  1. Hi, OK I hope I am posting the question in correct section. I am total new to GMax and the other Batting and Lotting tools. OK, I have watched the YouTube GMax tutorial videos and trying to do like them but I am stuck. I have made a Model but when I go to apply texture on it, the texture won't show up on the Model. This is what I am doing: 1. Going to GMax Material Editor. 2. Then clicking New. 3. Then I get only 2 options... Standard & Multi-material. 4. I select Standard. 5. Then I click that small icon, double click on that Bitmap icon, select the jpeg or .bmp file and then click Apply. 6. Then I activate UVW Mapping But nothing happens. Any idea of what I am doing wrong. Thank you Edit: Also if I am making a model of 12*12 meter dimensions then what shall be the texture dimensions in pixels? Shall it be 256*256 pixels?
  2. Paeng's Southbury Station

Very nice but will only 1 road create any congestion in that road since roads in front of railway stations have high traffic?

  4. GMax Texture won't Load

I am already struggling with GMax and those 3DsMax, Blender, C4D all are more complex software... Reddon.. I have also done that but nothing... Just thinking what I am doing wrong... Can the size of textures be a prob... Is their some options in preferences that needs to be checked.

  9. Problems to install mods

If you have installed your Game in C:\ drive then install the plugins in this path C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins And from the very beginning take care of folder management and organizing them well.
  10. Hello, OK, I wanted to use the RTMT Addon I am also using the NAM 32 pre release version. (Yes, I know NAM 32 has been made stable now but at the time I downloaded it was the pre release version and I didn't installed the stable version after that... lazy here) So my question is ... Is the RTMT still needed after installing NAM 32 ? I needed some bus stops and subway stations which can sit at the street/road side without taking additional (1unit) space. I have downloaded some custom bus stops from the STEX but thay have some texture probs... They don't blend well with my default Maxis street/road textures. Thank you BTW, I have a bit of luck in breaking the dead stuck population growth prob of mine... Will be coming up with an update soon.
  11. What did I download wrong?

    nice city... nice parking slots.
  12. Finally a Bit of Success

Just a word of caution: R$ usually don't pay enough taxes for a city to afford full services. Unless you use some kind of money cheat, that's a hard task, unless you have enough high wealth commercial buildings in your city. Yup thank you I also not offering mucho services atm.
  13. RTMT Needed Still After NAM32?

I see....OK got it. Yes I really need these bus stops..
  14. Finally a Bit of Success

I don't want to get in to CAM atm. That's another new book. Yup I use NAM32. I don't have -ve R demand.... The R$ demand is still pretty good... I have set the taxes to 12% for R$$ and R$$$ to prevent them from entering the city atm. Thank you JBE... I didn't noticed it.
  15. RTMT Needed Still After NAM32?

OK Thank you everybody. I later realized that RTMT is a total system of laying down roads, streets, transit stops etc... I don't want to get in that atm. Thank you
  16. Thank you LTW. Yup Nonny, I use NAM32 pre release ver.
  17. Hi, This may sound silly but I used Radius Doubler and Industry Doubler and made only 1 city but except increasing radius and industrial jobs per industrial building it didn't did much... The main issue of dead stuck population growth didn't got solved. So shall I use them or not... Yes instead of 2-3 school in the beginning only 1 school can cover up the entire city radii but as population grows you do need more schools. So shall I use them or not... since I don't know that besides that radii effect what other internal game algo/logic twisting effect it has. Thank you Note: My main issue right now in my city or also for me to make a SC4 city or to play this game is the dead stuck population growth. Planning lot of things, reading lots of lots of guides and tuts, proving 100% edu, medi, police, fire, water coverage, zero garbage, very very low air and water pollution but still stuck at a population of 4500 is shameful. Atleast a population of 20,000 should be or must be achieved easily
  18. cheating with self... Also if one wants to start a CJ and if comments must keep on coming then a bit of cheat is necessary.
  19. Maybe a CJ...

    Perfect..
  20. water is there... The basics was going wrong.
  21. Yup in the doubler the power & water req. also doubles which seems realistic. pollution in doubler also doubles which is also realistic which misses in the quadrupler.
  22. You're right, I can't find it here... I have mine for years, lol I just checked the modification date of the file and it's august 2003 cool bonjour... tres bien
  23. OK... I will then stick with the doubler then. BTW, is the quadrupler deleted from whole internet? I didn't found it anywhere... But I won't use it also as it falls under cheat category... The doubler is perfect.
  24. I-HT Bug fix

Hmm I think I will go through the tut, re-write it in more easy way, get it checked by the experts in this forum and then follow that... Also I will post that easy peasy tut for newbies/dummies in the Omnibus. OK will be back soon.
