Hello. I'm new at B.A.T and I want to make a 3d model of this building I designed and made a model of. The model is what I'm going to make a 3d render for. It is made of paper and household products. I need someone to show me what to do step by step. If you need to ask questions to help you help me ask in this thread or email me at Kopaka554@yahoo.com . Here is a link to the building info at http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=35975   only thing about that is that the picture there is not the picture I wanted on the site. The one I wanted it below.

These are pictures of the model. I put them in this form because it is harder to post picture here than in other forums.
This is a photoshop picture of it.
Don't mind the room it is kinda junky. 39.gif

I hope that you all can help.

It looks awesome for a non-GMax model! I can't help you with the BAT, but if you contacted some of our better BATers, or read the BAT tutorial in the Omnibus, it should turn out great. Good luck!

You do realize that the BAT uses computer models, right?... there's no way that a construction paper model will ever find its way into SimCity....

render? I just want to know if the texture files are made out of tissue paper? lol, just joking, in all seriousness, inspiration can come from anywhere, including a cardboard model, good luck with the BAT

wow, you have more talent on paper than most do with gmax itself!

if you need a tutor, im willing to show you the ropes - free of charge 3.gif.  just realize that i will be in and out these next few months so don't get discouraged.  ill show you the basics, and then you can experiment and play with the program and start on your way.

all youll need is an MSN messenger account - mine is nitro747@sbcglobal.net

    you'll make a fine BATter.

I didn't have much time with gmax yet only a few days. If someone shows me how to post a picture of a B.A.T I will show you what I have so far.

The best thing about real life models is that there is no lightning render lag, and caustics are automatic!18.gif
If you use autoCAD (3d) well, you'll have few problems to learn how to use gmax, it is just an simpler 3d application. If all fails, make your model in autoCAD and import to gmax (gmax can import.3ds and I think autoCAD can export)
Oh, and nice parrots (not sure if those birds are parrots, but whatever)3.gif18.gif
