  1. Can someone tell me where to actually download this mod? The top post of the thread appears to be blank.
  2. Project Orion - 3k Extended Boundary

Can anyone explain to a semi-noob what this means, in more detail? Or explain like I'm five? I need to draw a road, using which road tools, from where to where? I seem to have everything connected up including multiple connections to the regional highway, but I cannot zone or plop anything besides BOC.
  3. WOW... Really?

Rule #1 of online gaming: no matter what time the servers go down for patching/maintenance, someone somewhere will take the timing as a personal affront.
  4. The purpose was to help out new players who might be looking for cheat codes for Sandbox mode. Searching "Extra Cheats DLL" returns your post above...and that's it. Searching "Cheat codes" does not return a dedicated thread on the subject except this one. I wasn't aware "bumping" was against the local rules. I certainly did not mean to annoy you to the extent I apparently did by doing so.
  5. Bumping, although haven't had a chance to test the cheats above.
  6. I've been a cheerleader for the game since joining the forums (based on beta gameplay, not just wishful thinking, mind you), but yeah, the patcher is as slow as molasses, and I'm on a huge pipe at work. Apparently I should have started my download on my home PC before I left for work, but I figured (based on reasonably fast beta patch speeds) it wouldn't be a problem. Oops! Guessing primetime tonight is going to be super ugly. EDIT: Nevermind, I'm in. Apparently, complaining here was key.
  7. Don't personally care about whether or not roads in the game conform to highway engineering textbooks. Just me.
  8. It's March 1st. I pre-ordered through Origin, and I don't see an option to download ("start loading") the game. Anyone know how to do this? That was only Amazon (regarding March 1) as far as I know, and Amazon changed their wording to now say: "Note: this game will not be available for pre-load prior to launch." (With no date.) I don't think Origin ever claimed March 1 in the first place.
  9. I'm definitely excited. I have three friends who have also pre-ordered, and I expect to be involved in multiple private sandbox and non-sandbox regions.
  10. You will be able to start downloading tomorrow. You will not be able to play till the 5th like everyone else.
  11. From the Amazon page: " Note: because the game will be available to start loading, this page will say "Available Now" starting March 1, 2013. Please keep in mind the game will not be playable until March 5, 2013 once Electronic Arts turns on the game servers. The The bonus content will be delivered upon release of the game."
  12. I think this is an inexact analogy at best. Just because so far it doesn't seem designed to allow someone to replicate London down to the street signs doesn't mean there isn't a large element of building and planning, especially when you consider that so many buildings are upgradable with separate 'plop points'. (For people who haven't played, for example this means that you can build a fire station, but later you can go back and add more truck garages to it, an alarm bell, etc, in a number of possible different expansion points for each lot, and those additions are all visible and animated.)
  13. Pasting my post from another thread: As far as if it's a 'good game', I've really, really enjoyed both Beta 2 and Beta 3 so far. My background is that I've played original SimCity, SC2K, SC3K, and SC4. (Also all the Sims games.) My favorite was SC3K. While I am definitely a 'sandbox' gamer, I don't seem to be as intensely into extreme city building as some of the longtime 4K players, so I don't have the same concerns (map size, etc) as many of the naysayers. (I understand intellectually, as I feel that Sims 3 is vastly inferior to Sims 2--meaning I understand what it's like to feel that your favorite franchise has been 'destroyed'--but so far I really enjoy SimCity 2013 and will buy it--bottom line, my opinion only.)
  14. SimCity Beta "Review"

I added the code to my Origin account a few minutes after the beta started, and was in 10 minutes later. I have residential cable with 20MB rating. Yes, the timing was very tight (in terms of when they sent the codes), but lots of us got in and were able to play for several hours. The game will be live in a few days anyway.
  15. I want to pre order this game

Don't forget, Amazon (US) is still running the promotion where, if you buy the *boxed* (not digital) LE from them ($59.99), they will give you a $20 credit on your Amazon account. If, like me, you order tons of stuff from Amazon anyway, this effectively brings your Limited Edition/Heroes and Villains price to $39.99.
