hey folks...........in a due time (as in an hour or so-or there abouts) there will be a Plugin made available for the "Starting New City" amount of a city. A few different ones will be made and put into one file for download.
The following modds will be made (just a guideline):

For drop dead lazy: BudgetModd $25M (yes, that is $25 million, 25,000,000 for any new city you start).
For Easy: BudgetModd $5M
For Medium: BudgetModd $1M

Other: RCIRevenueModd. This will adjust the revenue of all RCI types and wealth (excluding farms), effectively doubling the revenue from RCI but without effecting anything else (like mayor rating, demand etc).

[Only one of these 4 modds above can be placed in the Plugins folder and used at the same time, as they all involve changing the same file.]

So, no more more 4 billion dollar parks, no more money making ordinances, no more Artmoney........

Nice work Tropod.  Now if you can only figure out how to add in a menu (or modify an existing one) so that you can select which one to use 2.gif

Rubik, that would be nice, we can already modify an existing menu though [to some degree-I do know what you mean though], just can't add new unique functioning ones [yet]23.gif.......

Art Money or other money modds should only be used as trainers. They take away the real fun of building a city with a limited budget.

I am not knocking them, I used art money for quite a while myself, until I found the joy of actually building a city from scratch without money help. Well, ordinance enabling gambling I still use at the start of a city. Other than that, tho, no cheats per se.

Now that said, if you are interested in some realistic income producing lots, take a look at the LEX and search for CSX. There are some real nice lots designed for the Agricultural area (which always needs help) that will earn you money. Watch out you don't pay to much though. If you can't earn back your investment within 5 years, it is probably only a piece of eye candy for the wealthy city.

You can place the RCI Revenue mod in at the same time as one of the starter budget mods, correct?  Or not?

This is why you should read the readme...  9.gif

"This modd takes effect when you start a new city. However, it is best not to use these particular "SimoleonModd $*" on a city tile/map that has previously been occupied by a city, as the modd "may" not function properly (this is generally the case with cities that start with a Simoleon amount different to that of the previous city on the city tile/map). "

I'm not sure if simply deleting the city will work as the city save file may be simply zeroed out and retains the original residue. Try it on a new region and you will see that it works.

I like the idea, it is good, but I still prefer art-money, since I can ajust the right amount for my needs in a cheat City.

Yes, the ReadMe file does point out an item of interest regarding this. I probably should have pointed out too, that "Obliterating" the city will/should fix the problem, and the new amount should show as per normal when you then start that city. I'm not sure why there is this unusual occurrence with the game, I can only think that there are some values/items that the dat files are not used/accessed for until the current city (even if it's already been deleted/blank) is completely wiped out with the "Obliterate" tool, thus resetting everything for a city tile/map.

Those wondering about the RCI revenue modd, you can not use this at the same time as the other Simoleon modds. You can only use one of them, and one only, as none of them may work properly otherwise. I had done it like this for a reason, namely because if you have $1M/$5M/$25M, you shouldn't really need to worry about the income/expenses for quite awhile, and you should be able to get a handle on the game and/or use the millions just for fun or experimenting. The RCI modd is more for those who don't really want the Millions to start with, but would like some assistance with their budget in terms of monthly revenue.

Love the mod, but what is 'artmoney'?

    ----------------

Artmoney is a program that can change/edit values in a game I believe, but never having seen nor used Artmoney myself I'm not 100% sure what it does. I only know about artmoney because I keep hearing about it from other people who use it, and people constantly asking about/for it. Some of the instructions I've seen for it though (to modd things like money) are less than appealing. With these modd plugins I've done up, all you ever need to do is place a file in a folder, couldn't be any more simpler than that2.gif.

Yeah, Tropod, you've made our lives so much easier.  Where can you get this Artmoney program from?  It can do stuff with other games, right?  Or is it really that hard to use?
