I can't boot my Sim City 4 on my new machine. I don't know what to do. Nonny Moose you already know what machine I have so I'm hoping once you see this you could help me out. For all others if you think you have the answer I'm running Windows 8 with 2 cores 4 processors speed 3700mhz 8gb 1333 2dimm blah blah blah hardware I don't think is the issue but of course I could very well be wrong since I'm told Windows 8 runs the game just fine.

I installed Sim City 4 on my new rig an it won't boot. I don't know what to do. I'm sure the people here know which computer I have but just incase the specs are way above what I need. The problem may lie in where I installed an the Windows 8 even though I've been told it works pretty good in windows 8. I went to desktop mode an installed it there. So I don't really think the install area is wrong but I I don't know. Edit: I couldn't find a .exe file for SimCity 4 all I saw was simcity4.IOF or something weird like that. An it said that it was an application.

So far I am more than satisfied having used vista since it came out on this might I add "shitty" sony vaio lol. The upgrade in performance an OS was well worth the $500 I just don't want to get to excited yet. I'm going to give it a good working the next few days to make sure if its going to fail anywhere at all that it does it within the 15 day money back or replacement gurantee from BestBuy BTW specs aside I think its a really sleek, clean, modern looking chassis. The front has a carbon fiber looking texture on it, just a beautiful little budget gaming machine. I'm soo glad I didn't opt for one of those ridiculous looking power hours machines that have glowing lights all over them an like 6 fans an a see through sidewall. Makes me feel like I just bought a ricer lol with this I feel like a bought a ghost with a ton of room to add muscle. Edit - If an when I do upgrade would I be right to get stuff made by Asus? I'd like it that way as I'm a bit OCD the tower, mouse, and keyboard all says Asus an I know for a fact Asus makes their own motherboards which are not to be overlooked cause they are said to be very high quality builds.

How do you guys even use multiple monitors at the same time to display one desktop across 3 screens? What I mean by that question is how do you overlook the physical line in between each monitor sitting side by side.

Say I want to create a small park or a custom home from scratch (Not alter an existing lot with lot editor). Where do I begin? I've been looking through all the threads an all I've come up with thus far is.... + Lot Editor (downloaded) + ilive Reader (Downloaded Latest Version) + SimCity 4 Dat file (Copied an saved for backup) + GMax + Building Architecture Tool + Plugin Manager .... but now I'm lost lol I see all these other creations an I wonder how hard can it be. All I need is someone to point me in the right direction. I'm pretty good at figuring out how to work something once I have the essentials in front of me. I found a few threads that had links to useful programs but the link come up with "error - 404 page" or "Link non-existent" I don't want to do anything amazing just be able to create something simple an learn from there on my own. Okay so I added to the target this line.... "C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -CPUCount:1 -intro:off -audio:off Than I realized well maybe I want some sound in the game So I deleted the -audio:off part an applied likewise Q: How come I still don't have any sound? Note - I checked my audio settings in the game. Everything is set to where I should be able to hear the audio. I check my computer an the audio is not muted an the sound is actually turned all the way up just in case.

Last time I downloaded this game it took maybe 10-15 minutes at best. Now it's been near 30 an I'm at 6% I knew I shouldn't have deleted everything an tried to start from scratch lol

How would I bypass the router an connect directly to my ISP? Sounds to me if I even knew how to do that than the computer I'm on would be the only access to the internet in the entire house. Is that so?

What if you have a region with a single small city tile an nothing else. Does that possibly exile the commuter bug? Just wondering.

Could someone please give me some instructions on the proper installation of SimCity 4 Deluxe on Windows Vista Service Pack 2. (Current Issues) + Game Crashes Randomly unless run in Windows XP Mode + Must save plug-ins in the x86 directory for them to work "Have been told it is improper placement" + Some mods will not work no matter what ~ I have the correct version of the game Note - Hopefully "NonnyMoose" will come along an fill in what I need to know so that myself an anyone else with this issue can address it.

I took a couple photos of my small town in hopes of uploading them on here an sharing to see if I could get some advice. Sadly I cannot figure out where the photo files that I snapped in the photo mode are located on my computer. I've looked in the Sim City 4 Deluxe program files area but I've come up with nothing. Thought there would be a photo folder or something.

That is exactly what it is. Microsoft felt it was worth an HD render to be playable on the xbox 360. Not sure if they only changed the looks or redesigned the quests, dialogue and other aspects of the game. Was hoping someone would let me know if they've played it.
