Oh you comment junky!!! Let me ease your insatiable need...

It's been awhile since I've commented here (I have been in lurking mode for a few months...). Your still an extraordinary builder. A funny thing is that when I was gowing down the previous pages I saw you ask where to put the airport. When I saw on the region view where you put it I was surprised to see it was the exact spot I tought would be great.

Cowcorn - Thanks for giving into my obsessive behavior. 3.gif Hope to see you around more often! And it looks like we think alike too in the placement of the airport. 4.gif

Here is a little region view of Longmeadow. Notice all that northern development, that's Forest County! 4.gif Ponderosa is on the western coast there, north.

Just 2 comments away to page 16!!  35.gif

The City of Ponderosa Welcomes You!

    Ponderosa-Jan.jpg

Located west of the Highway 106 on the glorious Atlantic Ocean, the small city of Ponderosa is one of Longmeadow's most loved cities. With a beautiful downtown and spacious suburban living, Ponderosa acts as a getaway destination within the country. There are great places to shop, eat and hang out in this small city. Come by Aspenwall Beach for a swim as well!

    Downtown

    Ponderosa-Jan-1.jpg

There is a picture of downtown Ponderosa. St. Anthony's Parish dominates the downtown skyline. Great places to work and eat, nice fine dining!! 4.gif

    The Ponderosa Inn

Staying in Ponderosa? Come get a deluxe suite in the historic Ponderosa Inn. Many rooms are available for an affordable price! The historic building was built in 1856, and remains there until this day. It is a major building in downtown Ponderosa.

    Ponderosa Courthouse

    Ponderosa-Mar.jpg

Located on Valley Avenue, the Ponderosa Courthouse has been around since 1868 and is elaborately designed. Since Ponderosa is the seat of court in Forest County, this building is very important.

    St. Anthony's Parish

    Ponderosa-Feb.jpg

    Ponderosa-Feb-1.jpg

Ponderosa's St. Anthony's Parish is by far the most recognizable landmark in the city. The church is beautiful with its elaborate architecture and stain-glass windows. The steeple is the highest point in the city, and can be seen for miles down the stretch of Highway 106.

    2.  10:00-11:45

It almost looks like SF! Wow... and the people are probably more crazy about the environment.... there isnt any development near the water! lol...

    I want a beach front home 3.gif

anyway... it seems like i missed the other page 3.gif

I like the way you set up your train system and having the Industry in the middle of it! You know how they need it

I love the way the church seems to take over the skyline... it takes me back to the middle of the US to most places in Europe till recently... and fine dining! It has it all! lol

I love it how you give a backround on almost every building and landmark! It makes it alot more personal... and I wonder where you got that from 3.gif

btw Ill buy a room at the Inn! lol

    keep up the good work!

This update will be all about the suburbs of Ponderosa and what they offer!

As you can see, building style remains quite the same throughout the suburbs, as many of the homes were designed by the same designer. Also, notice how the city is shaped along the coast with sprawl from side to side! It's still very sparse in Ponderosa!

    Rural Hospital - Ponderosa

Rural Hospital is the "general hospital" in Ponderosa. The hospital is quite large, and located across the street from Ponderosa High and Quigley Elementary School. Rural can handle a good number of patients at a time.

    Hotel Area of Ponderosa

Here is the hotel area of Ponderosa. Travelers along Highway 106 utilize this lodging area while driving up and down Longmeadow Peninsula. Hotels include Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn, and Hampton Inn.

Are you pulling a Yuna on me? 3.gif Thanks a lot for all your words, and yes I have to agree that Ponderosa is one of those more older cities with the steeple capturing the view. I didn't get the personal background on every building from you, but nice try. 3.gif I've been doing it in all my CJs, even before Wood County. 2.gif And the cost of your room is $440 a night. Didn't say staying overnight in the city is cheap!!

You never cease to impress Mike. As an ST lurker back in 05 I remember looking at your Cabel Bay CJ (wow, that was almost 2 years ago), and thinking to myself--$*%&$%$!!!! Your CJ's have always been consistent in quality and is what keeps me coming back to see your cities these couple of years.
