A lovely set of mosaics there, and such an unusual building in the first one, the brown one....very unique.

This CJ is awesome!!!!!

Aaah, so the boulevard must become an avenue. Whenever I have something like that come up, I usually have to demolish half my city, including most residential areas: Pop: 10,000 Com: 8,000, after revision, usually Pop: 7500 Com: 5,000! Still, it looks good without change. As long as there isn't too much traffic along it.

heh, mosaics galore!

i like your plans for the interchange. i also like how you used the Kobe Soccer Stadium; looks like some of those lucky office workers can watch the game for free!

a nice mixture of old and new buildings, nice work!

So I guess I should get working on all this feedback, lol.

Godzillaman Haha, yes, I did realize that would likely have to happen. Glad you like the new Cairn.

    jacqulina Thank you.

    vivydu29 Thanks!

lurker91 Thank you, I didn't want there to be many tall buildings in Cairn... its too small. Those buildings can be found @ www.capitalsimcity.com. The site is in spanish but you can translate it with the google page translator (google.com  >> language tools)

    GreekMan Thank you. 4.gif

    manticorefan Thanks!

panthersimcity4 Thank you. Yea, I really wanted to make sure the night pics were good so I only used buildings that had good night lighting, haha.

Interchange The brown building can be found at www.sc4devotion.com and the other buildings can be found at capital simcity (see my reply to lurker91).

    gabry85 Thank you!

Simfan34 Lol, I don't think its for sale... glad you liked the update.

bbfan02 Thanks! I hope it works out well, haha. I haven't started it yet....

IDS2 Oooo, the building! I didn't know what it was called, haha. Yes, good to rid the maxis crap from the core.

algis242 Thanks, mmm, well, I'll see... **grumbles under his breath** hahaha, thanks for your comments.

    Ubi79 I think lurker91 answered this question.

068664663 What kind of interchange are you thinking of? A cloverleaf?

luker91 Thanks, lol, I had no idea where I got it.

    Benedict Thank you.

kj3400 Thanks. I was just planning on using the normal interchange... not really any room for much more.

LegoMyDego28 Thanks! I'm so glad you like it that much.

Minister of Silly Walks Love the name btw. haha. Thanks for stopping by, I'm glad you like my CJ.

Meow Yer Ded Thanks. I tried giving the map away once... it ended in failure... So I guess I don't know how to send it, lol.

Ubi79 Thanks! Yea, Suplado! likes the mosaics too. I really like his CJ 9.gif

pipishere Thanks. It really is a bit odd... the side is particularly strange...

bokrif Oh, lol. I see what you mean. You can just go back through old updates, it hasn't changed at all since then... lol. Me and my laziness....

Joetropian1 Thanks! Lol, it can be quite tricky trying to widen roads in built up areas. I think I'll be ok in this case.

Dsrwhat316 Indeed, I like mosaics, haha. Thanks for your nice remarks.

    anarchy0029 Thanks. and Thanks.

seemurray2 Thanks alot. I'm a big fan of mosaics, Its pretty much all I do now. lol.

Hello all, As you can see there has not been an update for a little while. To be honest, I've really just run out of ideas on stuff to do in Nemonos... Call it Planners Block, lol. So I don't know how much longer I can keep this CJ running at the level of quality we've all come to expect here, myself included. And I really have no desire to spit out a bunch of crappy boring updates just to say I'm still here, I don't think you want that either.

So lets here it, what are your thoughts?

On a side note, I've been kicking around an idea for a couple weeks now and it seems like a good idea to air it. I know at least one person who has expressed interest in acquiring my city files. So it got me thinking, what if someone(s) were to take over this CJ, take it in their own direction, do whatever they want. Anyway, its just an idea, any interested parties?

Take your time with the updates, wait until an idea just pops to your head, I'm sure you'll think of something. I haven't updated my journal very much lately, mainly due to RLS, but because of lack of ideas.

And no, don't give anyone your CJ, you're too good. We don't want anyone else running Nemonos 3.gif

Here's a thought: why not just start a tile and just sort of be random with it. As you go along, you might find it starting to be something. When it assumes some sort of identity, polish it off. Then, it can be the nucleus of your nextset of updates. Sometimes I will just do that.... see what pops up and then run with it when I figure out what it wants to be.

But, don't franchise out your CJ!

Yeah, don't be afraid to start something new if your running out of idea's... i'm surprised theres any space left to build in Nemonos anyway 18.gif

It'll always be here if you feel the need to update, untill then, stretch your creative mind a little, start a new themed CJ and put Nemonos on hiatus 2.gif

Why don't you think of a storyline to go along with Nemonos? Or if you don't want to do that you could just start a new CJ and connect it to this one somehow. I don't know, maybe say the people of Nemonos wanted to explore the other side of your lake. Just don't give up such a great CJ if you don't have to.

as i suggested some time ago. some disasters in nemonos would make things interesting. something like a blast of oil refinery, or some fire, or something like that ^^

Burro, if Giligone leave hsi CJ, why don1t you take over? 9.gif Maybe a communist takeover and a Gloroius Revolution can take Nemonos to a way different and new direction!

Anyway I hope Nemonos won't die out. It is sooo good.

It would be a tough blow to see Nemonos come to an end.  On the other hand, there's nothing worse than burning out before you stop doing something- it always shows.  There's never been the faintest hint of that in your work to date, my friend.  Maybe just an official hiatus- I've done that from time to time and always find myself sneaking back before the time planned with some new idea or direction to head off in.

If you turn Nemonos over to someone, I think it's like hotdogs said- it won't be Nemonos any more.

If you want to have something a little different to do while you take a break, let me know.  I'm full of suggestions (hint, hint).

    David

Why not start a disaster in your cities? It would sure make this CJ real interesting and be sure to have a back up copy of your region.

    Oooh, a few ideas.

Create a totally random city: Experiment with transportation and buildings you don't often use, try a new techniqe.

Build a huge area of ruins along another area of the region, make a new newspaper showing the ruins, and make a small town near it for "excavation purposes."

Base a newer set of cities for your next update.

Nice update, bad problem. Crap, planner's block, eh? I knew it was coming soon. No offense, this is the best, most realistic cj I have seen but the theme is generic. You do it well, however. I wouldn't franchise out this cj, only to people who want to experiment (I would explore the region but I don't know what else I would do.) You have encountered the problem I have many times now...First with Crossrivers, which had too many skyscrapers and was an eyesore, than that region with a V which I don't want to try to spell...it was better, but still too generic. It was like a cruddy version of Nemonos.

I have found a solution, though. I am working on a region now called Calioshire. I have almost all of the metro area built up, and it is a lot like Nemonos. However, I have introduced farms to the region. I think you should try it, they take up space and look nice. I also spread around small towns and a Wal-Mart or two...hehe just kidding about the WalMart. But I seriously think you should try farms. They just might be the answer.

If all else fails, think of a theme...like a region I have called Pachuca, themed like the Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately, it was WAAAY too bumpy and impossible to build on without 500 foot lot foundations. I would suggest getting a new terrain mod, like the desert or Missouri Breaks (the one I have) and start playuing with terraforming. That's what I'm doing in Calioshire, and I have included waterfalls and mountains and ridges and mountaintop lakes and the like. Throw in a few hiking trails and creeks with boulders and wildflowers and suddenly the region looks alive...

So, don't read everything I just typed, but consider some of your options, and take some time to practice terraforming. Flat land with suburbal sprawl only lasts so long before you have to quit. I like the way you focus on details, you'll definitely help yourself.
