INTRO:
  This is my second City Journal here on Simtropolis, my first CJ was Center City. In this cj I hope to improve my cj making skills,  a big inspiration to finnaly create this cj was 
Nyhaven: An Engineer's View. The storyline was also inspired by it....although this will have more characters, and will also be interactive, the readers get to decide & vote on  some propositions laws,ect;ect;ect. If you have any ideas or suggestions please pm me. 

UPDATE:
 This is an old postcard dating back aroud the year 35. This scene dipicts an old, 
mainly under-developed  New Haven, The current year is around 195.

Looking good so far. Doesn't look to underdeveloped to me! haha. One thing, it would definitely help on the realism factor to turn off the "U-Drive it" bubbles. Otherwise a good start. Looking forward to what this place will look like when its 'developed'. :-D

Giligone: lol, yeah...when i first started taking pics i forgot how to turn those off, and then i started zoning up, so this is the only pic from back when i just started expaning the city

Wow, Nice start for your 2nd CJ! I can never reach that population right now without using grid patterns. I've only done 'bout 350K on one mid size city. My PC can't handle it without me loosing the quality of the game. I don't want that. Well, I look forward to this CJ! Nice Downtown area, I like the layout of the highways and oh, good luck to your bid at the December Simlympics!

Not To Worry....I will respond to your replies, i'm just kinda busy right now, although i bring you the new haven report (newspaper). i can't find a free photoeditor...(yes i have irfranview but it doesen't do much).....so yeah, i made it with paint..(lol)

Shwmae! Always good to see another Welshies work It's coming along really well. Try and consolidate all your tall buildings in one area to give your city a more defined skyline. Other than that, well done! =D

Ok.....sorry i haven't given an you an actual update yet, i'm just swamped with school right now, its the end of the marking period and I have tests, also I'm just about finished with the (9th grade exploratory program, now i get to choose a technical program (i'm going into Drafting & Design Technology) and i'm don't have much spare time right now, and i'm having some issues with my friends and girlfriend.........

              

    -don't mean to bore you with this

anyway, There will be more updates! 

although, I bring you a small teaser, the next update will take you around the capitol and New Haven Penninsula 

A major update is in progress....

I just need a break from working on the olympic city, reworking the capitol, trying to develop a story line........too many things at one time lol. So i went to one of my other projects, which I am including with new haven .....I bring you the Crystal Coast Keys...

Off The Coast of New Haven (The Crystal Coast) are a chain of islands, They are one of NH's main tourist attractions, these islands also consist of experimental man-made floating cities, The island you see now is the largest Oil Rig in the world, owned by Velacosma Associates....

Velacosma leases out these smaller buildings to other companys, they can also lease out seaports  

This is an overview of the oil rig, the tall  grey-ish towers are oil driling eqipment and the containers are for holding and processing the oil

well this CJ is coming along nicely!! I see some SOMY ships in there very nice!! my only word of advice would be to up the size of the pics so they are either 800x600 or the 640x480 i think it is, they will look much better!! keep up the great work!!

Nice futuristic stuff!  I always like the Velascoma building.  Does it slow down your PC at all?  I've been wondering about that.  My computer is a bit old now and I'm not sure if it could handle it.

Hey jersey ,maybe i can help , xapped.com will give you 1gb of free space to host anything you want ,youtube,snapdrive,mega file, the is many places depending on the file type, lol i had the same prob trying to embed my video , thing is even if you could embed the player the film still goto be hosted offsite , prolly best not to embed the player anyway if the video file size is large , some peeps wouldnt be able to open the cj ,until it had loaded the movie,prolly not as effectivwe as embedded but ,easyier on ie browsers if you was to give a link to the file instead, it is possible to embed a flash on a simtrop page ,but the procedure isnt the norm html coding.Good luck with the video cant wait to see it !
