tried the moolah code......didn't work ;(

Have you install the Extra Cheats Plugin file correctly ?

Remember, all .DLL files must be located in the Plugins file without any sub-directory.

I have a question that I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with.

I've recently installed the Lot Editor/Plugin Manager and have 1) edited a few lots of buildings I've installed in my game in Lot editor and 2) used props I've installed to create my own custom commercial lot, using the block for the small patch of grass. When I tested it in-game, the buildings I edited on Lot Editor were not edited in-game, and the commercial lot I designed showed up as a park (which I expected to happen, since I used a park block to build it). So I went to Lot editor to try to fix them.

Only one of the lots that I edited showed up in the Descriptors area. The other ones are in the Lots area, but I cannot figure out how to edit those. Is there a way to move them from Lots to Descriptors so I can used their modified form in the game?

I just can't find where to change the population number to a building I'm doing, Anyone know how to do it? Right clicking just appears "What is this".

It's "Capacity satisfied". In your case you see two value pairs because you are making an R§§ building. The number 32 to the right is the regular R§§ capacity, the number 56 to the left is the capacity when the building has dilapated to R§. Just left-click on the line, and you should be able to edit both values.

I've downloaded and installed a few plugins, but one of them seemed to have an adverse effect on my in game buildings. When I deleted the plugins from the SimCity 4 Plugins folder, the plugins are still showing up in the game.

How can I delete the plugins so that they no longer show up in the game?

Thanks!

If by still showing up in game you are referring to items that have grown or been plopped that did not disappear, that is normal. When you remove the files, the game still holds all the information in your games savefile about what was in a city. So if the props/textures etc used on a lot are to be found elsewhere in your plugins, it will look like they are still installed, if they aren't you'll see those lovely Maxis present box things.

On the other hand, if you mean the items are still in menus and the like, then you simply have not removed them correctly, you'll have to scour your plugins folder until you can find all the items and remove them manually. There is no quick fix here, proper plugin management is a drag, but a necessary evil if you want to be able to move things in/out at will. Bear in mind how interconnected all these files become, sooner or later you need to have a system for this.

Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by original, these is and was only one Maxis PIM to my understanding. What is it you want to edit exactly? The Maxis tools are pretty basic, if you want to edit all properties you may need to resort to non-Maxis tools to do so. SC4 Tools is a very user friendly program which every serious modder should have, however, iLives Reader application is the quickest and most flexible way to do anything, it's just not all that easy to get going with it.

I am working on fixing my farm lots on the STEX. I need to figure out how to assign the new Farm Field to the new farm. Problem is the sc4 plugin manager will only let me choose the ingame maxis farm field lots. I even tried to find a way to do this using the ilive reader. Can some one please point me in the right direction or explain to me how to accomplish this. I just can't seem to remember how to do this. Thank you.

I can not use the pimx it refuses to run on either of my pcs

I hear this argument a lot. However, it's been shown to work fine with Windows XP through Windows 10 systems. If it's not working, either you are missing the .dll files needed to run it or there is some other problem. For example, you might need to run the application as an administrator. Otherwise verify you have all the required .dll files installed (they may need to be in the PIM-X installation directory to work). Check this post for more details.

Other than that all I can say is that farms, like all industrial lots, don't work quite like the R/C lots. You have a system of whereby a farm will grow, but the field attached to it can be chosen randomly. Perhaps this post helps you to understand it all, otherwise I'd consider sending a PM to @FrankU as he knows a lot about how farms work.
