Update 4:

The steel company has added a dock for unloading ore and loading the finished product on and off ships.

Industry is taking advantage of available locations along the river. Vernon has began to see a lot of interest from developers.

Update 5:

Office parks are springing up to accommodate the increasing demand. This one is on the west side of town and features two large lagoons.

Memorial Park provides a quiet get-away for families to play tennis, basketball or just have a picnic.

In keeping with the regions desire to minimize sprawl, high-rise condo's and apartments like these are encouraged, and give new arrivals and young families cost effective space to live in.

Update 6:

Southport is located just south of Port Royal and has been primarily a farming community, but has been transitioning to a commercial center. It has a 3 berth shipping terminal and a sizable distribution complex.

Update 7:

Vernon sits just across Broad River from downtown Port Royal and features fertile bottom land where most of the town lays, and slowly rises up on terraces into the surrounding hills and mountains.

The main highway from Port Royal come in at the upper left. The town is on the verge of some significant growth when the new shipping terminal is built just to the south of town.

Vernon has nice neighborhoods and good municipal services.

Port Royal is real proud of it's new airport. It will be interesting to see how it develops as the region grows and prospers.

I've been using Firefox browser for quite a long time and have not had any formatting problems (that I know of), but for some reason this lates cj has had some pictures end up side by side. They all looked fine to me until my friend alerted me and I viewed them in IE. I think they are fixed now. Please feel completely free to hit me on the head if there are any unusual looking posts.

Quick update to give you a look at some new docks. These will be used extensively at the new port complex being planned across the bay.

Update 10:

Construction of the new inter-region highway system is beginning it's way across Port Royal. Two legs of the system will be intersecting here and will greatly enhance the movement of people and goods.

This section is partially sunken as it weeds it's way through a commercial area.
