commanderkai:  We serve any legal food and/or drink.  We have a fully automated telepathic, telekinetic service system.  You only have to express a desire to get it.  Aliens welcome.

defcon pilot: Food service completes.  Our new root beer is from Virginia.  Like it?

Leech10:  I hope you enjoyed your pizza feast.

homeandaway:  As envisioned.  Was it buttered?  You didn't say, but I am sure the autosystem sensed your need.

Greetings Moose, and fellow patrons of the Moose Factory,

    Kia Ora, Gidday, Howzithanging?

I have found my way to Simtrop! - and who should I find but my dearest and newest, finest fauna four footed friend, the Moose - (albiet of the last week or so 9.gif ).

Well I have finally plucked up the courage to wander over from SC.com - I am a bit new to SC and the esteemed and aforementioned fauna has been most helpful to guide, correct and even poke some fun .... but then I suggest that you skip over an take a look at the recent posts on the BBS to get the full picture... 17.gif

My my, this is an awfully big lake compared to SC.com, hope that big bad puddy cat isn't around here, - took a while to find you guys, - is this is the last booth in the factory ? - mind if I squeeze in?

... and someone better tell me the rules quick - like what's this 2 post rule thingy? - cos I don't want to be chargrilled on my debut visit - I prefer my steak medium rare.

Anyway, BTW, what's to eat? Do you guys do a good chilli?

We are heading for winter in our part of the world - The Northen Hemiphere has taken all the hot air ....

PS: Is there a faster way to get to the last booth of this factory?

I will also gladly take Cheese89's offer.  4.gif  For me, root beer gives me a buzz.  Good times.  3.gif

My girlfriend might have mono . . . . we'll find out within the week.  I hope she doesn't, because we have a semi-formal dance to go to on Saturday.

    *Passes root beer around bar*

    A generous offer Cheese89!

abcvs: Welcome to Simtropolis and welome to the Moose Factory! You can order anything you can imagine and the autosystem will make it, though I like to serve it personally. By the way, N_O_Body is the host here and I am co-host. The 2-Post Rule requires there to be two posts after yours before you can post again. It helps prevent spamming. Don't worry, you won't get in trouble as you are new here. ST is a very big pond indeed, but you will soon find that the water is clear.

hym: Nice to see you here again!

ryanb_sc4: I hope your girlfriend isn't sick. I have a semi-formal dance coming up too. I've asked everyone I know if they would go with me as a friend, but they all said no...8.gif

Well thank you my friend - mighty kind of you, never had a root beer before - what's it like?  Is it something like butter beer from the Hogs Head in Hogsmeade?  Had one there once - great stuff.

BTW - I walked into a bar (not "the factory" of course) the other day and I saw a sign "No strings allowed."  Just as fate  would have it at that very moment a piece of string walked in.  The barman growled rather curtly - "No strings allowed".  Taken aback, the piece of string walked out....   later on the piece of string came back for a second try ...  Same response "Hey you! - no strings allowed!"  At this everyone sitting around the bar were beginning to feel quite uncomfortable and felt quite sorry for the poor piece of string, made to feel like an outcast.  At which point, I slipped out quietly after the fast dissappearing piece of string. I then quickly caught up with the piece of string and suggested that he unravel his fibres a bit at one end and then artfully twist himself in to a sylish knot.  "Never know it might help" I offered.  I then descreetly made my way back to the bar.   Sure enough a short time later the same piece of string walked in ...  this time, with the suggested changes made.  The barman frowned, stopped polishing his glasses and then said somewhat hesitantly - "Your'e not that piece of string again are you?"  To which the piece of string replied  - "Nope - I'm afraid not."

K,  so I have now posted twice - what do I do now - huh huh?  If I post again will fire fall from heaven?  Will GWB learn to speak properly?  What? What?  I need to know - will I be banished hence forth down to the cellar to lug crates of root beer....? Oh the anx!  Please someone, anyone, help!

Edit: Phew! thanks Nerd_Guy, you can not imagine the relief to find several posts after my last...  That cellar was looking quite cold and damp..

Edit Edit:  K - I couldn't stand it any longer so I resorted to the RL standby - Google and then good old Wiki... right ... - got it , back to the factory - root bear is a cousin of ginger beer, of which we have several varieties down here in Kiwiland. So therefore with no further standoffishness I cordially accept 89's kind offer and ....      wait....   well ,well, not bad at all!  Why didn't someone tell me about this elixr of sobriety and temperance sooner ...  and as a kind gesture to all you nice folks making me feel so welcome, I would like to buy you all a round of L&P, (AKA - Lemon and Paeroa)  - world famous in NZ.  Originally made with lemon (Doh!) and naturally efferesent mineral water found in a small town named Paeroa,  (pronounce - pie roarwer) 2 hours drive south from Auckland.  Ah the wonders of broadband - the drinks have arrived! *passes around bottles* - Enjoy!  Let me know what you think.

    1-9640_L_and_P_Bottle.jpg

Edit Edit Edit: I have been looking back through the posts - two post rule thingy I can handle - but is there a word limit on these things?

ryan:  Sorry to hear that.  I hope she doesn't, especially because that is a tough one to get over and it can literally take months to fully recover.

Nerd_Guy:  It is good to be back.  Too much school of late. 15.gif  Fortunately, it's coming to a close in a few weeks. 4.gif  And then it's off to study engineering courses in college. 9.gif

abcvs:  Welcome to Simtropolis!  Hope you enjoy your time here, and you picked a good place to hang out on the site for socialization. 44.gif  In answer to your question about the length of posts, there really isn't a limit to the length of your posts.  It's pretty much how much you're willing to type, and whether the people around you want to read that much.

abcvs:  Welcome aboard, Craig.  I see you made it into our harbour.  The two post rule says you can't answer until there are two posts after your last one (unless you edit your own most recent one).  The servitor here is an automatic system equipped with a telepathic sensor and telekinetic delivery system.  If you think about what you would like to eat or drink, it arrives.  We don't bother with those waiter thingies.  Ah!  Gread sympathy for poor homeandaway.  Enjoy the angst.

Cheese89:  Around here we harness huskies to a sled and drive them over the ice floes.  Congrats on your choice of school.  We hope our real brewed root beer isn't to strong for a freshman.

Hym:  Welcome back.  Haven't seen you in quite a while.  What would you like with your root beer?

ryan_sc4:  I really hope that the two of you don't have mono.  It will wreck your next school year.

I see my co-host, Nerd_guy has looked after everyone.

homeandaway:  Here's a hanky.  Bartenders are good listeners, so go ahead.  Was it the Face on the Bar Room Floor?

Brad_MacD:  now that is the darnedest hang-over cure I have ever heard of.  enjoy?  Please do not throw up on the floor, use the brass cuspidor, plese.

    abcvs:  Mine's good, thanks. 9.gif

NOBody:  Yeah, it's been a long while.  Well, fortunately, the school year is showing signs of letting up.  There's still some intense stuff left, but it's nearing the end. 9.gif  And with my root beer, I think I could go for another root beer. 3.gif

Homeandaway: You got the issues we got the tissues.

Brad: Eeyew! each to their own. The mop is down in the cellar.

Hym: Glad you liked it - scuse me but gotta fly the kiwi flag a bit.

    Nerd_guy: Dude.

Y'all, thanks for the well-wishes.  Christina (that's her name) had a Monospot blood test done this (Wednesday) morning.  We won't know until the results come back.  Anyone have any idea how long that might take?

I really hope it's not mono . . . . our three-month anniversary also happens to be Saturday.

Homeandaway: better out than in mate.

Hey guys, I have set up a space on live.com - only just started this it evening, still a work in progress, not much there yet, but please feel free to take a look and tell me what you think. Any suggestions would be welcome. Please go easy I have never done anything like this before.... must be getting a bit more adventurous.

    http://abcvs.spaces.live.com

Edit: I have now put up  some screen shots of my yet to be built on,  "Hauraki Region" based on the real life Auckland NZ, Region.  You will notice evidence of the violent volcanic past that has shaped Auckland over the last few thousand years. Please take a look and leave a comment if you wish. Best viewed on full view.

Moose: You may be interested in Pemberly, a 9 year old city based on your outstanding farm formula. It was founded in "medium" but has a universal tax of 7%.

I am just about off to bed, but can I please pre-order a take out for lunch at work for tomorrow?

Ummm... lets see - one foot long hotdog with onions, cheese, mustard and tomato sauce on a seseme seed bun.

    And to drink a Macciato.

*Moves to a booth near the back and noisily wheels in the clinic privacy screens (one of the wheels squeaks badly) and the metallic clink of instruments can clearly be heard*

The Moose Factory Medical Clinic is now open
Current Funding level - slider on white line - §100 per month.
    Patient Capicity - 3/10.
Patient confidentiality is assured at all times.

(Have you ever noticed in a shared hospital room that even when the staff pull the curtains that the rest of the people in the room can still hear exactly what is going on?)

Brad: Here's the advils (had to Google - right, ibuprofen, got it, I don't adminiser anything unless I know what it is and does)  - please take 2 now and call me in the morning.  I recommend taking them with water BTW.

Alex: - Sleep tight buddy - better lay of the cheese sandwiches for a bit - (no offence to cheese89) - maybe try marmite and chip instead - (crisps or whatever the brits call them).
     - Oh, BTW would you please pick up all those tissues off the floor before you go - and don't forget to wash your hands when you are done.

Ryan: All the best for the test.

Have all of you in the Southern Hemisphere how had your winter flu shots?

Anyone at the factory is welcome to adjust the clinic's funding slider - but be warned! - there may be consequences if you do.

*Pokes head from behind the screens - holding an enourmous syringe in one hand (gloved of course) and a bar tray in the other*

jacqulina:  Here's the coffee and toast - some how it got sent down here by mistake - the autoserver must be playing up.  Haven't seen Nerd_guy for a bit - maybe that was the problem...

20K+ posts? My goodness I have a ways to go to match that - I'm only on 7 so far...

Edit 29/4 (4/29!) 2230: Wow! I have just spent the last 2 hours checking out Paradise Falls - and I am only up to page 21...  Words do not do justice...

Alex:  Sorry mate, just found your cup of tea down here too (cold) - will have to wait for Moose - there seems to be a few glitches with the autogiverouttaserverwhatitcalledthingy -

(Sorry Moose - I know how you like to get terminology correct.)

    - don't worry I'll see if I can get another you another one - English Breakfast - my dear old thing? - one lump or two?  I am happy to discharge you from the clinic for now, but please do not hesitate to visit again if you feel the need. Nice job on the tissue clean up BTW.

    The Moose Factory Clinic

    Capicity - 2/10 Funding §100/m

Edit:  BTW - does anyone know how the status changes under the username?  I know that I am still a bit new and all, but I will have a serious neurosis if it stays on "stranger" for much longer.  But then is there not a saying - "Every great friend was once a complete stranger?"
