And now is September! The work in general for this year has brought little results and continues to this days. There are already built microdistricts: Mėdla (captured with little town Iknota): Opila: and Ekli: The settlement in them continues to this day. After an unpleasant history in Virapila, where, after settling into the district without any fee, an unprecedented rampant crime took place, so it was decided to sell apartments here, however, at preferential prices. Other microdistricts are still constructing, so they will be done apr. in November. On the territory of the free city of Kištu, as well as in adjacent areas (garda's), the D6 road were completely rebuilt to the new motorway B18 in the south side from the city. The north side is almost done too. Here you can see the new junction Ekli - Saluōka - B18: Here is shown the small town Salaspila with a new constructed highway B18 in the north: And in conclusion of this issue - a photo of a new railway to Satra for 12 kilometers from Kištu:

Kištu-1986 (After the communism) - "Construction Time Again"
jakis posted a City Journal entry in Dzingalia
July. Since the last issue, it has been found suitable areas for construction of new microdistricts, and even managed to quickly start the construction. In Medla, almost all houses are built, in Ackley and Opila construction is also almost completed. We will return to them in September, by that time, there the construction will be fully completed. Now for your attention I will represent other new microdistricts. Ōrbočka: Jasurku (in the South) and Tedė (in the North) near the Tedė Šiluminiu Elėktrostātuma (Tedė Thermal Power Plant): Sota: Rialu (in the North) and Liloāna (in the South) near the Ziėkālps-Piėtiu (Ziėkālps-Southern) built in 1978: Instead of building tram lines, it has been decided to build bus stops for now: it will allow in the future to determine by actual traffic the need for a tram line to a certain microdistrict, and also where and how it will pass. ___ My favourite album, which can approach the topic and fit for then time: although it was created in the summer of 1983, I think it can be suitable for 1986. -
It's April now. Last month the construction began: under construction are the neighborhoods Ekli: ... Mėdla: ... and Opila: Totally they give that quantity of square meters, which covers only 39% of the plan for housing construction. This means it is necessary to urgently seek new areas for construction. There is a multi-level intersection of the railway. The one that comes from the west, by the bottom of the junction and goes to the southeast, it is a new railway to Satra:

28th of February. A week ago, there's planned a warming on this days, but actually now it's still laying snow and -17C. Interested people are really waiting for the beginning of this spring, when it finally will be possible to start the main work. Tomorrow already comes the calendar spring. Two overpasses of road D6 are prepared for demolishing, one of which is in the photo. Next, bulk works are planned, but they are not carried out until a plus temperature occurs. For the same reason, works are suspended on the construction of the railway line to Satra. Over the winter, carefully planned where and how will be built 3 new microdistricts for the housing program. The works are not carried out for the same reason as the bulk works too, but nevertheless negotiations are already underway with the owners of the farms that are located on the territory of future housing complexes. Further, the demolition of these structures and the preparation of the territory for construction are being prepared. Here is the territory of the microdistrict Ekli: Here is the future Opila This is the territory for the Medla microdistrict, which is almost ready for construction. At the moment, 3 micro districts are being accurately planned. The other microdistricts of the housing construction program will be planned during the construction of the first three microdistricts.

The 1986 came. It's January now. Relatively warm, -5С, the snow is laying. Recently, such development programs as the agro-economic and industrial programs were announced for 1986 year. Also there were are new: housing program and transportation program. So, this year Kištu participates only in these 2 new programs. The city got a plan to build houses for 100,000 people, then rebuild the roads B7 and D6 into the motorways and build the railway line to Satra. So, now work has begun on the restructuring of the road D6 into the motorway. First of all, the reserve road of the rebuilding road was started for the time of rebuilding. While it's winter and temperatures are expected to be above zero only by the spring, so only the demolition of road junctions and dismantling will take place for now. The constructions are planned only by the spring. At the future railway intersection, a gravel pillow has already been sprinkled, and soon there will be installation of tracks. Beginning of the housing building is also planned only by the spring. Coming soon!

Hello there, after 2 years. During this time the city has changed, but it can not be said that that are strong changes. Let me start with the fact that after my last post, in the country, as well as in the whole city, there was a giant wave of decommunization. In the city were renamed approximately 500 objects: streets, squares, boulevards, avenues, schools, hospitals, tram stations and much more. On Lenin Square (Lėnina placa), which now bears the name of the Housing Square (Namiu placa), the monument to V.Lenin was demolished. Then, at the end of 1983 Dzingalian government decided to make an agricultural development program for 1984 and decided to start from the cities. Kištu got into this program. Now 38.9 thousand of people work in the agricultural sector all over the city, when before this programm this value was hardly equal to a only thousand. In addition, new roads and overpasses have been built for the needs of the working people. This is a satellite snapshot of the city and its suburbs: And this is a map of the city's road infrastructure: Here, all the changes were recorded for 1983-1984. It is noteworthy that the images (taken in May 1984) are completely relevant so far even for now, November 1985. This is because by 1985 the city decided not to include in the program of agricultural development due to the lowest unemployment percent in the country. Also, by the same reason, the city was excluded from the program of industrial development in 1985. The city is very lack of manpower. Therefore, representatives from this city were promoting the launch of the mass housing program for 1986. And recently, on September 25, preparations began for the introduction of the 1986 housing program. For these needs on October 29, was developed the first own project of a series of houses for mass construction, named NM-1 (yyeeah, exactly this). But for now this is all that is known about housing plans. As for many things in the city, nothing has changed in these 2 years. The same can be judged by the two schemes of the city tram: one made almost immediately after the country gained independence: the other was made in the same year, 1985, in the summer.
