This is an amazing BAT. Like a few other BAT's I can hardly believe people are this talented to re-create these buildings. I have tried to BAt a bit myself, but man do I lack skills. I am looking forward to see this finished and hope it will be released to the public.

Great last picture ... the combination of the old roundhouse and the modern ICE maintenance facility.

Dear Jacgulina, Every time I need some piece and quiet I visit your journal. I become relaxed by just watching the fantastic pictures of Paradise Falls. The trees, the mountains, the streams and farms ... all of them are placed exactly at the right spot and make you forget the busy, rushing city life ... thank you. Nic.

David, I seem to have missed three updates ... shame on me ... after the map 01 update I couldn't stop laughing and seriously had to get myself together before I could continu reading. As mentioned by others .... you do take your map making seriously. So far I ahven't tried making a map. Lack of any photo editing skills has stopped me. At least it is a great pleasure reading your endeavours with map making and I will follow it closely. Take care, Nic.

Sin City Chronicles: A Recreation of Basin City
NicolaiS replied to ThePeoplesPerson's topic in SC4 City Journals
If ever "shock and awe" was a suitable expression it is now. What a fantastic pictures! The suburbs and farms ... just superbly placed and as realistic as I have seen in any other journal. The use of graphics in the story part of the journal .... can you say DARK? ... I love it. -

Spa, So far I really liked all your creations and with the last pictures shown you are really outdoing yourself. I can already imagine these great BAT's in my cities and I am looking forward to the release date. You are very talented and I am grateful your share your talents with the community. Kensington Manor is becoming a masterpiece. The green support columns are a very nice touch and I hope you will keep them in, even if they turn out a bit "dinky" in the game. Nic.

Dear Jacqulina, I really admire the way you present us your creations of paradise-like farms and woods and streams. I really does makes one to live there. Especially the ( Dutch ) windmills make me feel right at home. Nic.

You can alter the direction of the arrows by "holding" the ALT key.

John, Altough I looked at the last update on the day it was released I must have been overwhelmed by the pictures because I just noticed I hadn't replied to it. Shame on me. What I especially like about the last update is the "flow" of the highway downwards to the birdge crossing the river. I has an ultimate natural feel when I look at it. Futhermore I have always like your "section" wise updates. This way we, the readers, become familiar with your way of thinking and planning, which is all so important to us city builders to get ideas and inspiration. AVR has been, and still is, one of my most favorite places to visit. Nic.

Thats a tough question which is almost impossible to asnwer. There are almost 10,000 items on the STEX in every shape and size imaginable. What I would suggest to you is to think about how you like your city(s) to look. Think about a certain theme for example. Themes could be: Rural, High-rises, suburbs, European, American. Then visit the STEX and keep searching till you found the items you like best or fit best in your theme. A second option is to start with a creator you like best ... the "style" or "architecture" of the BATs for instance and get the items made by this creator. Every player has his or her's own "taste" and the only way to discover yours is to start searching. Also don't forget to test downloads first and use some decent form of organisation in your plugins folder. That will save a lot of headaches later. Hope I helped out a bit. Nic.

Jerbannus, What I would suggest is to empty your entire plugins folder and check if the problem still exists. If yes ... the perhaps the file you installed has been corrupted. If it does work correctly it proves there is a compatability problem, which you can solve by the half-half methode. I have the HSR working correctly and still have a HUGE plugins folder.
