How can one make a prop into an active automata?

So I have been building and such finally got a population up to 300K (WOO HOO) but I have a problem. In my trading menu I noticed that I have alot of negative tokens, how do I fix this? Also, my industries all of them are going bankrupt. Any tips?

Yes I got the trade menu working, I was going through the icons, and tehre was nothing, but now I am going through the XL. As for the Folders, yup it works!

In response, for number 1, I open my trade panel, and there is nothing there... as for the cheating, may give it a whirl lol so you just download them and than what? Also, can you place the things you download in a seperate folder much like we could do with Sim City? Hi! So, I bought Cities XL on the weekend, and I have alot of questions. By holding off on mass transit I am able to get my population up and rocking until it reaches 150,000 when there is massive traffic and manufacturing problems. Generally I figured out that unless if you have atleast 50,000$ coming in on your budget not to get the busses. Problem #1 When playing on the plains, I find that I have a very low fuel reserve. Now on a current map, I have 0 Fuel, and my industries are looking for it like mad and will not expand without them, so, how do you get it? I built an airport (which ended up putting me more in debt) and there is still no trade option. Was it surpressed when they took it off the World mode? Problem #2 How the heck do you build bridges, looked at the tutorials and well there is nothing there anymore... Problem #3 I am finding it harder and harder to find jobs for my different levels of people. IE Unskilled/Skilled/Execs/Elite. What sort of jobs does each prosper at? Problem #4 Megastructures... where do I find them? At the same token, where can if you can, create your own maps etc... or find them. I think that is it for now, anyone able to provide me with any insight on this game will be forever my new BFF. Thanks!

Nam or not, if you are trying to build a centralized downtown core or not, you must limit their choices especially at the beginning. Start out with buses, (forget about Subway, Ferries etc) have an extensive bus network downtown, or have your subway lines collide with a centralized bus stop with adequate limits (I suggest searching Bus Stop on the Google search engine for the site and than choosing from there) I have a couple with 5000 limit which are overused as is in my game. Balance it out, on either side of the subway station in a four way pattern (One on the North, South, East, West) have a bus stop and a road leading out from there with the Subway Station in the middle, you can either do this by using a pedestrian mall, or having a one way roadway for the buses. Than as the game progresses, look at where your traffic is coming from, if it is a long distance, than you may want to look into expanding your system, whether it be by sub, rail(REALLY GOOD FOR INTER-CITY Transit), ferry etc... With the Majorityof my Medium Sized Area's I have Six Subway lines with Six Seperate stations where they land, all of which have Four 5000 Capacity Bus Stops. Or you can use something like the HOV Lanes going into the downtown core. Just some pointers I do.
