My first try for an accurate scale map.
Djerba is part of Tunesia (North Africa), the 'capital' is Hawmat Al Suq. There are no waterways ( duh... it's a desert) so don't expect wealthy farms. Tourism is the major source of income for the French/Arabic speaking inhanbitants. A 7km dam conects the island with the mainland. There a no hills worth to mention.
I think the size is the same as in real life, it's a 1921x1921 map
