Hmm, just thought of something... that probably a lot of people would love to have: Diagonal Walkways ^^

And in theory it wouldnt be to hard to bat eather, just use one of your existing models and but it to size. I tryed doing this with walls however and struck several problems, most severe were that one could easly make out where the peices connected, but then a month or two later a tutorial showed p somewhere on ST, i think the sollution was to increase the size of lods surrounding the bats, or making the bat itself larger then the LOD.

Anyway, this would most likley only need one pece, a 1x1square cut of through the diagonal forming a triangle, when several of these would be added together they would make an full section of diagonal walkways.

Just a thought if you do want something to do ^^

A decent entry piece is definatly needed. A little overhang or something along those lines

    Also, just a techincal thought of the base-peices, if you do remove some of the roofjunk, compile all models of the same typ(but different roofjunks) into a propfamily(with the prevew enabled and zoom5 enabled) and make a propfamily, that means we only have to place one lot, but they will differ slightly from one and another, killing repetition ^^

    Love the conteporary designs, since it fits so well with what most airports today look like, Id sugest you then move on to things like rased walkways from parking lots(over roads and other infrastructure) Parking Garages(Like the one at Stockholm Arlanda International Airport, its a large circular concreete garage, i think it would fit well with the style of your pieces and help break up the squareness of the game), Maybe some bated Airport fire services, New Aircraft fuel depot, since the one we have in the current pack, well, kinds sucks bigtime ^^

    This is sweet! The large terminal is just what I've always dreamed of building in my international airport (and haven't built in yet because nothing of this sort existed yet). I am wondering, though, are you thinking of making any new planes for this pack as props? I've always wanted and needed colourful international planes like those around the international airports.

    This is a great addition for anyone who loves there airports and we know theres alot of people out there who do.

    In my past work in Edmonton I have completed the City Center airport. But I can see I'll be going threw it again to take it a step further.

    I'm anxious to get these lots into my CJ to make it even all the more real.

    i've downloaded the airport pack, but it ain't working right, firts of all, the buildings keep showing a no transportation zot, wich means the buildings get dilapidated. and the concourse end won'nt show up in the game

    Great with the releace, now we may rejoice, and you can have some rest... but not entierly yet 2.gif

    You need to update the Zip-file on the STEX with an .sc4desc file for the end councource model/lot, since it isnt showing for anyone. i tried making my own, but loteditor is crashin on me :/ anyway, greatly done, now to actually do someting creative 2.gif

    This pack is looking great! Just to clarify, the terminal entrance piece is the only one that's airport-enabled, right?

    Also, speaking from experience, make sure you make a backup of any developed cities you decide to build a custom airport in. I can still remember what happened with the last set of terminals I downloaded...

    Great work Ace! Just remember to let folks know both volumes of RMIP-2 are dependencies (Vol. 1 for the building cohort & Vol. 2 for ground textures).

    None of the pieces are airport-enabled Fischbob. I'm partly to blame for that, so don't come down on ace too hard. We both decided to leave our Lots eye candy for now due to continuing issues with airport modding. Airports are not ordinary transit-switch points with trip capacities (like train & bus stations); they were designed by Maxis as upgradable reward Lots, with multiple controller files which are not yet fully understood.

    Yes, you're right! RMIP-2 is a dependancy...thx volt. I would be skinned alive if I crashed someone's CJ2.gif.

    Odd. My game crashes everytime I try to use the airport. I'll come back here in probably tomorrow to tell you if I have made any progress to solve this problem. I know it has to be another plugin. Possibly Jeorg's airport, perhaps?

    xiziz - sounds good, I was already planning a prop family for the double jetways, but your idea sounds good.I'll see if I can fiind out how to do prop-famailies...1.gif.

    DragonAnime - No, new planes aren't on my list......they're probably really hard to do with textures and all2.gif.

    natuurzoon - That was fixed in update No. 2

    xiziz - That was fixed in update No. 1

    Micah -  That was fixed in update No. 3, make sure you have RMIP-2 vol.1 & 2. If you still encounter the problem. PM me about it.

    There will be overhanging versions too, so i wont have to make seperate TE lots for rail, road, street, etc.19.gif

    These lots are only eye-candy, With some modifications put onto them, just like any ordinary landmark bat. so it woudlt be this pack. It could be SWAP if you have an early version of it(the readme should say that its v2.3). If you have Joergs or Thallasicus Packs installed ontop of SWAP you will have problems, since SWAP inclueds these. you also need to have RMIP's from Volitare.

    So to get this pack working you need:

    ACE Modular Airport Base Pack

     -Dependancy, RMIP 2 Small Airport Edition Vol 1

     -Dependancy, RMIP 2 Small Airport Edition Vol 2

     -Supported but not needed: SWAP SimWings Airport Pack But unlike the title on the stex(that says v22) the version is actually v2.3, the readme in the zip will confirm this.

    And you should not have Joergs Airport Pack v1.3(or prior) because these are included in SWAP. Neather should you have Thallasicus BETA update of Joergs pack.

    if your game is still crashing, try to rename your pluginsfolder and only have the 4 packs mentioned above installed and se if it still crashes, just to iron out that there arnt any problems with conflicts between the four packs.

    Most probably, the crashes occur because of a conflict with something else, or some other bat alltogheter, or just simply beacause SC4 is very unstable of nature and dose like to crash to desktop...

    Edit: You beat me to post Ace 2.gif Thats a really nice looking walkway, I was probably among the first to download you new update, ive already begun planning the 1960 expansion of Evarin Airport, the adding of Terminal 2 & 3, and Runway 2.

    When are you back from summer vacation, as summer holidays are different everywhere in the world, i go back to school August the 22, ive got a 10 week summer holiday 4.gif but im working it away to get some money.

    Gotta go celebrate midsummer now... stupid swedish traditions! but a lot of snaps!

    Edit2: Updated post because ace found that RMIP-2 dosnt have SWAP as a dependancy, RMIP-1 did however, wich confused me, sorry everyone!

    your package are worth more than two thumbs.....

    BTW.. i would like to suggest something... it seems that there is still lacking in the lots... why not add some small gates.. espiecially those of fences... and also a long size of fences.. preferably 1x6 or 1x8 both straight and diagonal...

    Try also to increase the height of terminal fill.. its kinda flat.. i love to see those terminal fills which are big and have large windows... espiecially the entrance fill...its to tiny for a entrace which is 1x1... hheehe

    i guess that might give you a brainstorming ideas...

    and some other few add-ons

    Windsocks.. for some eye poping points..

    Radar center...

    Towing machines...

    Good choice, ace, on the elevated walkway.  Just make sure they're TE.

    ATCT???  Awesome!!! Why not try some hangars?  I'm suggesting one for the midprop for now.  Not much else to say.

    I see airport construction CJs are a hit!!!  Haven't even checked mine yet.  Xiziz, you're planning an expansion too?  That's great!!! Just make sure to include some exciting events in it.

    Ace- why not visit Canada on Canada Day!!!  Oh, right, it will be $2,000 for a flight to Toronto.  Likewise, a happy Canada Day to you!!!

    boom_box, Voltaire has a windsock prop.  However, no individual windsocks yet!!!  I'm sure he'll be able to make those.  Radar centres and towing machines.. Oh, my!!!  None of us has thought of that before.

    xiziz - I don't think SWAP is a dependancy for RMIP-2, so could you remove that from your post plz2.gif. I don't mind your interference, especially if you'd like to help me with modding the lots22.gif.

    Uumke - I am working on a version without RMIP-2 dependancy, but RMIP is also very usefull and if you really want to make a realistic airport its the perfect pack to use29.gif.

    boom_box - thanks for the ideas, but what exactly do you mean with gates? Do you mean Jetways? PM me on this plz2.gif.

    pilotdaryl - My walkways DONT need to be TE becacause I made them "overhanging" so you only need 1 lot for rail, road, street etc.
