  1. high tech IH missing $$$ jobs fix (update!)

Thanks for this mod, I have used it and also always link to it for vanilla bugfixes. It inspired me to also fix the Medical Clinic, Solar Power Plant and Nuclear Power Plant issues you noted and I made a mod for it: Link below since people interested in your mod will likely also be interested in this too!
  2. Hi, i've been struggling to get my head around NAM and the traffic tool for years now (haha) so I was hoping someone can explain something very basic too me... I am not playing with game-changing mods, and am trying to keep things quite "vanilla" - however one thing which I think makes a big difference is that the vanilla game uses a route-finder path that "gets sims to go to work with the shortest distance rather than the quickest route". So this can be quite restrictive when it comes to dealing with congestion. But what fixes this? I see NAM, Traffic Simulator Configuration Tool, Simulator Z, ??? I don't need/want all the extra roads, stations, adjustments (yet!) and just want to change the route-finder to something better. What do I need for this? Is there the Traffic Simulator Configuration Tool standalone? Thank you! Would be great to understand the basics as NAM seems so complex Edit: reading all the install files, it says things like "The RealRailway (RRW) standard for Rail is now the default and only option." Does this mean it will install and create options and not let me only have the pathfinder?
  3. Thanks a lot Corina - it's great news because I will finally be able to link to my guide now that I don't have to have the repackaged .dat on it!
  4. Hi all, so a while ago in 2015 when finding out about this I made a bugfix bundle with a clean SimCity_1.dat for anyone who didnt want to edit the dat file themselves. (My guide is still online). But now, it seems that the double demand bug was never a thing after all? I will need to re-do my guide if that's the case!
  5. HippoTank Demand Fix

I have no idea, it's quite a simple mod so it should be fine. You can check using the Extra Cheats plugin (which is shown in the screenshot). By holding shift ctrl and alt, and hovering over buildings using the query tool, you can see how many people are working in the relevant wealth sector.

HippoTank Demand Fix This is just the fix for the demand values for the Medical Clinic, Solar Power Plant, Nuclear Power Plant. What is actually happening ---------------------------------------------- > the game creates demand for a particular bracket of job but does not actually employ them. > The reason for this is because of a bug. In SimCity 4 the buildings that create demand (available jobs) does so by separating them by wealth bracket. There will be a certain about of jobs available for $ sims, $$ sims, and $$$ sims. This is displayed in a ratio. E.g. crude example- 20:50:30 means there are 20 jobs avialable for $ sims, 50 jobs for $$ sims and 30 jobs for $$$ sims. > The bug occurs when the data in game has two ratios with the same value. It causes the game to ignore one of the values. High Tech Industry has the ratio 10:80:10, and as a result of this bug it causes the $$$ part of the ratio to be ignored resulting in no $$$ sims being employed. > The other ratios with duplicate values are the Solar Power Plant, Nuclear Power Plant and the Medical Clinic. > THIS ONLY FIXES THOSE THREE AND NOT HIGH TECH DEMAND. I have a download bundle for those fixes included. Medical Clinic, Solar Power Plant, Nuclear Power Plant all missing jobs ---------------------------------------------- Instructions: Put HT_DemandFix.dat plugin in game (Program Files) plugins folder
