    Hey Joey, you can go ahead and release that Freeway Ends sign on the STEX if you want. But if you did that, you should probably do like a package of generic signs like, just a thought.

    Hi everyone, I want to thank everyone who has helped me so far. Ok, now I did get the ligths to work on the signs, sort of. Someone explain this one to me. I created this sign, plopped it on 2 different ends of a freeway interchange at the same time (the game was paused). I turned on all day and then all night and this is what I got. Now remember, this is the same sign planed at the same time, they are NOT two different signs. https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Model%2002%20-%20Problem%201.JPG align=baseline> As you can see, the light isnt working. To test it out, i laid out a whole bunch of signs in a box that was 3 signs down by 3 signs across. Some were lit and some werent. Ideas?

    As was long awaited, here is Model 02. There are no lights since I was able to get them to work once in my game but not again. Perhaps in an updated model, the lights will be there. The only shield for this one is the GSPKY, to use the other shields, simply merge them from Model 01. There is no instruction file with this, please go to the Generic Highway Sign Development Tutorial for that information. Same basic rules apply for Model 01 and 02. The tutorial for Model 02 should be completed shorty.
  9. Hey Guys, I LOVE THIS THING. It is mega awsome. There are only a few comments I have: 1. Maybe in the next release, having some interchanges would be awsome. 2. Jug Handles (every visit new jersey?) 3. Interections with stop lights (IE: In the first 2 shots, I converted the RHW into an avenue and because it wouldnt put up stop lights when I ran the road over the top of it). Other than that, I would love to learn how to start making intersections for you if someone wouldnt mind telling me how. Also, Model 02 of the G.H.S.D.P (The overhead PA 434 North/South Signs in the first 2 pictures) has been finsihed and will be released next week sometime on the STEX.   10. Dear RHW Team and Affiliates: All of us simtropolians are very greatful for the gift of finally being able to break away from the bounds of the in-game 3 lane freeway. It is also the first sign with actual rear pannel textures instead of a solid yellow color (the new standard for all signs comming out after this one). We will not be posting this sign on STEX, but would rather be honored if you put it out with your release as a plopable lot.     Ok, its still not working. Here are the steps I have done so far: 1. Created a spot light to shine on my sign. 2. Changed the name of the lite to nitelitespot01. 3. Previewed it in Day and Night (It looks fine in both day and night, exactly how I want it). 4. I finish up the sign, bat it, and open it up in the plugins manager. 5. In the plugins manager, I set the light option to True and close the plugins manager. 6. In LEProp Editor, I set the power usage level to 1. 7. I start the game, play it in daytime mode/night time mode, and then switch between the 2 modes twice and wait one sim month. 8. The lights refuse to come on. I thought i Had the latest patches, but maybe I dont. Where are the latest patches that I need that are related to my issue. I checked the EA website and I dont see any specific light patches.

    How long do I have to wait before the lights come on. Because I just did that and Im still waititng for them to come on. Should I play around in god mode with the day and night settings?

    Hi Everyone, Excellent thread. I have read all of it and I think that my question might have some relevance. I have downloaded all the latest patches from the simcity site, I have RH, Gmax, the whole lot. I am just learning how to do this and I wanted some help. I created the lights for the following sign in the follow way: Create--Lights---Target SPot: But it was showwing up in the day time too. So I named the lights nitelite_1 and nitelite_2 and then I got this: So I got the lights to turn off in the day but not on at night. So then, I went and changed the settings in the plugin manager: I then re-plopped the sign in the same lot, saved, and then tried the game over again for a good half hour. It is still not working. What exactly am I missing? Pictures deleted due to being over the permitted ST picture limit. Please in the future keep all pics at 800*600 pixles , Superstar

  15. Yea I was kinda wondering that myself, are there going to be RHW onramps and offramps?
  16. I know, its a work in progress. Were aiming to get the signs to be at a maximum of 18 feet (or 6 meters) from the base of the sign to the road bed, since that is what an engineer from PennDOT said to me in an email I sent to the DOT asking about specific dimensions of all types of freeway signs. How will this translate into the game? The beauty of these signs are that they are completely customizable if you want to! You could scale it down to what your heart desires
  17. To the RHW team, this is what we at the G.H.S.D.P are having in the works right now: This is a 20 minute work of what Model 03 will look like when it is released. This is NOT the final version. We are still working on some problems with our Model 02: ] With that model, we are working on the lighting problems and the lighting props for the sign. Once those are figured out, jeronji is helping out the most with Model 03, walking me through transit enabled props and what not. I am INSANELY tied up with 3 different school projects right now, so I am leaving most of the work in the capable hands of my team mates. However, the new update model 01 with 9 shields (US interstate, US Highway, NJ/Delaware/Iowa/Kentucky/Mississippi/New Jersey/Oklahoma Shield, Ohio Shield, Pennsylvania Shieldi, NY Shield, Trans-Canadian Highway 1 Shield, QEW [Canada] Shield, and Canada's interstate shield) is available on STEX. Go to the G.H.S.D.P thread to check out what thats about!!!!! qurlix, id really like to know what you think about the progress for Models 02 & 03. What do you want done and not done, PM me!!!
  18. Thanks for the that one qurlix, my team and I are working on some lighting problems we are having with our model 02 sign. But, we will need this later!!! The sign for these roads probably wont be started until after its release anyway. Thanks again.

    I have been getting some reports that when the STEX is downloaded, the interstate highway shield does not show up. To test why, I deleted my gmax file and reloaded it from STEX. The highway sheild was there for the interstates. Please go to the Generic Highway Development Thread for more details.

    Oh, I didnt know that!!! Thanks for telling. Ok, tell you what people, if I get it, I can tell you where to get it! Much respect to budweiserman23, I wouldnt do anything without anyone's permission. Im looking for instructions on how to create my own sign. I used it once, made a house with 1 door and all orange and got frustrated after that because I didnt want to make a house, I wanted to make a sign!!!

    Yea, I know. I tracked down the independent websites for the 2 Barry Sanders Page and noone of them were working. If they were, I would suspect that I could find the Generic Exit 69 page there, but since they arent, does anyone have this gmax file so that I could get working on my own exit signs?
