I haven't been able to follow your CJ, because my other laptop died. I backed up my SC4 region, and I await the return of my machine. A few components (repair folks seem to think the motherboard went) are being replaced (LCD, motherboard, and another part) so the machine will practically be new.

I've read back a couple of pages, and I don't appeared to have missed much, and what I missed looks great. Keep it up.19.gif

    This is a test reply...
I have tried to fix my replies per page back to the old Simtropolis 4.0 30.
But when I do, I still can't get all my page headers and pictures in place.
One of the main features of this CJ was every page began with a picture of Edmonton to give people from around the world a feel for the real city.

I don't know why they would take a site that was running great and do this to it.
I will continue to work on Edmonton over the next few years.
I don't know if Simtropolis will be part of the project.

    EDIT :
I tried doing an update that I have been saving for a week for my 1000th post. Waiting for the site to get its forums in order. But when I try to attach photos or files or fix the views per page or anything else I get errors and road blocks. It may be one of many updates to come or my last.

Have patience, TJD. Soon, Edmonton won't even be on the forums. According to Dirk, you'll get something similar to a blog type thing.

It does suck that the page headers are out of order, but I have no idea why they would do that. My posts/ topic is set to the same amount as it was pre-Simtrop 5.0

Oh don't worry. I'm sure the bugs with this upgrade will be sorted out soon enough. It would be a shame to lose your city journal from this site. I know the frustration though. Why tamper with something that is working so well. When I hit reply to this message my computer tried to go get something from Microsoft Office 2000. When it found it wasn't in my CD rom it go mad but after hitting cancel several times I managed to get to this reply screen.

I was actually up in Edmonton last week for the first time (I'm from Halifax but I'm living in Calgary right now). Saw the throne speech at the leg, stayed at the Fantasyland Hotel with the girl friend and did a day trip to Elk Island. Being an Atlantic Canadian I find Alberta's definition of island as silly as my Alberta girl friend finds Atlantic Canada's definition of mountain face-icon-small-smile.gif Anyway, Edmonton seemed like a neat little city. Very tree lined in the downtown core (Calgary is bald in comparison) and a lot more hilly than I was expecting. It is a bit of challenge to navigate by car though for the out of towner. One way streets, strange roundabouts and few river crossings kept us jumping. Those electrified buses seemed like a really odd thing too. Not quite a bus but not quite a street car. It also seemed like there is a larger industrial base than there is here in Calgary. All and all though it seems like a decent place.

I have to say that this cj is really amazing, so much details and it is so realistic. I looked with google earth and all streets, roads, are at the same place as in real. (sorry for my bad English)

Wow, this city is incredible.  I am trying to make a realistic city but you are copying a city.  My hat goes off to you.  This is awesome.  I have no words to say how incredible this looks.  I can't wait to see more.

Thats right, electric busses. Actually in today's Edmonton Journal there was an article about the future of Mass Transit in Edmonton. High Speed Express lanes for the Busses, and extended LRT system that will hopefully link Sherwood Park sooner than later, along with Fort Saskatchewan (as it was originally intended), Spruce Grove and St. Albert. Well the LRT links are my eventual hope, but they are workin on a ring road at the moment. And more hybrid types of busses rather than diesel. Sherwood Park already has 'coach' type busses for the communters into Edmonton and the University Students 3.gif

Jersey, hope you and your family survived the big snowfall! and look forward to a post soon!
