    Dragon and Jaqulina - Thanks for commenting, thanks for the happy bday too!

    Today I have for you the first of 2 updates. It's nothing that big, just some words from the city planner. Care to read it? It's about what is expected in Ridgefield, its comparison to Euphora and Covina, and also what buildings are to be seen here.

    Read away!

    49.gif Update 27

    Western Half Of City Revealed

    6underground - Thanks for your comment

    Compromise - Thanks!! My birthday was fun! 39.gif

    dhoppeii - Thanks for commenting here!

    Slowhand - Welcome to Simtropolis! Thanks for commenting here! Hope to see you hear again soon!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Today I will show you the western half of Ridgefield. It is getting built up nicely. Take a look.

    align=baseline>

    Ridgefield is much smaller than any other city in the state. It's also the northernmost city in the state.

    align=baseline>

    Downtown is very small but very convienient for the city. With nearby offices and workplaces, along with trendy stores and selective restaurants, downtown serves as a major spot in town. In the foreground are newly built condos overlooking Tower Drive.

    align=baseline>

    Before the development of commercial office in Ridgefield, the city relied heavy on industry. This section south of downtown preserves what's left of industry in Ridgefield. Many businesses have transformed from factories and warehouses to wealthy hi-tech facilities.

    align=baseline>

    This photo shows downtown and Ridgefield Blvd, a major throughfare. No boulevard in the state is like Ridgefield! The median is composed of cobblestone trails winding through blooming trees and gardens. Ridgefield Blvd serves as the barrier between the mid-dense downtown and the sleepy suburbs.

    align=baseline>

    The city's convenience really shows in this photo. Located on Ridgefield Blvd, Ridge Oak Plaza sits with 11 convenient stores such as TJ Maxx

    It looks just like a perfect suburb. A Target, which is the need of any suburb, a cemetery, and some office buildings aside it. In fact, it looks like my neighborhood. 44.gif Great pictures!

    Great suburb once again. Nice layout. I bet those highway on ramps/exits are really going to be congested with the new development!!!! Maybe use an avenue to ease it out.... I really liked the close up (teaser) pictures. More detail in a smaller community.
    I'm leaving for 2 weeks, but i'm going to want to see some amazing new developments.... So enjoy city-building!!!!

    Here's your score...

    Excellent things about this update which should be kept up: The good use of camra angles and shots and amount of updates.

    Passable things about this update which could be improved: Region/far out view of Ridgefield.

    Bad things about this update which should be improved: N/A

    Overall Rating: A B C D E F
                            ^ B++ Once again a excellent update.

    Some thanks to...

    Slowhand: Thank you for commenting! I'm glad you like the suburbs. I am thinking of writing an omnibus article on correctly making suburbs. I love the Target. Fits right into the town.

    railrod7 - Welcome back to Euphora! Congestion isn't really a problem in my cities anymore due to the NAM. The simulation shows heavy traffic at the onramps/offramps, but in reality, the traffic map is all green! Lots of people are using the highways, just in case you wanted to know.

    Compromise - Thanks for commenting once again with your useful rating system! I like when you post this here, gives me a good idea for the future!

    To All: Region view isn't really ready. Have to terraform some more. Unless you want to see flat plains lol. A far out view of Ridgefield should come soon! (This is a medium tile map btw).

    Thanks guys!

    harlowheat - Welcome to Simtropolis!! Also welcome to Euphora! Hope you visit again!

    Thatmonkeysim - Haha. Glad you like the layout of the suburbs!

    MissTonya -  The reason why you like the backyards is because I am using a modded version of low density res. I'm using the Urban Housing Mod, located on the STEX. Just type in Urban at the stex, and it should come up as Urban Housing Mod. It modifies all low density houses in the game!

    To All: THanks for the comments. Maybe just a zoomed out picture of Ridgefield today and that should be it.

    Wow mike....you have certainly outdone youself this time. The suburbs look perfect. I love how you give a clever description of every picture. I also really liked the sunken highway.

    Maybe if I rated it with the SJES...I would have given you an A.

    I am very careful when giving A's. I only give them out very rareley for a update which has a 100%+ trixie signiure. Don't get mislead that B's are just for standard updates, they are not. Here is a overview of my grade system:

    A= A truley perfect and trixie signiture update. Is one of the best updates for this city journal and Simtropolis.

    B= A excellent update showing very high standard of achivement and talent in CJ making. A Simtropolis top class update.

    C= A good update which is completed to a above average standard to other CJ's. A sign of a trixie signiture CJ slowley developing.

    D= A acceptable update with nothing servley wrong with it. A update which would keep most followers happy.

    E= A update which requires some inprovment and has a few faults. To attract more followers this CJ requires quite a bit of totching up.

    F= A update which requires a lot of inprovement and has many faults. To get any followers this CJ needs a lot of work done to it.

    kingofsimcity - Thanks for commenting! Hope to see you again!

    Compromise - You've given me an A before. I was surprised! But a B is great. Everytime I see city journals where you have used your method. I have seen B, C, and even D! For mine to be A-B material, that really influences me to show more updates.

    Jaqulina - Thanks for always commenting and keeping touch here! Glad you liked the teaser.

    To All: Gonna be gone today so expect an update tomorrow night!
