Is there a transit-enabled island-platform station for heavy passenger rail? The ones I find are all doublesided...as opposed to ground light rail.

Just enter "train" into the STEX Exchange searchbox - that's how I found the lot of them. If only you could have more than one train set..

It isn't on Simtropolis anymore, but it can be found on SimPeg.com, Here, but of course you will have to register to download it, look in the "Simgoober's Store section for it. You can also find it at SC4devotion.com, which you will also need to register to use, and should be the most up to date version of the file.

I face a peculiar problem: until recently I played the US version of Rush Hour. Because the disks got scratched, I replaced them with a UK version, the only one I could find. Now my Sims all drive on the wrong side of the road, although I don't recall ever installing any left-handed drive plug-ins.

And along the same lines: are ther any texture mods that truly cover all railroad tracks with something sembling reality, including those that already exist? I tried various folks' stuff, and always find that while the street and road sidewalks look great, the railways always have ugly green sections showing SC4's original textures, making the entire city look like a bad mosaic.

Hello.

If someone could please tell me how/where I can get a 1x1 residential houses, like these:

I don't really care if they are nice-looking or not at the time being. However, if you know more eye-appealing set of 1x1 houses it would be also appreciated

Also, I have just installed the game about two days ago, and I came here looking for beginners guides which I found and I appreciate it. But it seems here around this forum theres a lot of add-ons and plug-ins that are convenient and most of the people has it, I for one, don't like to spoil the game with so much plug-ins and mods, so if anyone can post what is the most popular and convenient types of add-ons and mods that are most used by this community players and that doesn't ruin the game experience a lot it would be highly appreciated

That is easy. What you encircled are Maxis lots, already in your game, just zone 1x1's and let them grow.......that's it.

DocRorlach you can have more than one freight train cab/hopper/engine but only one 'original' so you can mix and match freight cabs/hoppers etc. Have a look for Trolca's train mod help thread thats where I found out what to do. i will try and find the link for it - it is on this site.

Thanks Mrb, but I've been zoning 1x1's for ever now and none of them grow a bit!

I even let the simulator run for over two game years and nothing happened, it's not that I don't have Res demand, as if I zoned a 2x1's the houses grow instantly!

I have downloaded the Duisburg Steel Mill but i am haveing trouble finding "Cargo docks materials.dat" it is a dependency file for the mill. The Millenium dome is by yoder7652 and comes in 4 versions - the one in the picture is the version for the BSC Park system so the base textures varies according to the one you choose. It is available at SC4Devotion LEX - link in my sig. You will need to register for the LEX and for the main site.
