ok so i need to like remove all the files to another place and put only the 1000m dat in my plugins folder... that makes sense, i uninstalled the columbus terrain mod, and deleted it, but the map still came out the same way (two islands, one on either end of map, and a small chain of islands near the north island), and it may be my water mod or something, so ill try that. thanks

jrhnemo: I'm truly sorry. I had it completed, but I forgot to upload it to the STEX. I'll get right to that immediately. 19.gif

EDIT: New York State has been uploaded to the STEX, and should be available shortly!

Mallow, could you make a map of Nashville, TN and it be the same size of your Indianapolis, IN map?

    Thank You.

    Thanks for the comments!

joeynymets: I have a program that allows me to export elevation maps as greyscales. However, unfortunately I still have to draw in the water wherever it is. For me, that's the most time-consuming part.

    About ROME, ITALY

    https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?mode=files&filetype=Map&Str=rome%20italy

Excellent job, but when I load the jpg file, after 30 minutes it goes, but there's no river neither sea: at the place of sea the is a plane, in place of tiber there's a canyon and the rest of map is a mountain. Where I am in wrong?
In other words, altitude is wrong 7.gif
    Any suggestion?

    Hello!

The problem is with your plugins. Either you are using a terrain mod that changes the import factors, or you are not using the plugin that is required (as listed in the description of the map). 19.gif

sloppet and adambrown14ADAM14, I have been very busy with school lately. I will be able to do this maybe later, but currently I just don't have the time. Sorry. 15.gif

There are a couple plugins which don't seem like they should impact the terrain rendering process, but they do.

If you have Cycledogg's Terrain Mod, that's an example of one of them.

My suggestion would be to move all your plugins (except the 1000m.dat) to a temporary folder while rendering, and then move them back when rendering is finished. 19.gif

For those who have requested maps, as I noted above, I have been very busy with school recently. If I can get some more free time, I'd be happy to make these maps for you.

Alkoala- Look at blade2k5's maps, Also, I could do the map. Tell me what dimensions you desire (or at least approximate) and I could send you a screenshot of what I get. Or ask Blade2k5, he does large/mountainous maps as well.

Thank you, it works!!! Great job!
Only the rivers in some little points are interrupted, but nothing important, it's easy to repair it!

I downloaded New York State the other night, as I am a resident, and it looked cool. I followed your instructions and downloaded your plugins to use, and I got the region generation error message, stating the bitmap size is incorrect, that it has to be 1025x1025. I also just read your forum on this subject, and I believe I'm doing what your directions say. Any help to get this to work would be appreciated.

Hi Mallow, I've a problem with the Des Moines map from your Us Edition Map Pack.

I created a region folderand put the config and the jpg into it.

When I want to render it I press ctrl' + 'alt' + 'shift' + r and this works but when I click on              "Des Moines.jpg" nothing happens.

I heard that other ones have the same problem.

    Any ideas?

It is just this map, the other ones work just perfectly!

Sometimes, for some reason, the jpg files don't save a greyscale jpegs. If you have IrfanView, just save it as a 'greyscale' jpeg and try it again.

    I hope this helps. 9.gif

I don't know if it's only happening for me, but there seems to be a problem with your London map. Everything turns out in mountain-high elevations. I have completely cleared both of my plugins folders, leaving only your import.dat and 250m.dat in the documents one.
