A good solid modder is extremely important.  NDEX collapsed because of a modder shortage, and I know that if I didn't have someone modding my stuff, my projects would take even longer than they do already! 1.gif  This is your NUMBER ONE priority.  Once you find (or make, if you can't recruit one), have that modder teach the BATers the basics, so that if worse comes to worse, the rest of the team can carry on.quote>

I can add jobs and TE but thats about it. where do you think i can find a Modder?

What does a logo do?  Does it BAT anything, or modd anything?  No, it doesn't.  But it can provide a more professional image, and it can create some team identity, and it can show that your team is united.quote>

yea i just want things to look more proffesional, im trying to find ways to make NEBB more of a team and not just ppl BATting under the same name and cause.

But logos can also be very easily seen as something childish.  I don't know about you, but when I was in Elementary School, every week a group of people would make a club, and then make logos and mottos, and passwords, and assign who was the president, and co president and vice co president and generals, and all of this other stuff.  Most teams that start up reminds me of Elementary School.  Remember that the focus is recreating landmarks from your region.quote>

haha no in elementary school clubs we just talked about pokemon lol. The logo, again, is to make things more proffesional.

If you'd like, I can help you guys design a logo.quote>

Sure that would be really helpful thanks for anything you can come up with

When it comes down to it, why do you need a team room?  The only reason you want a team room is for "status" and to make yourself feel official by having extra bureaucracy.  All of those things you listed can be done (and have been done) in this thread just fine.quote>

okay most of it is for status9.gif but i would like the team a bit more orginized

First off, NEBB does not have almost 180,000 downloads, it has about 16,500. quote>

o sorry i must of messed up counting(i did use a calculator i used my dumb head)

And even if NEBB was the 5th biggest group on Simtropolisquote>

    whered i say that?

Remember your ultimate goals are to have fun BATing, let other people have fun playing with your creations, creating the extra joy that everyone has seeing something from their city in SC4quote>

hey my favorite thing about BATting is seeing my creations in other ppls cities, but ill agree, i was a little greedy for status.

You could BAT those windowframes to the building? It could look better, because it would give more "deepness" than texture only.

To be honest, I don't really know how to find a modder.  The ones that are around are generally already busy.  I guess what I would recommend is finding someone from the Boston area who would like to modd, seems to have the ability for it, and seems to be committed, and then finding an established modder and having the modder teach the new person for you.

For the logo, what kind of a logo did you have in mind?

For your BAT, yeah, I agree with Krio, modeling the window frames would make it look much better.  They will be hard to model, because of the curves, but I think that you can do it, and I think that it would be worth it.  So far the building is looking good.

About modelling the windows, I was thinking of writing a tutorial showing how to model them quickly from the building itself. That way there are no useless or unwanted polys.

111 looks good so far, maybe try a brighter texture (your gonna have the same sorta decision with glass as me)

if you want you can try my cloudy texture

on Hancok i know all about all the antennas and i have got some great pics for it

but at the moment i don't feel like doing it but it should be done soon

Then all there is nite lites and some smaller details around the base if i can get a good pic

then any small things you guys think

Krio-yep thats what i plan to do!

    Oh my Friking God!!!

You've decided to take a second chance with that tower??!

    Good for you!

Haven't been on Simtropolis for quite a time now and this is one of the best possible sights I could have wished for!

As for the texture for the glass... well I'm not a fan of the cloud motif... looks plain wrong... there could never be clouds reflected from this viewing angle!!

Patriots, about bat4max, I don't have it but I am experimenting with 60 State Street...by texture baking, that is...I should be able to bake the window textures then add them to the model in Gmax when finished. That should yield a similar result.

    wow u are a workaholic.

its nice the only thing i dislike is theres four lines that are a darker gray and seem to stand out more. just thought id point it out because it was really bugging me. i boxed them in to show you.

and i did the little tiara for 111.

    untitledkd2.jpg

I can't wait for 115 wintrop square... it's set to start in 2009, and south station tower is slated for groundbreaking by the end of the year.

for a good reference for any building, present, or future, check www.archboston.com good reference and great threats on ALL boston projects, even the little ones.

my favorite project right now is Fan pier in South Boston, they have it on that site. Also, Filene's in downtown crossing is building a 35 story tower on it. it's gonna look good in that area with the Ritz towers.

if thats a zoom 5 render then you need to zoom in using the mouse wheel to get it to the zoom5 size

because when previews complete i find they're zoomed out a bit

The roof looks really good though

WOW 111 looks great, im not to familiar with it but it might be a bit "glowy"

it looks a bit short, do you increase the height of your buildings to counter SC4's isometric view which makes things seem shorter

    on my stuff

Hancok- 2 weeks tops just nitelites and litle bits

Lincoln - on a diff computer so in 2 weeks at the earliest

    financial ???????

Lincoln will need a lot because i cant make it reach the edge if a lot without screwing up the sizes
