worked on the spaceport some more.  I had an idea that looked better in my head, took a long time, and isn't even the star of tonight's update.

Here is a nice view of the huge manufacturing hangar.

    01-2.jpg

But as you can see, there is something else.  Do you see it?  Here is a closer look

    03-2.jpg

That's a new BAT by 2ch.net Simplayer called the Aero Tube Express

It's a fantastic new transportation system for these planets.  My goal is for zero automobile traffic.  Most of the residents in this city live underground, and therefore nearly all of the transportation is down there too.  However, there needs to be some above-ground transport.  Here are some looks at the network.

    05-1.jpg

This landing area was also built tonight

    04-2.jpg

    06-1.jpg

    07.jpg

And here is the whole area

    02-2.jpg

And now for the first mosaic of this CJ.  Keep in mind it's not 100% finished, so the bare spots will be filled in for a more interesting mosaic later

Hey look! A tube! I wonder where this leads to...*peeks inside tube*

    Whooooooooahhhhhhhh

This new Aero-Tube Express sure is a touch to your world(s). You sure have an eye for picking out the latest Sci-fi BAT's, football, and I have an eye for poking into tubes.
