The Rosendorf Interchange looks really good, even if it isn't the real layout of it. As for the rest, nice pics, and I'm looking forward to more!

This is amazing!! Your transit networks are among the best here on ST, very unique and very realistic. Excellent downtown areas, nice buildings and BATS that you use here. I love your agricultural areas too.. excellent work!!!! 44.gif

Very realistic city. I'm not too familiar with Omaha, but I have been through it, and this looks real good. Nice job!

    Yes it is the Rosenblatt.

Mr. Beer. Just a quick note. I know your not actually going for correctness but here are a couple things.

    1. Rosenblatt is just the stadium plus parking. This sits directly right off the major road as you have it. The street (south of the statium - between the stadium and the parking lot) goes directly into the zoo. Henry Doorly Zoo sits directly the right (East) of the stadium

    2. The area to the left (west) of the stadium is actually a park area plus residential which runs pretty close to the interstate.

    3. On the Arena... do you mean Area or our actual Qwest Center???

    4. For the I-80 US 75 interchange, the 75 is to the south and to the north is called I-480 which leads to downtown Omaha. The interchange itself is hard to recreate. So the way you did it is a perfect 10. It at least gives the illusion of how big it is. =)

    Hope these help a bit.

    REPLIES

What a lot of replies! Thanks all, I'm sorry if I didn't make some update more frequent, too much work, but I've got some advance and I'll do it this weekend!

Tonight: Germany World Cup 2006, with Germany VS Costa Rica and Poland VS Equator! I hope it would be a nice world cup ;-)

To metasmurf: Thanks a lot! Google Earth helps me a little bit!

    To jacqulina: Thanks ;-)

To juanico: Merci, je pensais que tu était de l'Arizona au début ;-) Je ne sais pas si tu regarderas le mondial... bonne chance pour l'équipe de France.

To E.J.C: Lol, thanks, just, its not easy to build something, sometimes I must to put a city in the rubbish and to rebuild it...but its the game.

Its a simple recreation of Omaha, main road layout are approximatively the same, but not all.

To aleking: Thanks AK ! ;-) Hope you like it!

To scba: Huh, something like it. It's not an exact on-scale replica. I use maps and Google Earth for some stuffs, but for the 90% its just an recreation ;-)

To cityhawk: Thanks, just a simple cloverleaf, I tried trough hours and hours to make something better... :-( But it looks good too ;-)

To Mikeaut1: Thanks my friend! I do my best ;-)

    To Sc4_cewl: Thanks!

To mcarch: Thanks a lot for your helps, I know it, but I did some personal touch on this area, I'll found something for the Qwest Center. Sorry if you waited for an exact replica of Omaha, but it don't, I use the the major road network as the game permits...

I-480: Ok, I don't have a very close map at home... I did a mistake...

Thanks again!!! =) I'll see if I can do some corrections...

To lardonbur: Thanks! Some other cool stuff will come...I'm glad you like it! =)

    Cheers and Go Switzerland!

Out of all CJ I'm really enjoy this one; infact I had to make a comment that I usually dont do. I have heard of council bluff from some of my friends on the railroad from back when. I remeber them talking about a bar that only railroaders could get to and have a cold one. I doubt if it stil around selling beer because of the fedrals regulation and so forth, but wonder if you heard of such thing. Just an ideal.

I like all of the houses with their nice pools and back/front yards. Also, well laid out power plant, and all those parking lots in Nashville sure do show American realism (how everything has a huge parking lot in front of it; therefore, you can see a sea of parking lots from an overview or even on the ground sometimes). I can't wait for more, Mr. Beer!

    UPDATE

    And replies first!

To Squarebush71: Thanks =) I know that Council Bluffs, IA has a railroad museum, but not about the railroader bar... It wouldn't be normal to sell beer for them, like truckstops can't... but in Germany its allowed to sell beer and liquor in the petrol station and the truckstops...

To cityhawk : Yes! Genuine american front car park, just awesom in real-life!!!

    Thanks a lot!

    hey Mr. Beer,

I must say that you have one of the most beautiful rural CJ's I have ever seen! It is truly realistic - and those region transportation shots look like a real map!

it really reminds me of so many places I have been in the midwest - e.g. rural iowa, illinois, oklahoma, missouri, kansas, etc. its really first rate.

This is one of the most realistic city journals I've ever seen!!!!! This is my first time in this CJ, and browsing the last few pages, I must say! You have captured perfectly the beauty of wide open spaces in a suburb!

    Salut Mr. Beer.

I can't believe I've missed so many great updates. The stadium complex looks great and also your expansive suburbs. Nice waste of space once again, but also great layout. I love the large retail stores, very suburban.

    Take care my friend.
