I've had some problems with my computer to, unfortunately, but now it seems to be working fine...

A funny thing to do is to save the image of an error message box and paste it in the middle of the image that a friend of yours is using as his desktop backround.

Then set this new image of yours as his background again, and watch him go crazy trying to make the error box disappear!

I've never tried it yet, but I will as soon as I have a chance to.

Has anyone ever done that?

Some random stuffs tried :

- change all windows sounds ( especially the click sounds, adding 3 or 4 seconds of blank sound before the click can be heard, very distubing )

- there is on the net a windows screensaver that fully emulate a blue screen of death with reboot and scan disk, very funny

- invert two keys on the keyboard, choose two not so used keys you know the guy have to look where there are

- take a screenshot of the desktop of someone, with the icons and so, put it as his desktop background, remove all real icons from his desktop and watch the guy clicking the false ones , very very funny

Om my, I'm happy I haven't had 1 frezze, automatic shutdown, errors, adn all that stuff. Although, I've had sevral shutdowns due to low battery. But at least I haven't had that virus, and errors, freezing, and shutdowns for 2 1/2 monthes on my laptop!

I have this error messege come up every time I try to play sim city 4 rush hourItsannoying, it comes up when i press play on the start menu. when i press play, a few seconds later a fully black screen comes up. It minimizes and an error comes up saying "The configuration file (graphics Rules.sgr) cannot be parsed. Using built-in rules." how do I get my screen not to be black every time i play simcity 4, and to not make that error messege come up??? (it said warning on the bar and if you click ok the screen come back up black and you hear the ea games intro and the simcity intro come up but with no pictures T.T) WARNING it didnt do that before simscity 4 rush hour was installed! someone please help.... the picture was fine and I could hear sound on the orignal simcity 4...

I wanted to get rid of the intro sequence to Monopoly Tycoon, but the program doesn't know what to do when it can't find the clips...so..it crashes, and the error message is the result

This is historical, so I don't have a picture.  We had a document handler in a bank where I worked that executed an HCF command (Halt and Catch Fire).  Fired the freon fire protection system and we had to evacuate the room in about 30 seconds.  Freon, while not poisonous, does not support oxygen dependent life.

Yeah, but I wasn't using IE Tab there.

My guess is the admin at that site copied that page to display as his error page, and simply didn't figure on someone coming there using a browser other than IE...

I once got this weird error when toying with a Windows 98 machine a few years ago. I have a pic somewhere but I can't find it, so i'll type it:

"Cannot copy [filename] - The file exists"

Not kidding here, these are the exact words of the error, except for the [filename] part. To this day I haven't figured out what windows was trying to tell me.
