Loving it so far, Al Ghobar is interesting for some reason. I just can't put my finger on it.

nihonkaranws:Thanks, those warehouses are made by simgoober from here https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=12859

    sEAhAwk fAn121:THanks!

Callbat:Thanks, well quite a lot of buildings are plopped mainly industry and commerical, but I try to grow residential, but only  I zone blocks of 5x5 or 5x4 to get the MEB stuff so I'm not sure whether it counts as its nearly plopping! 2.gif

panthersimcity4:Thanks! its a long one but a short update couldn't do the city justice 3.gif

CocaTertoka:Thanks, it takes longer for the additional effects but it looks better 2.gif

pilotdaryl:Thanks, but with those notoriously bad KHaledi drivers I'm not sure the sidewalk is too safe a place to be standing around!

    jacqulina:Thanks!

Nardo69:Thanks, not sure how much time I will get to BAT but it'd be good if you could send the photos anyway!

    Twenty20:Thanks for the reply

    allez l'om:Thanks!

Shingure:Thanks, I suppose it is more "different" with its location by the river 2.gif

    Simfan34:THanks 2.gif

bbfan02:Thanks, the night shots are much better since that night mod made by gizmo

Kim Sunwoo:Thanks, a recreation of Dubai sounds interesting,  I designed them  in blocks  like that to prevent  other building styles growing and runing the look of a middle east city, the only solution would be to make small eyecandy lots about 1x2 size to fill up those spaces.

Benedict:Thanks, I'll be sure toshow more of the rail at a later time 2.gif

The other cities look nice too. And i can see that someone used as many LBT buildings in a Arabian city as i do.

Nice work, love the use of the RHW. One question, where did you get those boats in the first picture of Salalah?

That region is AMAZING. I still can't get over all of those rice paddies, it looks so realistic.

I agree with Callbat, Salalah is awesome. 9.gif

Fantastic work on those cities. I especially liked Salalah, because the buildings are dull and lifeless, but the green trees give it a little energy. Your region shot is amazing, as I'm sure we've all come to expect from you.

Whoah, I'm not gonna read the entire thing but wow. From what I've seen in these few screenshots its safe to assume this is a spinoff of the United Arab Emirate. All of the stuff you have is incredible, its so real that I want to visit it!

    Just a short update:

    kdpcopy.jpg

While development came to a hiccup with the instability of the revolution it looks to be back on track for the time being with this new plan.

    KCCR.jpg

an updated shot of Khaled City, there has been a lot of growth here that has been absorbed from Al Ghobar.

    khaledriver1.jpg

    Old picture for comparison

note a few small changes such as the lack of Green square in the old picture which shows it was taken before the revolution 2.gif

    Replies:

nazaguy:Thanks, I love the LBT buildings as they usually fit in quite well 3.gif

nihonkaranws:Thanks, another Japanese BAT which if I remember is made by NOB, it shuld be on his website to download 2.gif

CarmineHilton:Thanks, glad you like it 3.gif

    Jazeera-Pransi:Thanks!

Callbat:Thanks, fair enough first thing in the morning 2.gif

jacqulina:Thanks, I just worked on a bunch of new areas today so the region is filling up...slowly3.gif

Shingure:Thanks for the comment, Khaled has only a small coast which makes for an interesting situation, there is a long history behind it but I'll save it for another update 2.gif

Simfan34:Thanks! even if you can't think of anything a comment is always nice to have 3.gif

panthersimcity4:Thanks! also one of my favourite towns, I wouldn't mind one of those nice riverside houses 3.gif

    kondrokavn:Thanks!

    Za:Thanks for the comment 4.gif

bbfan02:Thanks, glad you like the highways, the RHW opens up a lot of possibilities for a good highway network 2.gif

2nerdy4u: Thanks, these are mainly dull commuter towns so its appropriate in a way 3.gif but I agree about the greenery, makes the desert more interesting

vinvin du 13:Thanks, the trees are from Simcity4Devotion and made by Jeronij and the palms are made by Goldiva, I use them in combiation to get the wetlands effect, the port set is a Japanese bat and made by SOMY

    bokrif:Thanks!

Nemesis666:Thanks! glad you like it, some of the northern areas resemble parts of the UAE but the whole country is quite diverse and isn't based on a single country 5.gif

playernasirj:Thanks, you win the prize! yes I based it off howOmdurman and Khartoum are seperate cities but in the same area

    Giligone:Thanks for the comment 44.gif

    Benedict:Thanks!
