  1. SC 2013 looks 'Cartoonish'

I'm reminded of Liberty City in GTA4 haha
  2. International Airport

    Good question. Bump!
  3. I'm worried about road layouts.

There is a 'report avatar to EA' option thingy you can click in the region view off the main menu.
  4. Is the game too easy?

I do not understand how one could manage one city long enough to deplete it's mining resources. Of course it depends on how one prospects their claim over a mineral rich plot over a sparsely dotted one...but I guess I could stick with my current electronic boom town until all my ore and coal are gone. Casinos seem lucrative post patch...
  5. I do. It's interesting how familiar one can get with the big picture, then get completely lost once zoomed in.
  6. According to http://www.simcity.com/en_US/blog/article/building-simcity-wealth, - Balance Designer Ross Treyz Is it implied that one-third of residents should work in either commercial, one third in industrial, and one-third in civil services?
  7. I'm sure I enjoy the game more because I am aware I couldn't simply revert to an older saved state, sorta like a rouguelike playthrough. But I'm sure it's frustrating for some to not be able to go back and avoid a simple error in time. How about you?
  8. 2.0 - Initial Observations

Tourism is a 'B' to figure out. I sorta had it going with low end casinos pre-patch. But my general strategy is to make as much as possible, so I bee line to electronics. I can secure a steady income of a couple million a day with an average of 120k sims, pre patch...and post. I make mistakes with every play through so it's not fair to entirely blame the patch....
  9. Tax Rates per Wealth Level

11% down and across. I try to rush an electronics industry into development, then eliminate taxes across the board as I reap the profits.
  10. University Footpaths

University buildings are allowed to be built along footpaths, including Dormitories and Lecture Halls.
  11. How To Build "The Crazy Bridge"

This is the tourist attraction the Mid East needs. Really, I would pay to drive up and around that structure. Nice job!
  12. Yeshhh1!!!!!! Finally, I am looking forward to Mayoring post patch up....
  13. Help making profit!

If you manage to establish an electronics industry, the revenue generated from finished e-products should more than offset the cost of running a city...you can literally turn off all taxes and still make a profit. As far as I've noticed, approval ratings rocket and the civilian's issues with the economy diminishes.
  14. I import the same commodities myself, but retain your exported products for local use on Great Works instead. For my second city in the region, I've decided to build up a gambling empire on the side once my resources run their course. But I too am interested in importing all that is needed to build a computer/TV. For now however, I only import ore and plastic (recycling reclaims only so much) in my first city of the current region of topic. The 3 million daily profits from exports allow me to turn off all taxes for a daily expenditure of over 50K simoleons.
  15. Assuming you're the only Mayor in the region, how many real life hours does it take you to build a Great Work? I ask because I wonder if I have the patience to build one myself....thank you!
