    OMG!!! Tis back!!!

    Yes it is!!!! So sorry for not updating, but the computer decided it would be funny if it killed my best city and locked me out. So the New Haven there is gone....but, I rebuilt and now with a RAM upgrade it should not happen again. I've only got back to it in the last few days, so here are a few pics of what I did so far...

    There will be much Roleplaying from now on, and involvement with the SCJU, to get an extensive overview, visit the EuroWiki pages on Calderwood over here: http://www.europeanaffairs.co.uk/wiki/index.php/Calderwood

    Hope you welcome me back and please comment!

    Nice Cj. I like how you added history to it. And especially the last update showed a really gifted hand for selecting and plopping BATs.48.gif

    There is just one thing I have to critise: 47.gif

    Don't upload PNG-files! 28.gif They take years to load! 14.gif Convert to JPGs 37.gif to give people with a slower connection a chance to watch your beautiful work!

    Since I will be away this week coming. Here is a small update to keep you going.

    Filler Update

    The CAF (Calderwood Air Force) has many bases across Calderwood. One of which is found at Halixstowe, an industrial port on the coast. CAF Halixstowe is where many fighter jets are scrambled from.

    <ahttp://img228.imageshack.us/img228/9284/cafhalixstowe011of.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img424.imageshack.us/img424/5043/cafhalixstowe028fm.jpg align=baseline>

    And ummm thats all that I have...

    Oh and before I go onto replies one thing. Please disregard all that has been said about Calderwood being an island. It is part of a landmass found in the lower Atlantic Ocean. Here is a map that is out of date a bit:
    <ahttp://img229.imageshack.us/img229/7988/calderwoodmap016yw.png align=baseline>

    It is out of date because the unclaimed territory south of Calderwood is now a country called Akabania.

    Thanks for your comments!

    Nardo69: Thanks and I will try to do that in future.

    Thank you for your comments, more always welcome!

    WOW... fantastic update Muzz.. that looks so awesome. Even though it is only a small update those pictures sure make up for it. I love the Naval base layout and great out on designing that airforce base.

    Cool looking map too. What is the water texture mod you are using?

    Oh it's good to see you playing again.

    Back to the last update. I'm honoured to have an embassy in your great Nation. I look forward to trade and political ties improving in the future.

    Have a great and safe trip... see you soon.

    Keep up the grat work too...

    Update Time!

    Here we are with yet another update from the land of Calderwood. Today we will look at a spring day in New Haven. We start in beautiful Ridley Park, and the large clocktower you see is Ridley Tower. It cannot be accessed by the public, but chimes a tune on the hour every hour from 9am until 9pm so as not to disturb residents nearby. Also, to the right of the picture, you will see New Haven Zoo and the SeaWorld Aquarium (Not to be affiliated with SeaWorld Adventure Parks) .

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/ridleyparkfog.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/summer-rain01.jpg align=baseline>

    Unfortunately, as the morning progresses, we are struck by one of New Haven's notorious thunder storms. Thunder storms are common in spring and early summer in New Haven, and usually strike with hammering rain and very loud rumbles. Unfortunately for us tourists, today is no exception, so we decide to take refuge in a nearby Cafe for brunch while the storm passes over head.

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/university01.jpg align=baseline>

    After a delicious, filling brunch, we head towards the university, now that the rain has gone. New Haven University is very popular with young students. As we pass to take pictures, a few of the younger members of the tour, run in to see if there are any places avaliable, unfortunately for them there are not, and the receptionist tells them that kids as young as 12 have their names on the list, as the waiting list is so long!

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/infirmary021.jpg align=baseline>

    We walk past the station and the infirmary to the Victoria Centre, where we take a quick, hour long tour of the Calderwood Broadcasting Network (CBN) studios.

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/overview01.jpg align=baseline>

    And finally we take a trip up to the top of the Calderwood Air Tower, to the observation deck, to get superb views of the city.

    And that ends our quick tour today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing New Haven, and I look forward to showing you around next time.

    I really appreciate your kind comments, they are what drive me to make my cities better than I have done before, so thank you!

    Fox: I'm not sure of the exact name, but it's one of PEG's, I think it's Crystal Lagoon or something...

    Cya, and be sure to pop in again.

    Mini Kind of an update...

    Please note that opinions expressed are purely there for characterisation and the storyline and that the opinions shown do not necessarily mirror my own opinions. Again, opinions expressed here are purely fictional.

    I've been playing a little bit recently. Enough to get a new part of the city I'm going to call Mayfair started. But first, there is an issue in the country that the Calderwood Mail have published on their front page...take a look:

    calderwoodedition010gr.jpg
    We can assure that this is not our government's stance on immigration at all, in fact we are glad to have an increasing population. More tax-payers-uh I mean citizens...um yeah, where was I...yes, more citizens is a good thing for us, and Calderwood Pride's actions will not be tolerated.

    Anyway, on with the show!

    Hope you have enjoyed this mini kind of update. Next time there will be a proper, full update (that may be some time away though...i.e. a week). Thanks for the very inspiring comments! Glad that my weather effects went down so well 3.gif.

    nycsc4: That would be the Newman Inc. Hospital by CityNut, it's avaliable on the STEX, so if you try out some words like City Nut or Hospital, you should find it.

    Sorry if I missed someone elses question about a building, and thanks again for your great support and cooments!

    Some nice short updates there Muzz... I look forward to seeing more of your Nation though. I think New Haven would have to be the most undiscovered or private Nation in the SCJU.

    The news articles are coming along nicely.

    I really like the detail and the effort you put into making each picture let us know exactly what is happing in the pictures, all the building names and uses ect, it's a good idea.

    Can't wait to see where you take us next.36.gif

    I'm going to tell you a story now.

    One day, Muzz went to play New Haven. But to his great dismay, the game crashed. He decide it was a one off and he went back to play New Haven, it happened again. Concerned, Muzz checked the Exception reports and thought he'd found the problem. The memory. So he played around with the paging file and still New Haven crashed when he tried to play it. He deleted some extra programmes to clear some space, and still New Haven crashed. He decieded to try another city, and started work on the airport, to his joy, it worked and assumed he'd solved the problem. Muzz went to the region view and entered New Haven, surely it would work now....But no...and Muzz finally came to the sad conclusion...that yet AGAIN...New Haven was corrupted.

    And that's a true story...

    I agree, well when I start my new region which will be made out of a gradient map of the map I use for my nation on EuropeanAffairs, that is what I will do. You can expect this new region to be rendered by today and hopefully the first update in a week or so.
