Well, here we are. Just north of the City of Brenntia (Financial District) lies Clay Hill.

This image (looking south) shows Clay Hill High Street, the Great Central Railway passes directly undeneath here, emegering just off the bottom of this pic into Clay Hill Station, and a little south into Brenntia Queen Elizabeth.

Dont rate on your style! Rate on the style of pic the posters are going for.quote>

Make something worthwhile before you go bashing others work.quote>

I'll keep those things in mind.

Long time no see, Rate One Image.

Dusktrooper: Oooh, yah. 9/10... (wait a minute, is that Rizal?)

LP: 8/10. Ghetto looks nice, just remove those U-drive it bubbles.

Glenni: Compared to the original, this one's better. 8/10.

Here's an all-Maxis small commercial center:

Very nice indeed tonkso. I really admire people who have the patience to make the W2W idea work so well.

DT ... very nice also. Gives me something new to play around with. Much appreciated.

Believe in only what you can prove.

The_sanderson - 5/10 - Like has been said, its a good looking building, but anyone could throw that together and snap a picture.

DuskTrooper - 8.5/10 - I'm not one that usually like European-themed cities, but this image appeals to me...could it be - too many trees?!?

LP - 0/0 - you said don't rate.

Glenni - 6/10 - but you lose a lot of points cuz a lot of your image is crust. otherwise, great work.

ILL Tonkso - 9.5/10 - Can I take back what I said about Euro-themed cities?

Deever and ilikehotdogsalot - 0/0 - I think this was discussed before about mosaics...well I'm lazy and won't rate, but I will say that you both have some fine work there.

Ok, mine: from my current CJ.

*****atoo, not bad at all. industry is a bit too close to the skyscrapers though

thorin, ah... the wonderful GLR. I love it so much because nobody uses it. i really like the feel of the whole area. the elevation change is just perfect, love how the glr just kinda comes out of nowhere then disappears again

It's been a while since I've stopped by this thread...anyway, here's a preview for my upcoming city journal. It's going to be dark, depressing and filled with communists. 9.gif

Preview.jpg

--------------------

sanantonio-9/10

Very nice region. I like the rural feel and the lack of skyscrapers, the farms are also done nicely with the tree dividers. The large plateua on the eastern side of the map is amazingly terraformed. 2.gif

*****atoo-210893-7/10

The proximity of the downtown to the industrial port seems a bit out of place, though the port itself is nicely done.

Thorin-9/10

I'm usually quite fond of your small screenshots and enjoy the way you zoom in on an area. I agree that the GLR is underestimated, I would use it more if it didn't always crash my game. 15.gif The buildings all flow together and the road network is interesting

sanantonio: 8/10. Maybe you should make brochures with that pic on it for the tourists.

*****atoo-210893: 7/10. As they said, the industrial port is too close to the commercial district but the city, in general, looks good. (in addition, your image is 1024 by 768. You might want to resize it. 800 by 600 being the biggest)

Thorin: Sorry. I don't know much about GLR. The closest thing I know to GLR is LRT (light rail transit). Your pic is very simple yet very appealing to the eye. 9/10.

Dark_Jedi06:

So that's why it reminds me so much about China. 8/10.

That's ok. You don't have to rate mosaics if you don't want to. That won't stop me from posting them though. More residential high-rises comin' atchah!

*****atoo-210893: Nice city, but there's a bit too much going on, The refinery is oddly placed, It's usually in the middle of the ocean, The industry is a bit too close to the Commercial center and those Cargo containers should be put somewhere less in the open, Also, there's a bit too many airplanes and ships going around that's a bit distracting. 6/10

Thorin: Very nice, quite simple, I too like how the GLR comes out of nowhere then disappears, Great use of custom content! 8/10

Jedi06: Wow! Very nice, I really like the photoshopping effects, The only things that I don't like are the colorful homes on the bottom, Communism isn't colorful, or so that's what El Burro says 3.gif 9/10

Deever: Great mosaic! I think that a few more bats should be placed there to make it more custom,, but either than that, Great job! 8/10

Okay, Here's my latest mosaic:

those that don't know me, nothing personal, but i just wont rate more than 800x600's sorry...

sanantonio looks complete, but isit perfected? reminds me of my region.... 7/10

reminds me of a picture very early on in this thread, but hey 7/10

Dark_Jedi06 very nice quality stamp mark, only concern, why does the lake stop so suddenly by the road, never mind 7/10

sorry huge dubai fan, umm its not that accurate on dubai... might be wrong but not sure about all those neon bars.

Okay, I'm gonna have another shot at this rate one imge forum. Here's my second pic- It's of a low-mid wealth area based on Hong Kongs Kowloon area. Notice the garden estate towers...they rock!

I know the oil plant may look a little out of place but alot of asian cities seem to have them in high rise- low wealth areas, anyway i think it looks cool

    RoiV2-1.jpg

Thorin:   Real nice GLR, cool looking network so 8.5/10

Dark_Jedi06:   Cool photoshop effects- i kinda like how the lake suddenly stops 8/10

Deever:   Nice, I like the sea wall. The high school seems a bit out of place though but then again the maxis high school sucks... 7/10

Ilikehotdogsalot:   Woah........Thats great! Where did you get that  "WE'VE SET OUR VISION HIGHER" tower? It's awesome 9/10

tyronne, your nitepicture on the second page is a solid 7 to me, but could have been an eight, if you would have taken the picture in playmode without the tools showing and the grid off, and maybe some more trees or more bldgs on the right. The bridge is also nicely done.

The second picture is a little poor in bldgs and too much green (too much park is like not enough) No mower can cut that much lawn (it looks like 15 acres each) and it is much too much wasted space . No rating, not to discourage you. 2.gif

Remember, this is my opinion and it is honest and neutral and supposed to be constructive, nothing more.

    Let's see...

You rate an image based on your opinion and the theme that the poster is trying to express. Some points also go to the effort that the poster did to polish, if you may, his picture like photoshopping and if that polishing did help bring the best out of the picture (although 'polishing' is not required for a picture to count). Oh, and realism is also checked, I believe.

    Might as well start rating...

*****atoo-210893: Love the blinding light effects. 8.5/10

sanantonio: Nice region map, I like the way you have enhanced it with graphics, 9/10.

*****atoo-210893: Picture 1: Good work, though maybe the oil rig would look better a little further out to sea, 7/10. Picture 2: The lighting effects are good and I am glad you have not over used them. A nice variety of skyscrapers and good amount of traffic on the highway too, 8/10.

Thorin: The train station and walls help cap off that picture, good work, 8/10.

Dark_Jedi06: That image is quite well themed, the smoke from the power plant and the border adds to it, 8/10.

Deever: I like how far you have zoomed in, the addition of cruise ship is good too, 9/10.

ilikehotdogsalot: Excellent work, the night lighting and traffic on the highway makes it very realistic, 10/10.

Cjah: Nice picture, I like the use of underwater rocks, 8/10.

This picture may need completely different scale for rating, but I give a go anyway...

Btw, is there anybody who can rate moving pictures that is happening all over my CJ?
