What up, Im trying to see what you guys think is the best public transportation for sims, im talking in terms of getting sims somewhere fast and efficient in the city not the region, an example would be if they lived in the corner of the city but need to get downtown or other side of city but theres congestion with cars so maybe they could take subway, rail, tram, bus, etc? what do you guys think is the best public transportation to use? I've only used some bus and some subway and basic rail but are those things that good to use or are there other better things to use? and should I even use rail for that or should I use hsr?     so I just got a message in the thing that sends messages to you and it said BSC lots known to improve gameplay but I couldn't click on it, weird huh? whats that mean even ? I've downloaded some bsc lots but idk what they mean by that. Im guessing they will make the city grown more or something? also how come I couldn't click on it like how some messages u can click on them for more info and others u can't.
  5. Raymond, thanks for the info, so when I put the dependency in the file do I extract it or install it? cuz it says install bsc….basically do I double click on it to install or should I extract it like other files? Thanks, B

  7. the one I showed you was: BSC Serenity Park, I aslo have things missing in the lots on others parks not related to BSC but I can tell you guys that after we look into this. I don't know how to delete the lot's base textures, how do you know which one is that?? Thanks, B

  9. ok I tried that but it just went blue instead of black and goes back n forth between blue and black
  10. how do I toggle the zones data view? I went to data view and hit zones, what do you mean toggle tho?

    Ok thanks, yes only reason I was trying them was to try something different from the ordinary grid we c so often, I see other people able to throw in some fan pieces thought it looked coo but thanks for the info
  12. sry for some reason I wasn't able to put text in it so I just posted the pics, basically this was downloaded mod park called serenity park...anyway it worked in the beginning then all of a sudden I go to play and its got that black base from far away and the blue base up close, so idk what happened, u guys have any idea?

    So I got a question about FANs (the angle road ones), when I put them down I can never use the road to connect them , I have a pic attached to show what I mean, I had standard road laid out , then decided to put FAN piece down and it connected but the next would not(maybe cuz of the park there) either way I couldn't put road in between it or on other side, is there a secret to doing that stuff?

    For some dependencies they didn't have any of those files, they only had .txt and .jpg files but I know dependencies are different than actual custom content, so what should I extract for dependencies then?

    Random question so when downloading parks, etc , when extracting files to plugins which files do I need to extract or should I just extract all of them ? so for example some have .sc4lot, .lot, .txt, .jpg, etc? just wanna make sure im doing them right, also when dependencies to download will say mega pack and others mega props, are they the same thing or different?

    ok so I get the bus/subway thing but im still unclear on the train to bus and/ or passenger train to freight train thing, so I should basically use different rail lines for my passenger trains vs freight trains and stations? I saw ur thing on the Brownsville city but I couldn't really get it up close cuz there was so much going on.

    @Naomi57 Thanks for the long explanation of stuff so im still a lil confused, I put bus stations next to my subway stations (side by side), so that wont work? couple q's do I need a tile away like I've heard on other posts for sims to be able to transfer or use either/or? so I can't place subway stations next to bus stops directly or was that only pertaining to bus stations to rail stations? I would like to use the way you used tho with train stations and bus stops tho.

    https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=6230.0 was looking for parks and plazas and somebody put up a list of them , almost all of the BLam French connections ones have no links(they say the dependencies but have no direct link).

    too many to name, its all good, another question tho I can't seem to find bsc bat props gas cooker vol.04 , now I can find vol.01 , my question is should I still download the dependency or should I wait til I find vol.4 and will it make a difference?
