West Ridgefield

Well here is that update I promised. I just want to say thanks for all the continuing support in this journal. Updates 29 - 30 both shared over 25 comments! Here is the update...

There has been some sprawl west and north of the city, Ridgefield. Here are some of the current looks.

Here is the main business center of West Ridgefield. It is centered around lush, quiet suburbs. As you can see, along the outer roads of the small downtown are some apartments.

Suburbs stretch across most of the town. In a few spots, some apartments outrank the smaller middle class dwellings. The business center is to the west of this shot.

SUNY RIDGEFIELD

SUNY Ridgefield is a new college center located in West Ridgefield. It is a small campus which enrolls some thousands of students, with day and night classes. Also, many of the city ordinances like CPR Training and ReadAThon, a reading campaign, often are hosted here.

INDUSTRY TO RIDGEFIELD

The city has a background of industry, but was quickly demolished in some commercial development. West Ridgefield has opened space for industrial companies such as Sony

RedHigh - Please be patient. I have to remember where I found this mod due to the fact that it is not available on Simtropolis. I can't locate it in my plugins folder too, because I don't know the name of the .dat file. So I will get back to you as soon as I can, I'm trying hard to find it for you.

 

Deathtoall - Yeah, I'm using the recording tool, but then you have to incorporate the frames into an animation or wmp file. And I don't see any crash?

OH! now this is just too good to be! My CJ is junk, compared to yours and the use of SC4's animation captures, is genius!

Pinedale is located south of West Ridgefield, and is really being built up. The population already exceeds West Ridgefield.

This is looking really great. Very nice suburban layouts The animations and signs add a nice realistic touch, of course. I see I-276 and immediately think it should be the PA Turnpike, but I guess not in this case...

Hey Mike, been out of town for a while and am trying to get caught up here.  I Really enjoyed the last two updates.  The Forge looks like just the place for me to have a nice Filet Mignon and a glass of wine...and the animated .gif with the weather report below is genius.  I always enjoy those extra added touches you give us.  I also really like the way you give us some really broad shots of a developed area.  They really help us get a handle on what we are looking at.
