I just thought that the whole thing was a lot somewhere in the STEX. How did you get the park benches, trails and lamp posts?? That's what I'm really interested in .

I must say that this is my first visit here, and I have to add that I am extremely impressed. I shall return to see what you have in store next. I like the park, and especially the use of the retaining walls.

UPDATE 28

Goldenrod Plains International Airport!

 

28.01 Here we have a short view of where the airport is going to be.

 

 

28.02 The First runaway is built.

 

 

28.03 After some serious building, dual runways were made.

 

 

28.04 A new convention center was built for Travel reasons...

 

 

28.05 And some more zoning was required for more visitors.

 

 

28.06 Then, an airport Tunnel was built for commuters.

 

 

28.07 Boy, advertising has gone to its max...

 

 

28.08 A Full airport overview.

 

 

28.09 Another airport overview, after some more construction.

 

 

28.10 A Full city overview.

 

 

28.11 Now a regional overview.

KOSC - Hey man, the airport looks fantastic....I really like the tunnel under the runway....reminds me of Detroit Metro Airport, which is close to where I live.  The region shot looks great too.  I am wondering if you plan to include some sort of mass transit to the airport?

dhoppeii: Hey, thanks dude! Oh, and as for the tunnel under the GPIA(Goldenrod Plains Int'l Airport, we have some of that here in Los Angeles. And as for mass transit, hmm...I don't know, a shuttle or some subways...but I think monorail and highway is the best.

This CJ has really progressed over time, it's really top-level. This tops any of my work for sure. I love my new corporate headquarters BTW, how did I just know that it would be a NDEX building?

Keep it up KOSC, and do not fret, I have not abandoned Goldenrod Plains...I am indeed still here!

Wow, incredible airport!  The layout is great, very functional and realistic.  I also like the tunnel to the airport, however I do think that a mass transit connection is certainly in order.

I'm curious, when you custom-make an airport like that, is it functional or is it just for looks?

Update!! . Looks great as usual!!

 

Two points of constructive criticism, hope you don't mind . The park in the fifth picture looks a little...quite of place. IMO you should fill the surrounding area with trees or parks (unless you already plan to ). The airport's placement in a dip in the terrain looks a little strange too. Trees to alleviate the problem perhaps??

Hey Kosc!

Just finished reading the whole thing! took me over an hour and thirty minutes to read it and... it was worth it!

And I don't feel like giving you any advice cause obviously you dont need any!

Things I like a lot : Great use of parks, greenery, waterfalls, interesting road layout, perhaps short on streets though! but that is a personal preference nothing else!

Things that I'd do differently: practicaly nothing, you have your style, and it's really good!  The only thing I would modify are some too steep slopes in roads or streets. But please, don't do it! The reason is, this is a game and everyone MUST do it in his, or her, way.. And yours is excellent! As we say in french Vive la diff

MAN, I love airports .

Superb work on this one, KOSC, I really like the way you've taken pics at different stages of the build too - very effective that. One question tho, are you using Joerg's v2.1 pack? I can't quite tell from the pics. If not I can recommend it!

KOSC - First off, I read your comments here and over in Darmok's CJ.  I just wanted to echo what Darmok said and that is to take care of yourself.  I hope the eyesight will get better and don't worry about the lack of time to post and/or comment.  I know I will still follow whatever you choose to do here.  Now about this update.  I really like your downtown area.  You seem to have such a diversity of buildings that it truly looks credible...The airport expansion is fantastic, but you truly get a feel for the work you have done there when seeing the expansion next to the rest of the airport......WOW......Looks like you have built yourself an International Gateway there.  The Anduin Valley Embassy is breath taking.....Truly inspiring work there my friend....

Any decision you'll make we'll respect!  And if you decide to begin a new CJ we'll read it with as much pleasure as this one. Though I'd like very much for this one not to go to waste!
