I don't have a problem making automata, but i was wondering if anybody could make a pack of every airplane reskin mod that adds all the planes into the game and not replace anything.I do want three of the airplane reskins to replace the 707 and 767.

Example:Srainy's a-380 replaces the 707, the KLM royal dutch airlines replaces the 767, and the Air France 737 replaces the sabreliner bizjet and the rest just adds to the game.

               I hope I explained this well.

For me it's very clear, but I'm not making automa files, so I have the same request.

Can there be some airplane packs with the explainations which plane replaces which plane.

I would like to see also more planes with colors or themes like as in the srainy collection.

Really love this collection!!!

So srainy if you read this, love your work and I'm hoping for more planes in the srainy collection on the STEX

Hey there! I'm Actually trying to make my bus Models into automata that will work ingame but have no idea how to do this. I've tried the Tutorials in Vester_DK's Google Notebook but the link to download the script for gmax was a deadlink 15.gif. Is there any new page where I can get it from? and is there an other tutorial somewhere outthere which describes modding Automata step by step? I could not find even a single one

Hi all

Now I know how to reskin automa planes, but can someone tell me how to change automa (dat.files) into prop files?

Is there a tutorail which explains how to reskin ploppable planes?

I would like to create an airport parking for planes, some tarmac lots with planes on it.

Hope someone can explain me

What if I put into a file two differents skins with the the same ID. Will a skin be chosen randomly? If so, will the choice be made at every automata spawning or just once for game session?

Ok, I need help fixing someone's elevated train mod. I am trying to use the Line 5 EMU elevated train replacer by Srainy from SimCity China. However, the engine of the train is not always the correct one; sometimes, the Maxis engine shows up in-game, but always with the right cars. I have tried numerous things to fix this over the past ~3 hours. I tried renaming the folder and files to use Western characters. I moved the folder of the mod to the Program Files SC4 Plugins directory instead of the Documents one. I renamed the folder to have its name start with zzzzzzz_. I moved the included "front patch" file into the same folder as the engine and carriage files. I went into reader and changed the exemplar name of the engine DAT file to match the Maxis one. The IIDs are already the same. I generated a new instance ID for the S3D file, then changed the model resource key to match that new ID in the engine's exemplar. I also changed the "front patch" to have the same name as the maxis subway train exemplar. It appears that the front patch (Google translate name) changes the model of the subway train, while the front/engine DAT changes the elevated train engine. Here is the file; it's the first attachment on the post. I just don't understand how the replacer can have the same IID and name as the Maxis train engine, as well as be further down in the load order, and still not always replace the Maxis one. Please, someone help me with this. I'm naturally rather desperate to get this fixed after all this time I've wasted trying to do it myself.

I'm curious; is it possible to change the orientation of an automata, say, to make it face backwards? I've read some people complaining about certain tram engine models facing backwards when they aren't supposed to, and wondered if this "error" could be made use of. I also seem to recall seeing freight engine automata facing backwards, but that may have actually had the model designed that way. Any feedback would be appreciated.
