  1. Show us Your Interchanges!

Oh, that's the dirt road trail in the non-draggable Pedestrian Mall tiles (they're the last option in that menu when you tab).
  2. Show us Your Interchanges!

Because I'm in love with FlexFly ramps, two junctions: On the left is one I posted previously, but more compact and with a Draggable Road Viaduct over the ramps (which, when I build out this map, will look great with cars crossing over each other, hopefully). On the right, is a close-up of my redo of my first T-Interchange, but converted to a Parclo: FlexFly ramps connect RHW to RHW, and the loops connect the RHW to OWR - which becomes an avenue that ends (see 3rd pic - the whole neighborhood) at the waterfront/beach. In case you're wondering, I nuked the original version of this map bc it took up too much memory on my Mac, so this is being redone to have more green space and get a 1.5 million population in a more dense footprint. I'm also doing GLR in this to have actual routes instead of laid tracks and switches where one train can go everywhere - so for example, that "C Train Term" you see is for a route I've made where that C train goes from here to the Northwest part of the map with only (so far) two interlines. When I finish this over the next few months, I'll post pics to show how it worked out.

I just use the onslope in the Draggable Elevated Viaduct option of the road menu. I did use to use the Road Viaduct Alternate Styles, but as son as a draggable viaduct came in contact, the steel and Japanese style viaduct went away for the concrete ones you see.
  4. Show us Your Interchanges!

Some other overbuilt interchanges I've done. In the city I mentioned in my previous post, the first two were interchanges on an OWR expressway - the first (Ring Road Spur) being a spur to another island as a Michigan-style Expressway (ie 8 Mile, Telegraph Rd or Ford Road in Detroit), and the second being the junction between the Ring Road and the cross-town OWR expressway. The latter two, "Concurrency" and "Bk Bridge-Style" are in a separate big map in this region: Concurrency is how the RHW in my previous post shifts position but doesn't exactly become a concurrency (ie like Interstates 85 and 285 in Atlanta near the Airport); and the Bk Bridge-Style is a complex junction between a river road/highway (that became a RHW right below the interchange) and a thru-RHW - much like the interchange in NYC between the Brooklyn Bridge and the FDR Expressway.

So I destroyed a city and decided to rebuild it to 1) use less memory, 2) Have GLR lines constructed with termini like real public transport systems, 3) make the cross-region RHWs more effective at cross-town travel, and 4) have it be less of a concrete jungle. Here's a unique T-Junction I made while evaluating if I want this particular RHW to be a crosstown RHW, OWR Expressway, or not at all.
  6. Background: I built this city before I downloaded NAM, so OWRs to make space for Els and have maximize development in each block. Now I want to replace the Els and OWRs with El over Ave. But I have well-used GLR routes. (My setup is somewhat akin to the NYC Subway when double letter trains existed but with Els as “express”/limited stop services and GLR as local/every stop trains.) In the pic, the circle shows where I’ve placed a tile for the El to crossover GLR. Is there something similar for El over Road/Avenue/Road 4? If not, what’s the way to have El Over Road (categorically) cross over GLR - hopefully without creating a FLUP or GLR-to-subway tunnel?
  7. I'm not sure how/what PedMalls do - are they the NAM version of, for example, NYC subway underground walkways (ie. 14th St passage between 6th and 7th Ave, Times Square's walkway from 42nd/8th Ave (A,C,E trains) to 7th Ave (1,2,3 trains) to Broadway (N,Q,R,W trains)? Also, what bridge is that, and is there a way to dig to 15m and have it cliff-like vs sloped (Think like shoreline cliffs)?
  8. An idea I got after someone on SC4D sent me a link to the Hybrid-to-Subway mod: is it possible to dig a trench and run GLR on a viaduct over the Hybrid tracks? Screenshot using a road - the Hybrid tracks are 7.5 below (used the digger tool) and 1 square wide - not including slopes. (If it's possible, I'd have to figure out where the slope mods are in NAM46 and how to use them, but if it keeps me from having GLR and Hybrid intersections, I'm okay with that.)
  9. That works with using El Over Road/Avenue pieces? (I’m trying to replace the OWRs with El Over Road 4, but I can’t find a piece of way for El Over Road 4 or El over Avenue to intersect/cross GLR.)
