    no prob josef ;D

    I wantes to make something else now. though I won't stop batting on the other two projects. but I wanted to do something higher and different.

    so I decided to start the

    parkinn Hotel in Berlin

    (after the TeleisionTower the highest building in former east Berlin and a casino in the uppest floor (the highest located casino in europe))

    41 floors and an height of about 130m (about 400 feet I guess?)

    however. my bat will be a bit higher because of the perspective in the game.. makes the buildings always smaller and fatter.

    and what I've got that far

    What is the adjustment you use? And do you use it from get go or plan to scale building at the end?

    I think it looks to thin already... way too thin/too tall. With the entire hight of 125/132m for complete structure including the base and width of 50+ hight should be just about 2,5 times the width. Adjusting hight is a common practice, but I think it should be done with moderation or things get out of hand and start look very unrealistic.

    Keep the good work!!

    I'm really eagerly awaiting your Potsdamerplatz building! Have you thought of doing Sony Center or DB tower?

    hmm the DB Tower yes.. but the sony center with the roof might be too complicated ^^

    and yes. I'll rescale the building in the end. I just wanna have the tower done before I do the base and then I'll see how far bigger it must be.

    the first pics I've posted aren't actual even anymore. I made the thing lower and fatter yet. however

    I hope for you future help when I'll start with the base ;D

    If the tower you positing here is not yet rescaled then I'm afraid you shouldn't really do anything about it, maybe even scale it down a bit...

    I really hope you'll concentrate on those wonderful midrises of Berlin! But, of course you could anhd should explore your options!

    I would say there is nothing wrong in doing several projects at the time. In my mind the most important here is a personal growth and advancement!

    I was going to make my own bat-theard, but after this I got sad and I won't make it. Snif snif. You bat-beast.

    But that Park Inn-sign is funny - it's font and colouring is the same as Finnish supermarket-chain Euromarket.

    I've been following your thread with interest, and looking forward to seeing the buildings in my cities. Especially Park Inn, and the Potsdamer Platz (?) Buildings are a must have :-)

    @krio: lol I'm sorry ;D thanks though

    @jacqulina: thank you very much

    @stephenhh: hehe. dankö^^ Deine Hamburg BATs sind wirklich genial^^ wir brauchen mehr sone Sachen für SC4...

    after problems with gmax I had to re-do the top. but I tried to make it the best way to do it the same.

    one floor of the 3-floor-base is done in the basics.

    (that floor is fantasy I should add. in reality it looks so.. boring)

    It's looking fantastic Andi. I mean, that is just REALLY cool. The only thing that is bugging me the least is the rainbow underscore on the sign. Could you make it blue? That would fit better with the building.

    @krio: lol. no need to beg 2.gif I'll upload it for sure when it's done.

    You're doing some great work here. Personally, I really like the look of that midrise at the top of the page. It looks like it could be a government building. Also, the details you've done to the lower Park Inn roof are tip top. About the only thing that I can see, and this is quibbling a bit, is the two tables on the roof. They're huge! Look at their size compared to the tennis courts and the store fronts. I think you should scale them down significantly and instead of two have several.

    Thanx, I stayed in that hotel a few years ago, before the name change. Must have been around this time of year, coz the view over Berlin was limited to what could be seen through the falling snow. Did I metion I really like your bats, yeah I probably did :-)

    Looks great so far. I love the reflections in the windows of the first floor. I would suggest (and you might be planning it) adding some tall fencing around the tennis area, as well as a bench or something. It would really look perfect. Can't wait to see the next update, thanks for sharing!
