Wow, you're doing a great job with Khobar and Khaled. It's very typical of a large, sprawling Arabic city. The photo effect you're doing makes it look as if it's er, hot. 3.gif

Marvelous update! I really like the sprawl of the Middle Eastern housing in much of the empire.

Great update. Too bad the farms have to go; were those there since the beginning? I don't remember seeing them. Thanks for answering my previous question, I'll have to check it out sometime.

I see you also put those middle-east commercials up on the STEX too. What a great day!9.gif

I really like avenue system with the avenue roundabout in Khobar Centre!

And right on the first pic that old building on the small peninsula connected with a grey street to the avenue system is superb!

Nice Flyover. What I also like is the sharp line between the (new) highrises and the (old) small residentials ... the city builder line that IMHO will be shifted towards the residentials I assume ....

    Impressive desert map!

I like these small residentials at the Inner Ring Road and how bigger buildings just seem to break in their rows ...

Nice work with the ingame temple and thge minarett. I wish I could BAT - I can see all types of small, medium and large mosques here in Istanbul - and IMHO there is a big lack of BATs especially of the omnipresent small mosques that you can find literaly on every corner in areas with a islamic majority ...

Nice commercial area at the Sheikh Isa Road - and I do like that small road construction there - really nice detail!

I like how you showed the way you develop these residential areas.

And the story about the "unloyal" tribe is so true ... unfortunately not only related to these autocratic systems even though people have more possibilities to defense themselves in democratic systems

    Take care and make backups!

    Krio:Thanks for your comments 3.gif

    Yoman3: lol 2.gif

John94538:lol i'm sure its fine as long as you a building project isn't planned in your area.

    Glenni: Yes I agree 3.gif

Za:Thanks, there were some farms there previously and you can see them at the airport in the beginning, I expanded them for that update though.

    jayo:Thanks!

Shadow_Assassin:Thank, havent been there but I guess there are some similarities

    OrdinarySC4Fan:Thanks!

Mikeaut1:Thanks, the new NAM ha been a lifesaver with its roundabouts 3.gif

    suplado!:Thanks

Nardo69:Thanks, We'll have to see what happens but I expect that many of these inner city residentials might get replace by more modern things 15.gif

i think for my next addition to the Middle East Bats i'll make some mosques, i'm having to make do the house of worship but to have a real llife building would be much better. And i'm glad you liked the mini story, its true that area of the world is very tribal even today. I was talking to someone from Turkey a few days ago and even there in the more rural areas these lines are still quite strong.

    Ugh, I love you.

    Certainly one of the best.

Had to use inspiration from you to create my Islamic neighbourhood that I just updated on.

And what a brilliant source of inspiration!

I've only recently been more active here and I come back and see Kahled is flourishing (was afraid it had died).

Been cathching up and it all looks fantastic, the effort and time taken shows and it's a stunning middle eastern CJ. So good to come back and see this CJ 4.gif
