Another excellent newspaper! Bass, Drum, Viola, and Trombone fish? Rhythm? Ahhh, you tried to get me there, but no, I figured it out! A jazz band reference won't get past me. 3.gif Keep the good work coming!

Abcvs Wringing hands and sterred up?? Perhaps some premium Atkiniros catnip will sooth your jangled nerves???

[WE INTERRUPT THIS REPLY FOR A SPECIAL BULLETIN: Use catnip in moderation only. Be responsible and keep purring!]

Jacqulina Thanks! Admiral Hestorb is already working hard to restrain her catnip impulses. She will plan on swapping that for a regular supply of chicken hearts ' livers Fancy Feast.

Csgcseri Always glad to have you back! Yep, version 2.0 will be out in October. And, glad you like Schulmericho.

Fallon144 Fear not! There's still plenty of excitement going on here!

KingTitan King, I mean Ken, Titan! You are back!! Check in the page 50's - you have a house in Georgetown to visit!

dralin321 Yes! The scandal is all true!

Leech10 Sooner or later, someone was gonna succumb to the alluring aroma of Atkiniros catnip. I never suspected it would be her!

Jrhnemo I know! Hestorb has a lot of explaining to do.

Abcvs PLEASE tell me you don't have plush enemas! PLEASE!!

Hester Let's all wish the Admiral godspeed on her recovery!

Bakercity Cool! Glad to know the rumor mill cranked out the truth again!

Zelgadis Catnip is legal in Schulmania. But, diverting funds to stockpile it is gonna get a hissing session from the Supreme Wirdle FOR SURE!

John94538 Let's hope she can get back on her paws and lead the explorers, lest she be deposed and end her reign in ignominy.

Mr. Beer Admiral Hestorb prefers to be called "ample" or perhaps "voluptuous" or maybe even "Rubenesque". She'll even accept "queen size". But, big and fat?? She says most of that is fur fluff - not her. She swears!

Csgcseri Thanks! Admiral Hestorb is getting the help she needs. Soon, she will be back to downing Fancy Feast and looking at birds out of the window, with an occasional work break.

suplado! I know! Can you believe such a thing?!

KingTitan When should we be over to see your slides??

Rahjan Princess Katherine uses her catnip in moderation. It's perfectly OK to use in Schulmania. But, the Admiral is the first purr-son to use it to excess. Now, she will be a role model to encourage others to use catnip responsibly.

SCkid Thanks for coming by. And, welcome to Schulmania! Please do come again.

DioAngel Thanks! I am eager to hear about your new solo career!

Explodingsims We must all wish Hestorb well as she continues her road to recovery. Soon, with luck, the tempting aroma of chicken hearts 'n livers will sooth her more than the aroma of catnip.

Abcvs Catnip, in the right paws, is sorta like the fine wine of Schulmania. After all, cats don't like wine! But, one must always be responsible!

ky72x Doh! You figured me out! Of course, the largemouth bass had to be thrown back - it was out of tuna! [insert groan here]

Devonshire: Schulmericho - In & Out

Schulmericho. The first planned walled town in Schulmania. Wanda and Buss had been fortified ages ago, but no town had ever been planned as fortified, until now. There are several entrance points into the city. There are four gates: one at each cardinal direction. The west gate leads to a walled passage to the ferry port. This is as much security as Schulmericho can possibly have. But, it does not end there. Plans call for a watch tower to be built on a high point overlooking the World Ocean, so that anything approaching by sea will be spotted as quickly as possible. Let's see what they have developed for security thus far.

Our first stop is the ferry port. Towers flank the actual port and walls run along the street from the port to the town. The western gate separates the town from the port area.

    f1pn8.jpg

The fortified ferry port. The lead architectural firm for walls and towers was fined 50,000 schulmonetas - a record - for failing to be more slope compliant during construction.

    f13vf5.jpg

The port passage is walled on both sides and gated at the main city entrance.

Watch towers flank the port, offering added security.

    f4ng8.jpg

    f5jl7.jpg

Large towers loom over the port - a sight never seen before in Schulmania.

The passage to the town itself, known as "The Passage" (How creative!) is walled on both sides. The Passage is mostly commercial, but there are a few residences tossed in as well. Most residences have been converted to hotel space, due to the heavy port traffic. One can make a lot of schulmonetas in Schulmericho!

    The Passage, sea side

The Passage, land side, with western city gates.

The western gate, from the port through The Passage into town. Known as the Gate of the Ocean, this gate (shown above as well) features twin corner towers as well as a crenellated central tower. It doesn't get more secure than this, folks!

    f21kf5.jpg

The gate, shown at far left, anchors the town walls, shown running north (up) in this image.

    gatef1ur4.jpg

Gate of the Ocean, as seen from the opposite angle- approaching town. This is definitely a formidable defense, especially since the threat foreseen was in a vision and not an actual threat.

At the east, a gate sits diametrically opposite the Gate of the Ocean. The eastern gate, known as the Gate of the Gardens, as it leads to the fertile hinterland, anchors the town's eastern perimeter wall.

A view of the gate from inside the town.

    gatee2jh8.jpg

The eastern gate from outside the town.

At the south, the Gate of the Moon centered the town's walls. The gate provided direct access to the heart of town, even though there are no settlements of any sort south of Schulmericho.

    gates2cq3.jpg

This gate was less heavily fortified, since there are no settlements south of Schulmericho.

    gates3dv7.jpg

Engineers are still working on slope tolerance in their designs.

The northeastern gate is different for two reasons. One, it does not open onto one of the city's main axes - rather, it is near the city's corner. Also, it leads from the outside down a short lane, Cataçao Court, which is flanked by Blackpaw Plaza and Butterpaw Plaza.

    gatene1rv3.jpg

The gate, known as the Gate of Whiskers, is flanked by two strong square towers.

    gatene3ap5.jpg

From the outside, the northeastern gate anchors the creekside flank of town.

    gatene4ao0.jpg

The gate opens into a quarter of Narrow Style buildings (Dutch style) and provides access to the marketplace on the other side of Blackpaw Plaza.

    gatene5aw3.jpg

Cataçao Court is a scenic entry for those approaching from the Lake George area.

Next up, the commercial center of Schulmericho.

AND I QUOTE >>> "Only a few houses separate Ken Titan and Old Man Fledder. Behind the homes stretch open fields and woodlands. Wildlife abounds in the serene surroundings. Although, when the old man's two precocious granddaughters came to visit him once, the surroundings were not quite so scenic."

THATS funny...when did my name change to KEN??? LOL Also....I have you moved into PARAGON....you control an Island where you head up all military efforts and training..... Stay tuned to an update this weekend..

Took me a while to find my house though....Simtropolis.com doesn't have a Page Jump. 15.gif They need one.

I love the progress you have made over the last year...awesome stuff friend. 4.gif

Just skimmed through the update, it looks very nice! I'll have to read the full update in its entirety later. I've just been so busy lately, I haven't had time for ST or SC4. Well, I've got a dance to get ready for. Bye! =)
