@parotti:

To post images with your posts, see this thread --> Link

@Schutze:

It seems to me Briali has used the SFBT Passenger Car sidings and SFBT Freight Car sidings (LEX links, registration required). Be sure to get all the dependencies, though. It's well worth it.

The roundhouse can be found here (German site).

When it comes to the depots I would like to know where to find them myself. 2.gif

Aha, thanks heitomat.

Any other sheds/depots you could find? I've been looking all over the place, and could only find two. D:

@Schutze: I don't know which two you've found, but at the STEX a quick search only revealed the Victorian Rail Depot by Ill Tonkso and Frogface's Train Depot.

Here are some pictures from Staunton, the largest city of my region at the moment.

Staunton Central Station

Just west of the Central Station: Central Yard.

Finally, from the port area of Staunton, Portsmouth docks. The freight terminal can be seen in the upper right corner.

@Heitomat & Schutze:

I found the depots at a korean website (http://cafe.naver.com/sc4labs). For some reason google's translator tool doesn't work with it. And I don't know Korean particularly good.

To get to the exchange, press on "BAT-C" to the left. If I remember correctly the depots are named "Train Set" or something similar. You'll just have to browse the site, I'm afraid.

I hope it helped you!

EDIT: I just remembered that I already have give the direct links in the "Can't find it" thread. Here it is

The site is quite difficult to navigate as it is in Korean, so here's the direct links

part one, part two

There's also a lot of other goodies there. But it's entirely in Korean, and not all the downloads are pictured.

Hope it helped!

@zahrul3: Thank you. I like your shots as well, especially the last one where the rail crosses the highway. It's nice to see lights in the windows of the rail cars.

A modest piece of advice: You may want to build the rail overpass using the NAM On-slope puzzle pieces, though. Then you'd get a perfectly level overpass, given the elevation is right.

@Biriali: Thanks for the links. I'm having a hard time unpacking the files, though.. Did you use WinRAR (or similar), and did the archives unpack just fine? I think the symbols that replaces the Korean letters make my WinRAR confused.. 42.gif

---

EDIT: I think I got it. At least I managed to unpack the archives.. 2.gif

@heitomat: I like what you did! The tracks follow logic, and the surrounding fits! Good work! 44.gif

@zahrul3: Your REALLY should click my sig and have a look in my "Thoughts" to learn why that railway overpass should be Off Limits to any real railway lover ... 27.gif

@servan: I guess for US railway lines that design would fit (haven't been in the USA yet) but seeing the length of the passenger trains you might rethink that level crossing ...

Wow, awesome! Has anyone seen or heard of a Mod for the red and white paint of the 1970s and 80s SOO LINE railroad for SC4?

@zahrul3: It would be even better if you

  • left the highway / avenue in the trench
  • used the onlsope pieces to let the RR pass the sunken RR/avenue
  • used the smooth curves and avoided some of the unnecessary sharp curves

@Mayorm: Nice railyard with the Maxis-RR! 1.gif

@Nardo69: Great pictures! I love how the rail cuts through the rural areas. Did you lot the rail catenaries yourself? Looks like each catenary is placed on a transit enabled rail piece, unlike the default lots by SFBT which are placed alongside the rail.

@heitomat: No - the catenaries are part of a begun catenay mod. Unfortunately it never left beta state - mostr probably never will. But Kenworth who created the catenaries is working on another one. Give him some time, he made some nice advance.

@awake_78: They are from SimFox Tree Pack #2. They are Mayor Mode Trees and can be plopped almost everywhere.

Nothing special.

Just a scene from my childhood created in Sc4

c3ec0cb2d71626da5dc68bbb61a32df5.jpg

  Telegraph lines along railway lines a rare to see these days as well as semaphores. And except some rare nostalgic trains the giant fire dragons are gone, collecting dust or rusting untill they become what they were: red dust. 15.gif

  Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust.

  Childhood's gone for good. Except in Sc4... 2.gif

Love it, Nardo. I also like using embankments for heavy rail and El rail. It's much more realistic I think. Plus, it doesn't interfere with other surface networks. I hate grade crossings.
