Wow...... you've once again, showed your SIMing skills of alien planet.....

Btw, from the picture of underwater community of Apilliani, my next BAT project is getting set - "Aquapolis"

It's something like Geofront, but on water.

bartonn:  Thanks, I didn't think anyone had done one like this either.

tomdapom:  Everyone has a little sci-fi in them.  I try to do things in a believable way.  Hope to see you again soon

homeandaway:  Keep at it and you'll be big and strong like me someday.  Wooo!

2ch.net simplayer:  Aquapolis...:*(  <--tears of joy.  You don't know how excited that makes me.  One of my original visions of Apiliani was for real buildings on the tiny islands, and underwater city in the water.  2ch....you're the man...

jacqulina:  The bad part is that I think I'm working slower and more cafefully than you do....that's slow...

Schulmanator:  bzzzzzZZZAAPPPP.  Gotcha.  No action here.  These planets will show up in Crystal city, and that's where they get their action.  This is the closest I'll get to a real CJ.

OOOOk....I don't really feel like explaining the pictures this time.  I'm tired and barely even wanted to work on sc4 today.  But 2ch had to release a half-arch version of the Geofront Arch from the last update.  That got me excited.  Check it out.

This is mostly a cargo area, but under the arches is a refueling area.  You'll see massive docks for solid, liquid, and gassious cargo ships.  You'll be able to tell which is which, I hope.  Take care.

man!! thats simply awesome!!! i find your cj really unique and interesting... making Updates from different planets... thats really cool! sorry for not commented last updates was busy in some RL situations...

Love your spaceport looks enormous and soo detailed and I like the way how you terraform all the places!

Will keep an eye to this!

btw about the tower I was planning was too difficult for me to export it (some export fails) thats because the building is extremely huge, so I have to divide it into pieces to export and will take some more time for it to be ready...

homeandaway:  That would look very strange in Seoul...and it would definitely blow some minds.  Make sure they're ready for it.

zelgadis:  I think mine could benefit from being a bit more cramped, but I don't want things to get too repetitive.  I don't think I can avoid repetition though, since that's how airports are.  Portalis is supposed to be the O' Hare of Star League, only "Chicago" is underneath the spaceport.

Cat fan:  Now that you mention it, there are almost nothing in here that's on the STEX.  Almost everything, including the underground hangars, the huge arches, the spaceships, the underground city (geofront), and many more are by 2ch.net Simplayer and can be found in his CJ.  The Dock equipment like the cargo cranes and oil refinery stuff is by SOMY.  And finally, the shiny pipes and water treatment things are by NOB, and are actually on the STEX.  Hope that helped.  If you need links, check the massively gigantic japanese BAT thread, or I can give them to you later.

Here is a great update for you all.  I haven't built any more of the spaceport, so here is the much talked about Gardens area of Crystal City.  Until lately I only had one section finished, but I recently sat down and finished them.  Hope you like.

First, the areas that you already know.  Including:

    The surface spaceport

    010.jpg

    and Gardens area 1

    012.jpg

    013.jpg

Mayan pyramids in Crystal City?  hmmmmmm.....

    011.jpg

    Here is the new stuff.

    Gardens Area 2

    007-3.jpg

    009-1.jpg

    006-3.jpg

    And Gardens Area 3

    005-3.jpg

    004-3.jpg

    002-4.jpg

    003-4.jpg

    001-4.jpg

And here is the whole area.

Could you post a link? Not for Nob's or Somy's, but for the ships and hangars? I don't want to go through hours of searching through massively gigantic Japanese BAT gallery.

Cat fan:  Already posted the link for you.  Come back soon

homeandaway:  No no, the gardens are supposed to make you feel better!  Eh..I suppose it's alright to be speechless...

Schulmanator:  Hmmm...I like that.  Maybe that's why it's snowy in Crystal City.  They're just that cool

Leech10:  I'm glad I can inspire spaceport reform in the rest of Star League...

2ch.net simplayer:  With you putting out amazing BATs...you're right.  haha

I debated releasing this in this CJ or just wait a couple updates and show it off in Crystal City.  Since I'm impatient, guess which one I chose?

Just don't be upset when I use some of the same pictures in Crystal City's story.

As you might know, the spaceport city of Portalis is on a planet called Kharrazian.  Since this isn't Star Wars, the spaceport doesn't cover the entire planet...just the city.  So what covers the rest of the planet?  I'm glad you asked...let's take a look

The area I worked on, and will be featured in the story, is the center of government.

    an aerial view

    010-1.jpg

this is the capitol building.  It's rather unimpressive, because even though Kharrazian is an important planet, it's still only a Class-B planet.

    002-5.jpg

This is another government building, and is considerably more modern

    001-5.jpg

This is the supreme court building.

    008-3.jpg

And the plaza between all three buildings

    007-4.jpg

Down the pathway to the right is the ancient center of government

    0063.jpg

The rest of the area is populated by some of the wealthiest citizens of the planet

    here is a huge house

    003-5.jpg

    another one by the waterfall

    009-2.jpg

This is the home to the planet's second oldest noble family

    005-4.jpg

Who is the oldest noble family?  There is a reason this is called Lake Lysyk

    011-1.jpg

The first and second oldest are ancient rivals, and have been neighbors for thousands of years

    012-1.jpg

And this is the whole area

    004-4.jpg

    See you next time

OMG, truly wonderful and and fabulous. I loved the space dock, in fact i love it all. I don't think I will build a space port, but those arches could be very useful indeed, I've already used the hangers for my airforce (update soon).

    Again fantastic work...

homeandaway:  So good it makes people sick?  That's...pretty good, I think....

Krio:  That's actually a BAT by 2ch.net Simplayer.  He's awesome.  Thanks for visiting

HabLeUrG:  Star Wars does inspire much scifi in me, but I don't know why all scifi has to be full of action and magic...here is a perfectly quiet countryside

Voulpiotis:  I'm not sure that building is on the STEX.  I got it from the LEX on Devotion.  It's called the Jordan Gallery if you're a member and want to look it up there.

seapost2w8:  Thank you.  Those waterfalls are called "free flowing stream" on the STEX.  It's very cool looking, but also very difficult to use.  Maybe I'll post a tutorial sometime.

Schulmanator:  You and me both, my friend.  The motto on the track team in college (throwers more specifically) was "Go Big or Go Home"

belfastuniguy:  It's alright, I don't think everyone has a use for a spaceport.  Let alone a spaceport that covers 6 large city tiles....

realdimension:  Thank you for the compliments and for visiting.

This isn't an actual update, since I didn't build anything new, but I experimented with some water mods.  I used Crystal Lagoon by PEG for everything, but the tropical look didn't quite fit Kharrazian, so I thought a new one was in order.

Here is a section with PEG's Brigatine water mod.

    3-1.jpg

    2-2.jpg

I don't really like how green it is, so I tried PEG's Windjammer water mod.

    3-2.jpg

    2-1.jpg

I also played with the color balance in the last picture.  I'm sticking with Windjammer for anything Kharrazian.  See you next time

It looks like Naboo! It has that feel of one of those great lost empires...umm...Atlantis! Yes, that's it. The waterfalls are amazing, as well. But where'd you get the green Brigantine (?) mod? It looked really nice with the second picture w/ the cliffs, but not so much with the scarlet castle on the water. I agree with your decision to change it, but I believe that green look to the water might add to Gotham's gritty look...
