sepsis:Well, I hate commie blocks (some years ago ,as child, I lived in a block) but that picture is good! Realistic! (But reality is worse than this picture...) Oh, and your CJ is good too! 08/10

ilikehotdogsalot: no comment...9.8/10 (The gaps disturb me.)

Yeah, there are some little gaps between the pictures. Anyway, your mosaic is great!

Sepsis: Realistic picture though...

Some awesome pictures here guys!

Ilikehotdogsalot: 9/10, looks amazing and very relaxing 4.gif Lost one point for the gaps though.

Sepsis: 8/10. Nice urban picture, love the highway. Some buildings are a tad repetitive though.

Here's one of mine from my latest city:

citypiclm8.jpg

I went a bit overboard with the trees I think 3.gif

The picture is definitely repetitives but that is obviously intentional. The multi-leveled terrain gives the screenshot some depth that totally flat cities lose. The main problem seems to be that the picture is devoid of life, probably because all of those buildings are plopped. To get some cars on the road place a few of the Traffic Generator lots in inconspicuous locations. The radio station, tennis courts, ect. add to the University feeling.

Actually, the only things plopped in that pic are the University and the Radio station (and the parks, obviously).  I just forgot to turn the automata back up for the screenshot.  Oops.  4.gif

sepsis: very nice planned little area, very communist! 9/10

HFD: nice use of the elevated rail embankments, very nice i agree, the trees are a little overboard, they're eating streets and so on 3.gif 8/10

Look at all of these! Nice work guys!

jayman68: It's a real city. Government buildings, burbs, a stadium, everything. But, as stated, repetitive and lacking detail. 7.5/10 nonetheless. I like how the avenue curves and exits the residential high-rises BTW.

ilikehotdogsalot

1st pic: Do I still need to tell you what everyone else said. Looks great dude! 9.5/10.

2nd pic: Oh I see the smoke... Ok that's enough mosaics coming from you, young man! (kidding, of course) 9.9/10.

sepsis (yes, comrade!)

1st pic: 8.4/10. I really don't have much to say except that it looks good.

2nd pic: You see? Not everything that's communist is crude. 8.9/10.

HFD: Hmm... It's like this pic was cut short... like I want to see more of the area. Anyway, the flora's great. 7/10.

That was a lot of pics to rate...

The_sanderson:8/10 pretty sweet effect, but its too basic of a pic.

Deever: Excellent, I love the cruise ship. The only minor suggestion I might have is to remove the one way arrows - a lot of people prefer them removed, 9/10.

The_sanderson: Nice attempt at the effects, but I would prefer it if the picture was upright, 7/10.

capitol1: Good work on that downtown, though perhaps you should zoom out a little bit, some parts of the picture looks a little "cut" on the edges, 8/10.

Dever: Great job man! I really like that cruse ship- 9/10

The_sanderson: A little confusing to the eye but an alright pic -7/10

Capitol1: Some good skyscrapers although a little bland 7.5/10

Here's an addon of my last pic. Started work on the western side. I tried to base this loosely on the modern cities of Hong Kong and Shanghai.

The_sanderson: 7/10. It's ok. Although it's like I'm viewing the area from a helicopter that's about to crash.

capitol1: Buildings are good. Nothing much left to say (I don't need to tell you to turn off the grid next time, of course) 7.7/10.

*****atoo-210893: The new area's sweet. 9/10 for this one.

Deever: Wow!  That picture is very eye-catching.  Great work.  9.5/10

The_sanderson: It's a little awkward from that angle.  However, I do like the blend of those Maxis residentials. 7.4/10

capitol1: Great close-up, but for me the trees don't make much sense in such a small parcel of land.  They spoil the urban atmosphere unless it is part of a park.  7.2/10

Wow that is an excellent picture there, great work on the layout of that city-it really works out great. Maybe someday I can create something on par with the sheer excellence of that city. It'll require a new computer, though, and a lot of work on my existing cities. Again, great job and keep it up. 10/10.

U lsot .5 of a mark cause the thought of a raised rail doesnt seem realistic.

    Aleking: 9/10 I love it.

Capitol1, this is a great rail system within the games limits. This raised rail is MUCH better then the humpy bumpy trainwrecking rails you'll see in other pictures. The best grade is no grade. 3.gif

Huh! It's just great! A perfect mixture of everything, and it makes the city very realistic. And the raised rail is o.k! Here, in Budapest, there are many raised rail lines. 9.8/10
