  1. I wish I had your experience unfortunately the server issues are a very big deal and it's because of this that I don't believe this game will become a classic. Because when EA decides to turn the servers off down the road, you won't be able to access the game at all. From what I did play, I did like it but I got bored pretty fast after I ran out of space. Then when I tried to make anoth city in the same region, servers were down and I was kicked to the curb. Major issues.
  2. To buy or not ?

Not to buy especially if you play without internet connection. The always online means that the game runs on their servers. If you can't connect you can't play. Your game is also saved on their servers so if you can't connect to the specific server then you can't resume a game. A terrible move to do this and unacceptable.
  3. Anyone else find this Ironic?

Yeah, they made a game to only be played online and yet didn't have the availability to run the game online. So very sad face of them. Boo.
  4. Did SC2013 kill off SIMCITY?

It may not kill off Simcity but it will definately be in intensive care and need rehab for a while to get back on its collective feet. From the limited play time I've had I can say that yes it has nice graphics but I really loved the terraforming and I miss that. I love to create my own valleys and mountains and rivers. City sizes are small and even if I was able to control my region, which I couldn't, I can't have one city depend on the other for fire or police. These would need to be in every city. It just doesn't make much sense to me. They took a great game and made it impossible to play and enjoy.
  5. Paid spammer: Me love Simcity long time. And I'm Asian, so this joke is okay.
  6. Gamespot Review Just Posted......5/10!

Ouch. EA, you know that hurts. So many issues have stemmed just from the always online DRM feature. Hopefully, they will get a clue and realize perhaps the only way to save this is to make it an option not a requirement.
  7. Discussion about Always-On Connection to Origin

I could care less about mod support. I don't use it anyways. I'm a classic sim gamer, I just want to play in my own little sandbox without anyone on the internet helping or hindering me. I pre-order my game not knowing this was even a requirement, instead I foolishly assumed that like SC4, you can play solo. So wrong.
  8. This is utter heartbreaking.

Days? Weeks? EA knew they wanted to make this game playbale entirely online, it wasn't a last minute decision. So how can you make an online game and not have enough servers to run them? So we have to take turns playing after dropping $60? And if my internet connection goes down, I can't play at all. This is garbage.
