I think this game could give some ideas, there isnt much screenshots of it on webso I took some of my own 2.gif

The game is Ground Control II Operation Exodus

Forget about the city being destroyed, but the houses itself are pretty good.

Hi guys, I got a couple of ideas for things but i'm no good at BATting. I've designed my items and created projections for them in a CAD program. is there anyway i can e-mail them to a BATter for them to create? also how do i upload my pics to the forum?

    You can use imageshack.us to host your pics, then when you create a message click "add image" and enter the URL in the first tab.

    Do you know if we have many BATters still with us and interested in batting designs? I think the black hole collections (Shmail's?) would look pretty good in SimMars, they are industrial looking, fairly simple, no big windows and good colours. just need to change the base textures and it will be sorted

    would make a fine addition to simmars on the transportation level.

    How about Somy's giant consolidated hospital?

    Wish i could help out in this project someway, but all i'm good at is reccomending lots, playing the game and testing it around with various mods and downloads and the only program i have ever used was the lot editor..

    yeh same here, i'm pretty good at CAD modelling but thats about it! and suggestions etc.  I have a job for you if you're interested? It's just some simple lot editing...

    And somy's hospital is a bit too big and the bus to subway wouldn't suit as peds dont walk around the streets like in sc4, but the parking lots would fit nicely

    I guess i could give it a try so sure i'll see what i can do. Hopefully though i won't mess up lol.

    Aside from Somy's work there are also other japanese BATs that could possibly fit up there on mars, though i can't remember which ones are they.

    Anyways here are some pics of what i can do with the simmars beta 2 mod so far with a help from a  few bats mostly from Somy. and 2ch.net.simplayer.

    woah that is ace! where do you get the tube trains from? they suite simmars so well!  i was just thinking we could take a look at existing lots and retexture them with martian textures? you up for that?

    Could consider his Integriculture Subterannean farms for the agricultural sections.

    Most of his stuff is perfect for the futuristic setting you guys want to place on simmars too bad those tube trains are eyecandy lol. but i guess that can always change.

    Still trying to figure out what to use the arch domes for... hmm..

    I'll get back to this later on, time for sleep lol, it's 4am and i have class at 9am later on.

    I'm getting in touch with the folks that contributed to BETA 2 to see if they are up for some more.

    You can upload your designs here in this thread so someone can BAT it, I'm free to do stuff as well.

    Upload the pics on imageshack.us first (I recommend registering so you access your My Pics site, free registration) and then post here (in New Message pop-up window select "Add Image" and enter link in first tab). If you have pics larger than 800x600 either post the link only or make a thumbnail of it (add link in first tab as before but insert .th between end of file name and the .jpg extension, ie for picture http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/1166/test.jpg it would be http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/1166/test.th.jpg This will create the thumbnail picture only. Now on the 2nd tab enter the normal link of the pic. This created the link where the thumbnail will lead to.

    Show me some stuff, I feel like BATing, 9.gif

    The tubes look awesome, 2ch posted them in the tranist thread once. Too bad he's away ATM. Would love to have them functional..

    Why not BAT another arcology for the rewards, i noticed that currently it has the plymouth arcology. Why not BAT the darco arcology and that could function somewhat as an advanced research center? It could fit rather well since you have free time 9.gif

    Right now I'm messing with NOB's BAT's in the lot editor to come up with a new water pump station and another water treatment plant to place in the city.

    But I need to ask what are you guys planning to replace the airports and seaports with? Just curious

    I'm new at BATing, so itll probably be awhile before you see any results from me, but I already have a few concepts in my head.

    Now for the SimMars Military bases, I thought that the Starfox Arwing and Landmaster Tank would fit perfectly, with a few color changes

    This gives me some ideas for an airport replacement:

    I'm a sci-fi nut, so I've got all kinds of building designs going on in my head that will fit the Utilitarian design. What I noticed most in SimMars was the lack of variety in industrial and commercial lots, so I'll be focusing on those for the most part. Again, I'm new at BATing so it might be awhile before I actually get anything done 3.gif

    I fell in love with that immediatly, I'm speechless.

    If you or someone could BAT that, maybe along with some planes I'm sure it could be added into the game.

    Although a more "currentish" airport is needed, eg one that doesn't look so good, temporary, one that could be set up reasonably quickly and early on in humans-on-Mars timeline. If you understand all my giberish.

    Having the Starfox vehicles would be cool, a nice reference to a great Sci-Fi series.

    Dunno much about creating/replacing automatas so can't be of much help on that one unfortunately.

    btw edit your first post, the 2 pictures are taking the forum out of the screen - an admin can lock the post.

    either put the lot editor image below it or delete it, it's not so useful anyway

    That looks pretty good! specially for a first BAT! only thing I'd say is to make the warehouse building look a bit more weathered / dirty looking as its only c$

    Also the warehouse probably doesnt need that gap at the back - makes it look like it's open which can't be much good for the employees!

    I like It though! if you can change those couple of little things it will look very good! have you tested it much in-game yet?

    New pics. I have a bug with opacity. Solar panel on the tower ( 2 sided shader doesn't works)

    And on the pic below, there is a crapy aliasing (render with high quality), i don't undersatnd.

    I'm testing it. BAT is to large, i must resize it to 3x4.  After playing and learning how grow bat in SimMars, it should be better to convert it in a CS$$ plopable.

    You're right for dirty texture and the gap. I'm gonna change these few things.

    I have test this lot in game, but it isn't for the moment a plopable C$. I will test it when i'll retake little bugs.

    Hi guys.

    I'm french, so excuse my english talking.

    I' fall in love with SC4 and this fantastic MOD.

    It's my fisrt BAT, and i must retake 2 or 3 thing on it. (texture bug, night window don't work IG and hight rez export)

    I will work on custom prop (like solar pannel for LOT) and parcs. Becaus when i 've tryed the BETA2, i think there is nothing for marsian people except one little parc ^^

    Wow, looks awesome with SimMars! (That is SimMars right?) In fact, the warehouse does look like a barn that I would see driving up the I-5 in the San Juaquin Valley.

    it looks really good, i wish my bats looked that good. To me it looks like it might be some kind of farm, with that greenhouse. The warehouse looks like the dairy barns I live near so thats probably why
